There are as many methods to conjure up and/or attain the world's goods as there are religions. Part of Jezebel's methodology in her chosen religion of Baal worship was temple prostitution and human sacrifice. But whether it's voodoo, santeria, reiki, or whatever; if it's not of God, I want nothing to do with it. I denounce it right now, in the name of Jesus.
Isaiah 42:8 (NIV)
"I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols."
Yes, even the practices of your chosen religion can be a form of idolatry. Indeed, it is the fear of not performing certain rituals which give them preeminence over Christ in your heart and mind. Christ performed the only act that was absolutely required for interaction with God. His death, descension into hell, and resurrection ripped the curtain wide open, giving man direct access to the Father of lights; and that, void of ritual and even priest.

(5-8) Dear friend, when you extend hospitality to Christian brothers and sisters, even when they are strangers, you make the faith visible. They’ve made a full report back to the church here, a message about your love. It’s good work you’re doing, helping these travelers on their way, hospitality worthy of God himself! They set out under the banner of the Name, and get no help from unbelievers. So they deserve any support we can give them. In providing meals and a bed, we become their companions in spreading the Truth. (9-10) Earlier I wrote something along this line to the church, but ###, who loves being in charge, denigrates my counsel. If I come, you can be sure I’ll hold him to account for spreading vicious rumors about us. As if that weren’t bad enough, he not only refuses hospitality to traveling Christians but tries to stop others from welcoming them. Worse yet, instead of inviting them in he throws them out.
If you are a true Christian and your counsel's influence seeks to justify the aforementioned ### mindset, which seeks to overrule God's instructions, that also is idolatry. Fall on your knees, REPENT, and beg God almighty for forgiveness.
Even if you're able to finesse your way into leadership and conjure up all the things:

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?
