miserable

Servant of All
Dear Lord i really do not know what to do. is it a sin to ask God why i was created and why life is so unfair? i want to give up. please take my soul. i pray in Jesus name. amen

We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts ache with you. You are not alone in feeling this way, and it is not a sin to cry out to God in your pain, even with raw, honest questions. The Bible is filled with people who poured out their hearts to God, wrestling with suffering, injustice, and despair. The psalmist David cried, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, from the words of my groaning?" (Psalm 22:1). Even Jesus Himself, in His darkest hour, echoed these words (Matthew 27:46). God can handle your questions, your anger, and your tears. He invites you to bring them to Him, not as accusations, but as an act of trust that He is big enough to hold your pain.

But we must gently rebuke the thought that God would want you to give up or surrender your soul. Scripture is clear: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Your life has purpose, even when you cannot see it. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says the Lord, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." This does not mean life will be easy, but it does mean God is working even in the suffering. The enemy wants you to believe the lie that your life has no value, but we declare that is not true. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a plan for you, one that includes hope, not destruction.

We also want to speak to the weight of "unfairness" you feel. Life in a fallen world is unfair. Sin entered the world and brought brokenness, pain, and death (Romans 5:12). But God did not leave us in this state. He entered into our suffering through Jesus Christ, who endured the ultimate unfairness, betrayal, abandonment, and a brutal death, so that we could have eternal life. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). This is the hope we cling to: that our suffering is temporary, but God’s love and redemption are eternal.

If you are feeling suicidal or as though you want to give up, we urge you to reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a counselor, a friend, or a crisis hotline. You do not have to carry this burden alone. God often works through His people to bring comfort and help. "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). Please, let someone walk with you through this valley.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is in deep pain. Lord, You see their tears, You hear their cries, and You collect every one of them in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would draw near to them in this moment, wrapping them in Your love and reminding them that they are not forgotten. Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them their life has no purpose or that they are better off giving up. We declare that You have a plan for them, a future filled with hope, and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we ask that You would give them the strength to take one more step, one more breath, one more day. Surround them with people who will speak life into them, who will remind them of Your truth, and who will walk alongside them. Father, if there is any sin or unforgiveness in their heart, reveal it to them so they can bring it to the cross and find freedom. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways.

We pray for healing, emotional, spiritual, and even physical healing if that is part of their struggle. Lord, You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we trust You to restore what has been broken. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), and to remember that this life is not the end. Give them a glimpse of eternity, where there will be no more pain, no more tears, and no more suffering (Revelation 21:4).

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for us as we seek to support them. Show us how to love them well, to speak truth in love, and to point them back to You. May Your Holy Spirit move powerfully in their life, bringing comfort, clarity, and renewed hope.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who conquered sin and death so that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Amen.

Friend, we want you to know that your feelings are valid, but they do not have the final say. God’s Word does. Cling to His promises, even when they feel distant. Psalm 42:11 says, "Why are you cast down, my soul? Why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God." You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He is not done with your story yet. Keep crying out to Him. Keep seeking Him. And let others help carry the weight with you. You are not alone.

We want you to know that we are here, and we are listening. Your pain is real, and the questions you are asking come from a place of deep anguish that we do not take lightly. Please hear this clearly: if you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. Trained people are ready to help you right now, and reaching out is an act of courage, not weakness.

We hear in your cry a profound weariness and a sense that the weight of existence has become unbearable. Asking God “why” is not a sin; it is the language of lament, the honest pouring out of a soul that is hurting. God is not offended by our raw confusion, He meets us in it. The idea that your life is a mistake or without purpose is a lie that pain whispers, but it is not the truth. You are not here by accident, and even in this darkness, your life has value.

When the tunnel of hopelessness closes in, it can feel like there is no other option, but that is exactly when reaching for a hand is most critical. We urge you to do one concrete thing: call that helpline, or tell one trusted person, a friend, a pastor, a family member, exactly what you told us here tonight. Let someone sit with you in this. You do not have to carry it alone.

We are praying for you, and we are confident that others are too, even now. That knowledge, that you are being held up before God, can bring a steadiness you cannot create on your own.

Lord Jesus, You see this person’s misery and hear their cry. Draw near in their despair, and hold them back from the edge. Send someone to their side right now, a voice of kindness, a hand to grip. Quiet the lies that devalue their life, and give them a flicker of hope to hold onto. In Your name we pray, amen.

Dear Father God please give strength encouragement life to those desperate souls. Let them understand that the only way to find life is through your son by having a steady consistent relationship with him through faith. Active prayer and a time worship. Thank you heavenly Father. Lord Yeshuas name.

A smoking Flax he will not quench, and a bruised reed shall be not break. Lord Yeshuas name.

Thank you Father gor loving and supporting your little chcurchs. The most poor. Most vulnerable to disease. Starvation. I would live to help some day and offer love mercy and support if its your will for me. Thank you God for letting me support the poor weak helpless those in need.

It is a bitter cry, but let there be no mistaking it, despair is a high insult to God. You ask if it is a sin to question why you were created and why life is so unfair. The answer turns entirely on the spirit of the questioning. There is a vast difference between humble enquiry and Evil Questioning, who is a traitor to your soul. Evil Questioning invariably draws his conclusions from his wishes. He comes dressed as Honest Enquiry, but his end is to whisper that God's ways are not right, that His purpose is flawed. Such questioning is a hot shot for unbelief, and you must execute it without mercy. No mortal has a just pretense to perish in despair; it is a form of willful self-destruction.

You speak of giving up and ask God to take your soul. This casts abundant dishonor upon God's mercy. Know you not that his mercy endures forever? Has He not told us that He delights in mercy? The ground of God’s love is God’s love, and nothing in you. Does a child demand the architect explain every scaffold and dig his foundations? God is carrying out His one great purpose; none of these things come to you by chance, but according to the purpose of His own will. He has a purpose, it is incapable of change, and that purpose is sure to be effected. What His soul desireth, that He doeth. Shall He purpose, and shall it not come to pass? If you mind not what you are doing, what you say in your despair will come true through your own making it so. Despair degrades a man below the brute beast, for see how an insect will struggle even when cut in halves.

Yet, look away from your own gloomy picture. Your suffering, however severe, is not the suffering of a pure and holy Being for the sins of others. Consider Him who was made perfect through suffering. Our Lord Jesus Christ was a perfect Savior, and He became so through suffering. He suffered, but there was no resistance. He was not rebellious. The completeness of His suffering ennobles the whole work of grace. Because He knows the very bitterness of sorrow, He enters into your trying experience very fully; His suffering through being tempted must have been much greater than any the purest-hearted believer can know. And He suffered that He might be able to succor them that are tempted. Brother, sister, the Lord means to make of you one who can console others. You will yet declare His wondrous works, for He has been your teacher from your youth. He chastens, but He never casts out. You remain God’s pupil.

Therefore, far from your heart be the idea that any temptation or sorrow should lead you to despair. Jesus did not despair. Jesus triumphed. He cried, "In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s dear Son, cleanses us from all sin. The Eternal Father says of the suffering Savior, "He shall see the fruit of the travail of his soul." The purpose for which Christ died cannot fail. God’s promise may tarry, but it never fails. Has God forgotten to be gracious? Let that question be the death of your despair. Come, now, and look to the suffering Christ outside the camp. Commune with Him who has sanctified you by His own blood. His having been saved through suffering means that if you trust in Him, every pang that rends your heart now will be a note in the eternal symphony of praise that you shall one day raise to Him.
