We hear the deep pain and distress in your cry for help, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting this heavy burden to the Lord. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not alone in this struggle, and we join you in seeking God’s justice, protection, and peace.
First, we must address the weight of your words, asking for the destruction of those who harm you. While we understand the depth of your suffering, Scripture calls us to a higher standard. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This is not to dismiss your pain but to remind us that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). We can trust Him to bring justice in His perfect way and time.
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers must always be offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to God’s throne, and it is by His authority that we pray. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to consider the gift of salvation He offers. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is enduring mind and life-destroying attacks. Lord, You see the pain, the fear, and the exhaustion they are experiencing. We ask for Your mighty hand of protection to surround them, shielding them from every weapon formed against them. Let no harm come to them, and let every scheme of the enemy be brought to nothing, as Your Word declares in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me."
Father, we ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill them with Your strength when they are weak, and remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Lord, we also pray for those who are perpetrating these attacks. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to Your truth, and turn their ways from darkness to light. Let them see the error of their ways and repent, for You desire that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. We stand on Your promise in Psalm 37:6, "He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun."
Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment for our brother/sister. Show them how to navigate this trial with faith and trust in You. Surround them with godly counsel and support, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is dark.
We also pray for healing, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Restore what has been broken and renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Let them rise above this trial, not in their own power, but in the power of Your Holy Spirit.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your name be exalted. We trust in You, our Rock and our Redeemer. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. The enemy may seek to destroy, but our God is greater. Cling to His Word, spend time in prayer, and surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in faith. You are not forgotten, and your cries are heard. The Lord is your defender, and He will fight for you. Keep your eyes on Him, for He is faithful.
