Mind destroying people

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray that everyone using mind and life destroying weapons against me would be destroyed in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We hear the deep pain and distress in your cry for help, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting this heavy burden to the Lord. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not alone in this struggle, and we join you in seeking God’s justice, protection, and peace.

First, we must address the weight of your words, asking for the destruction of those who harm you. While we understand the depth of your suffering, Scripture calls us to a higher standard. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This is not to dismiss your pain but to remind us that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). We can trust Him to bring justice in His perfect way and time.

We also want to gently remind you that our prayers must always be offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to God’s throne, and it is by His authority that we pray. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to consider the gift of salvation He offers. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is enduring mind and life-destroying attacks. Lord, You see the pain, the fear, and the exhaustion they are experiencing. We ask for Your mighty hand of protection to surround them, shielding them from every weapon formed against them. Let no harm come to them, and let every scheme of the enemy be brought to nothing, as Your Word declares in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me."

Father, we ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill them with Your strength when they are weak, and remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Lord, we also pray for those who are perpetrating these attacks. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to Your truth, and turn their ways from darkness to light. Let them see the error of their ways and repent, for You desire that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9).

We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. We stand on Your promise in Psalm 37:6, "He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun."

Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment for our brother/sister. Show them how to navigate this trial with faith and trust in You. Surround them with godly counsel and support, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is dark.

We also pray for healing, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Restore what has been broken and renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Let them rise above this trial, not in their own power, but in the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your name be exalted. We trust in You, our Rock and our Redeemer. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. The enemy may seek to destroy, but our God is greater. Cling to His Word, spend time in prayer, and surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in faith. You are not forgotten, and your cries are heard. The Lord is your defender, and He will fight for you. Keep your eyes on Him, for He is faithful.

Thank you for sharing what has been weighing on you. Feeling like your mind and life are under attack is exhausting and frightening, and we want you to know we have heard you and we are praying for you.

When fear gets this intense it can narrow everything down and make it hard to rest or think clearly. You do not have to carry this alone. It can help to stay connected to steady, caring people around you, a pastor, a trusted friend or family member, or a counselor who can walk with you in person and listen well. If these thoughts are making it hard to sleep, to feel safe, or to get through the day, please consider reaching out to a medical professional or counselor alongside prayer, so you have support for both your spirit and your mind.

We believe God sees you, He is near, and His care for you is stronger than any threat you fear.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. We ask for Your peace to guard their mind and heart, for restful sleep, for clarity and safety, and for trusted people to surround them. Lead them to the help and hope they need and remind them they are held in Your hands. Amen.

Your cry tells of a soul sorely pressed and a mind deeply troubled, feeling beset on every side and fearing for life itself. We have heard you, and we bring your burden before the Lord who is near to all who call upon Him in truth.

Hear what the Scripture says, There is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. That forgiveness is only to be obtained from God, through Jesus Christ, His Son. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and it is surprising and complete and eternal, purchased by precious blood. It yields a calm so deep that it can only be called the peace of God which passes all understanding.

We cannot join you in asking God to destroy persons made in His image, for vengeance belongs unto the Lord, and our Saviour teaches us to pray for those who despitefully use us, even as Christ forgave us, so also are we to forgive. Revenge is paltry, forgiveness is great minded, and the Lord would have us copy the pattern set before us in Christ, who not only forgave at the first, but continues daily to forgive. To ask for the destruction of others would be to ask contrary to the spirit of that forgiveness which we ourselves so desperately need.

Rather, we will pray for you as the Word directs. We will pray that the Lord will keep you in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him, because you trust in Him. That peace is a present possession, and the blood of Jesus whispers peace within even when sorrows surge around and when duties press and fears abound. We will pray that He will guard your mind and body, that He will deliver you from all real evil and from all tormenting fear, that He will put His fear within your heart and give you a new heart and a new spirit, and that He will bring you nearer to Himself through this trial, for often the enmity and pressure that distress us drives the Christian nearer to his God and teaches him to pray as he never prayed before.

Let us pray together. O Lord God, with whom there is forgiveness, look in mercy upon this troubled one. Wash away all sin through the blood of Christ and speak peace to a tossed spirit. Keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee. Guard mind and life, deliver from fear, and let no weapon formed against him prosper. Teach him to forgive even as he has been forgiven, and to leave all judgment in Thy righteous hands. Fill him with holy fear and love and trust, that he may know Thou art his keeper and his refuge. In the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Saviour, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and the distress and fear within it are not overlooked by God. When the mind is tormented and you feel attacked on every side, it is right to run to the Lord for refuge, for He alone is our true protector and keeper.

Yet the way Christ teaches us to pray in such trials is not to ask for the destruction of people, even those we believe mean us harm. The Lord said to bless those who persecute you and to pray for those who mistreat you, and that vengeance belongs to Him alone. To be meek is not only to bear being struck, but to bless when we are persecuted, and to be merciful is to forgive as we have been forgiven. Scripture shows us that forgiveness is the short and easy path God has given us for our own peace, and that bearing affliction nobly, with trust in God rather than with hatred toward others, makes us stronger and keeps our hearts free.

So I will not pray with you for the destruction of any person, for God desires not the death of the sinner but that all would turn and live. Instead I will pray with you for what is good and holy in His sight.

Let us pray together: Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, look upon this Your servant who is troubled in mind and spirit. Grant protection from all evil, guard the mind and life with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and give a spirit not of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. Deliver from torment, from fear, and from every work of darkness. Bring comfort, clarity, and rest. If there are those who truly intend harm, restrain their evil and lead them to repentance and the knowledge of Your truth, that they may be saved. Help Your servant to forgive as You have forgiven, to leave judgment in Your hands, and to bear this trial with courage and trust until You bring deliverance. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Continue to cast your cares upon Him in prayer each day, remain in His Word, and seek the steady support of a trusted pastor or faithful believers near you who can walk with you, pray with you, and help you bear this burden. If this torment weighs heavily on your thoughts and daily life, please also reach out for care and counsel from those God has given to help us in body and mind. God is near to those who call upon Him with a sincere heart, and He will not forsake you.

I hear the deep distress and fear in your prayer, the sense that your mind and life are under attack, and I want to respond with care and truth from Scripture.

God sees when His people feel persecuted and pressed, and His Word assures us that He is just. Those who inflict suffering and tribulation are not hidden from Him, and He will judge righteously in His own time and way. That judgment belongs to the Lord, not to us. We are told clearly that vengeance is His, and He will repay. Our part is not to ask for the destruction of other people, but to place them and ourselves into His hands and trust His justice and mercy.

There is a powerful picture of this in the story of Jacob and Esau. For years there was anger and bitterness between the brothers, and Jacob feared a violent meeting. Yet God changed the heart of Esau, and when they finally met there was not recrimination but embrace, forgiveness and tears. That reunion came because God worked in the heart. In contrast, Scripture warns about anger that takes vengeance into its own hands, as when Jacob later rebuked his sons for their violent revenge on a whole city, calling that anger cursed. God honors a heart that seeks peace and leaves retribution to Him.

The peace you are longing for in your mind cannot come through wishing harm on others. In the New Testament grace and peace are always linked in that order, because you cannot know the peace of God until you have first received the grace of God. Peace with God comes only through the blood of Jesus Christ shed for the forgiveness of sins. When you have peace with God, He then offers the peace of God to keep your heart and mind, a peace that passes human understanding. The prophet says He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled.

That is why the wisdom that comes from above is described as peaceable. It leads to peace and allows you to sow peace. Jesus said blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God, and the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. This is also the key to health in our inner life. Scripture shows that receiving forgiveness from God and learning to forgive others as God has forgiven us brings rest to the conscience and mind. When we are filled with His Spirit we find the contentment and calm that many seek elsewhere.

So I will not join you in praying for the destruction of people, but I will pray for you earnestly in the way Scripture directs.

I pray that God will draw you into deeper peace with Himself through Jesus Christ, that you will know His grace and forgiveness fully, and that His peace will guard your heart and mind. I pray that He will quiet fear, heal the turmoil in your thoughts, keep your mind stayed on Him, and fill you with His Spirit. I pray that He will protect you from all real harm, restrain any evil directed against you, and deal justly and mercifully with those who would harm you, changing hearts where He wills and stopping wrongdoing according to His perfect will. And I pray that your faith will grow and your love abound, even through this hard trial, as you trust the Lord of peace Himself to give you peace always by every means.

If these thoughts of being attacked persist and deeply trouble your mind, please also reach out to a trusted pastor and to caring people around you for ongoing support and help, so you are not carrying this burden alone.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer concerning the deep distress you shared about feeling attacked by mind and life destroying weapons.

We understand how heavy and overwhelming it can feel to carry this burden, and we have continued to lift you up before the Lord. We have prayed and we continue to pray that God would cover you with His protection, guard your mind and heart with His perfect peace, and thwart every weapon and plan formed against you. We ask Him to grant you a sound mind and rest and to let no evil prosper against you, as we are reminded in 2 Tim 1:7 that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind, and in Isa 54:17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. We also pray that the Lord would bring His perfect justice and mercy to this situation, that He would convict and change the hearts of those who seek to harm you, and that His will would prevail, for we know from Rom 12:19 that vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay.

We trust in Him to be your refuge, your defender and your deliverer, and we ask for His healing, peace and wholeness to rest upon you in Jesus Name.

If you have seen the Lord bring relief, protection or peace, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If you continue to feel under attack and your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
