Lord, please help me to earn more money. I am a low-paid professional lady with ### years' experience. Please Lord, open doors for me. I am not good at boasting about myself or my work and that is why I am not successful. Lord, please help me secure more work doing what I love.

We join with you in bringing this need before our Father and we hear the humility and honesty in your heart. You have labored faithfully for many years in the work you love and you desire to provide well and to see the Lord open doors for more opportunity, and we bring that desire to Him together in Jesus' name.

We take comfort that our God is our provider and He sees your diligence and your years of experience. He does not require us to boast or to exalt ourselves to be valued, for His way is different from the world's way. The world says we must promote ourselves loudly, but the Word says Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth Proverbs 27:2 and Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time 1 Peter 5:6. Your quiet and humble spirit is not a failure in God's eyes, it is precious to Him. At the same time He does call us to let our work be seen through excellence and faithfulness, for Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23 and Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings Proverbs 22:29. We pray He will make your faithful work known in the right places without you having to compromise your humility.

We also want to gently encourage you about how we approach God. You prayed to the Lord, and we rejoice in that, yet we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. When we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, we come through the one who shed His blood for us and rose again, and we are heard not because of our own merit but because of His. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, for that is the foundation of every other prayer and blessing.

We also hear your desire to earn more, and we know God cares about our daily needs. He promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and to Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We must keep our hearts guarded, for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil 1 Timothy 6:10, but desiring to be fairly provided for through honest, God-honoring work that you love is good and right, for Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights James 1:17. We pray not simply for more money, but for contentment, wisdom, and provision that allows you to continue serving Him with joy.

So we pray together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this dear sister to You. You know her years of labor, her skill, her humble heart, and her financial needs. We ask You to open doors that no one can shut Revelation 3:8, to grant her favor with those who need the very work she loves to do, and to establish the work of her hands upon her Psalm 90:17. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3, and we commit her plans to You now. Provide for her needs abundantly, give her wisdom to steward opportunities well, and let her find that her faithful labor is recognized without her needing to boast. Give her peace as she trusts You, and help her to keep seeking Your kingdom first, knowing You will add what is needed. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to continue committing your work to the Lord daily, to do all with excellence as unto Him, and to humbly make your availability known to others, allowing your consistent good work and the testimony of those you have served to speak for you. Trust His timing, remain diligent, and rest in the assurance that He sees, He values your humble spirit, and He is able to provide more than we can ask or imagine.

We hear the weight in what you shared, wanting to do work you love and to be paid fairly for years of faithful experience, and feeling held back because talking about yourself does not come naturally. That humility is a good quality, and it makes sense that self promotion feels uncomfortable.

Many capable professionals feel the same way. Letting others know what you do well is not really boasting, it is simply helping people understand how you can serve them, so they can find you when they need that help.

One small step that has helped others is to ask someone who knows your work and respects you, a former colleague, supervisor or client, to help you put words to your strengths. Ask them what they would say about your work if they were recommending you, and use their honest words to shape a short, simple description for a profile, resume or conversation. It can feel much more natural to share what others have seen in you.

We are praying for you and standing with you in this season of needing more provision.

Father, we lift our sister to You, thanking You for the gifts You have given her and the years she has stewarded them faithfully. Give her wisdom, open doors for good work that fits her calling, and provide for her needs according to Your care. Give her courage to let her work be seen without fear, and peace as she trusts You with what comes next. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer concerning work and daily provision is heard, and it is a right and honest prayer to bring before the Lord. To desire to do what you love with diligence and to be fairly provided for in it is no covetousness, but a proper asking of your Father who knows that you have need of these things.

You say you are not good at boasting about yourself or your work, and that you fear this has held you back. Let me tell you plainly, that humility is no hindrance with God. The world may reward the loudest voice, but the Lord looks upon the faithful hand and the quiet spirit. It does not always do to open your mouth wide to man, but it is ever right to open your mouth wide to God. He says, I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. You need not puff yourself up before men if you learn to plead largely before God. Ask little of man and expect less, but ask much of God, for His fountain is still open and He is able to fill all your need.

Remember also that Christ Himself is the Door. When you rise in the morning and go out to work, you pass through doors, and so our Lord says, I am the Door. He meets you wherever you are, and He is able to set before you an open door which no man can shut. Passing through a door is not a difficult operation if the door is open, and coming to Christ with your care is not difficult. Bring your work to Him. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and trust Him to add what is needful. The open evidences of His care are seen not only in great wonders, but in a thorough change of life and in daily faithfulness in the calling He has given you.

Therefore do not be discouraged because you cannot boast. Let your work itself speak, let your character commend you, and let your prayer be that God would open doors for honest labour. There are stores of grace laid up for His people, and you must not expect to have grace for tomorrow in today, but grace will come as the day requires. He who has kept you these many years will not fail you now.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, You are Jehovah who provides for Your children, and Your fountain is open still. Look upon Your handmaiden who desires to labour faithfully in the work You have given her to love. Open doors for her which no man can shut, and grant her favour where she seeks honest employment. Give her to ask largely at Your mercy seat, to trust not in boasting but in Your good providence, and to find contentment and provision in Your hand. Keep her from anxiety, make her diligent and hopeful, and let her see Your goodness in the land of the living, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is the Door and the only way to the Father. Amen.
