We have heard your heart and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in this season where you feel lost and alone and mentally burdened. You are not alone, even when it feels that way, and we thank you for reaching out in prayer. God sees you right where you are and He draws near to those who are struggling.
The Word reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. We cling to His promise when He says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. He also says, Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid nor be scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6. When our minds feel overwhelmed, He invites us to cast all our worries on Him, because He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7, and to come to Him for rest, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. And we are promised that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus when we bring our requests to Him. Philippians 4:6-7.
We noticed your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name matters so deeply to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. When we pray in Jesus name we are coming through the One who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs, who understands our weakness and intercedes for us. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name daily for mercy, help and healing.
We join together now to pray for you. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You see the heaviness of mind, the loneliness, the feeling of being lost. We ask that You wrap Your presence around them right now and let them know they are not forgotten or forsaken. Lord, lift this burden and bring Your light into this dark valley. Heal the brokenhearted places, calm anxious thoughts, and guard heart and mind with Your peace that passes all understanding. Strengthen them day by day, give them restful sleep, clear hope for tomorrow, and the assurance that You are with them and will not let go. Lead them to supportive community, to godly counsel and trusted believers who can walk with them, and to help that will encourage healing. If there are any lies of isolation or hopelessness, we ask You to replace them with Your truth that nothing can separate us from Your love. We pray for renewed strength, for joy to return, and for Your will to be done in their life as they seek You. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to keep bringing every thought and fear to God in prayer throughout the day, to stay in His Word even in small portions, and to not walk through this alone. Reach out to a pastor, a mature Christian friend, or a biblical counselor who can listen and pray with you regularly, and if the struggle feels heavy for a long time please also seek help from a trusted medical or mental health professional. God often brings healing through both His Spirit and through the help of others He places around us. Keep seeking Him, for He is faithful and He will uphold you.
