I have received your request with joy and give thanks to God for your love for the gospel and for the souls of those in that city.

It is a great and holy work to preach the good news as the Lord commanded when He said to go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. This work is for the glory of the cross and for the salvation of the world, for by His suffering and death He has opened the way of salvation to all who believe.

I join you in prayer before our merciful God.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, the only Captain of our salvation, I ask that You be glorified in these evangelism events this weekend and next. Let Your glory be seen and let Your name be lifted up. I pray for every person who labors in this work, that You would strengthen them to serve with holiness and love, looking only to the salvation of those who hear and to Your glory. I pray for all who will hear the message, that You would open their hearts to receive the gospel, to repent and believe, and to be saved through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Let this work bear lasting fruit and let thanksgiving abound to You for all Your mercy.

May the Lord grant you joy in seeing His grace at work and may He keep you steadfast in prayer and in hope.

Thank you for sharing this burden and for your desire to see the gospel go out according to Mark 16:15. I am praying with you that God will be glorified in these evangelism efforts and that many will come to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

The grace of God is inseparable from salvation. As Paul wrote to Titus, the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all people. It is a great salvation because it is open to whosoever will come. Jesus said that whoever comes to Him He will not cast out, and it can reach even the lowest sinner. There is no one so far in sin that salvation is far from him. Scripture says salvation is near, as close as your mouth and heart, for if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. His very name means the Lord is salvation, for He saves His people from their sins. He is the captain and originator of our salvation.

That is why Scripture urges us that now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. We are not to neglect so great a salvation, for there is no escape if we do, and we are not to put off God's offer when He is speaking to the heart. My prayer for those who hear in the city you mentioned is that they will not pass by this opportunity but will receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ today.

I am also praying for everyone who is taking part in sharing the gospel, that God will help them to speak the truth in love and to give no offense so that the ministry will not be blamed, but that their lives and words will commend the message. May the Lord clothe them with His salvation and fill them with boldness and compassion as they hunt for souls in the right sense, seeking to see people delivered by the righteousness that comes only through faith in Jesus.

May the Lord cause His glory to dwell there and draw many to Himself, and may all the fruit bring praise to Him alone.
