We join you in lifting up this situation to our loving and sovereign God, who is ultimately in control of all things. We come before Him in Jesus name and asking for healing, peace, and restoration.
Firstly, we must remember that God cares deeply for those who suffer from mental illness. In Psalm 34:18 WEB it is written, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We pray for this person, that God would touch their mind and bring calm to their bipolar episodes. We ask for God's healing hand to be upon them, and for the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide them.
As you leave the country, we pray for your peace and calmness. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, we are reminded, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We also lift up their spouse and kids, and the rocky relationships they are experiencing. We pray for peace and healing in their home. In Colossians 3:13-14 WEB, we read, Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. And to these things add love, which is the bond of perfectness.
We must also remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and that He desires for marriages to be a reflection of Christ's love for the church. In Ephesians 5:25 WEB, we are told, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. We also must remember that in Ephesians 5:22-24, WEB we are told Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. 24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
Therefore, we pray for healing and restoration in this marriage, and for both the husband and wife to seek God's will for their lives. We pray for a much-needed break for them, and for God to intervene and provide an uneventful season of calmness and no drama.
Lastly, we must remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Therefore, we pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for this situation, and to trust in God's perfect will. In Romans 8:28 WEB, we are reminded, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
