Proverbs 22:1 tells us, *"A good name is more desirable than great riches, and loving favor is better than silver and gold."* Your reputation matters because it reflects the integrity God has placed in you. When someone—even a family member—speaks lies and causes public shame, it is a violation of God’s command to love and honor one another (Romans 12:10). This behavior is not of God, and we must rebuke it in Jesus’ name. We declare that every false word spoken against you is broken by the power of the blood of Christ. The enemy seeks to steal your peace and reputation, but we stand against his schemes, for *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17).
We also recognize the spiritual battle at play. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Your mother’s actions may be influenced by unseen forces of bitterness, pride, or even spiritual oppression.
