Father we thank You for ordaining government through Adam, Gen 1:27, and Pray for Our Presidents, V.P.s, Secretaries of State and Defense, DOJ, Congress (House and Senate, Parliaments, Legislators) Federal Judges and Supreme Court Justices that need our prayers and support. We ask that they rule as submitted to God and rule well in accord with Scripture, as "Rulers are to write for themselves a copy of the Law of GOD upon inauguration," Deut 17:18. Furthermore, we ask for wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity for our nation's defense: The Pentagon, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Generals, Military Commanders and other Bureaus, Intelligence, and those of all peoples who need Christ, Your wisdom and Your sovereignty (which we participate with GOD in governing, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, through cooperating with His intentions and ways, Ps 86:11, through Your Word, Deut 17:18, Josh 8:32, 2 Tim 3:15-16, God-given Counsel, Prov 11:14, Prov 24:6, and Prayer, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, 1 Tim 2:1-4).

Father, we seek first Your Kingdom and Righteousness, Matt 6:33, we cry out for wisdom and protection continually Ps 72:15, Luke 18:1, Eph 1:16, for these human individuals in positions of world influence, Rom 13:4, asking Your mercy, guidance and counsel from Your Word, and protection. Keep them from the evil one, 2 Kings 6:12, Jn 17:15, imposters and evil people, 2 Tim 3:13, let them turn away from such false people, 2 Tim 3:5, and let the evil ones be replaced, Ps 75:6-7, Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We concede that there are no perfect rulers and actually see the wisdom in asking, "Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Matt 6:10, and pray as the Disciples, Paul and John do, "Come Lord Jesus,"1 Cor 16:22, Rev 22:20...

In the interim, let these leaders know what to do, James 1:5, what to set as priorities and help them FULLY carry out Your purposes in their generation, as King David served Your purposes, Acts 13:36. Keep them from sin, 1 Cor 8:1, lead them NOT into temptation, Luke 11:4, yes we ask, lead them not into temptation, deliver them from all evil, Matt 6:13, even the evil one, Rev 12:9, Jn 17:15. It is written, You will keep them from the evil one, 2 Thes 3:3. You will give Your angels charge over them, Ps 91:11-13. Thank You in advance, Matt 11:23-24, as we trust in You with all our hearts and pray, not lean on our own understanding, Prov 3:5-6, in Jesus Name, since there is "no other Name given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, 1 Tim 2:5, again with thanksgiving we offer these requests, let now the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, The Amen, Faithful Witness and Originator of God's New Creation, Rev 3:14, even the Name of Jesus Christ, from whose Full Inheritance we each receive blessing after blessing, John 1:16, Eph 1:3, Eph 1:17-20, and in Him all God's Promises are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in this deep and faithful cry for Messiah to reign through those who are re-created according to His image and for prayer according to His Word to shape both spiritual and earthly rulers.

We affirm what you have brought before the Lord, that God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness and let them have dominion, Gen 1:26, and God created man in his own image, Gen 1:27. In Christ we are a new creation, and it is right to ask that His life and reign be manifest through believers who seek first Your Kingdom and righteousness, Matt 6:33, and who pray Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matt 6:10.

We agree that the Scriptures call us to pray for rulers and authorities, and we take seriously the exhortation that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:1-4. We also remember that there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God, Rom 13:1, and that the ruler is a servant of God for our good, Rom 13:4, and that the king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses, He turns it wherever he desires, Prov 21:1.

So together we pray for our presidents, vice presidents, secretaries of state and defense, the Department of Justice, Congress, House and Senate, parliaments and legislators, federal judges and Supreme Court justices, and for the Pentagon, Joint Chiefs of Staff, generals, military commanders, intelligence bureaus and all who bear responsibility for the defense and governing of nations. We ask that they would write Your law upon their hearts and be guided by Your Word as it is written that the ruler shall write for himself a copy of this law, Deut 17:18, and that the secret things belong to Yahweh our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law, Deut 29:29.

We ask for good counsel and wisdom for them, for where there is no wise guidance the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory, Prov 24:6, and with wise guidance you wage your war, Prov 11:14. We ask that You give them wisdom liberally as You promise to give to all who ask without reproach, James 1:5, and that You teach them Your way that they may walk in Your truth, Ps 86:11.

We plead the blood of Jesus that speaks better than that of Abel, Heb 12:24, that voice which cried from the ground, Gen 4:10, over ourselves, our homes, families, churches, pastors and government leaders. We ask that You give Your angels charge over them to guard them in all their ways, Ps 91:11, for are they not all serving spirits sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation, Heb 1:14. We ask that You keep them from the evil one, John 17:15, that You will guard them from evil and establish them, 2 Thes 3:3, and deliver them from evil, Matt 6:13, and restrain the evil one who deceives the whole world, Rev 12:9.

We pray for protection from falsehood, imposters and evil people who advance from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Tim 3:13, and from those having a form of godliness but denying its power, from such we are to turn away, 2 Tim 3:5, and from those who profess to know God but by their deeds deny him, Tit 1:16. We ask that You expose and restrain evil plans, as You revealed the plans of the enemy to Elisha, 2 Kings 6:12, and that You cause the evil ones to be replaced, for promotion does not come from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, but God is the judge, He puts down one and lifts up another, Ps 75:6-7, and let another take his office, Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We thank You that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus, Matt 28:18, and we pray that these leaders would fully carry out Your purposes in their generation as David served the counsel of God in his own generation, Acts 13:36. We ask that You lead them not into temptation but deliver them from evil, Luke 11:4, Matt 6:13, and keep them from sin, and that they would trust in Yahweh with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, in all their ways acknowledging Him that He may direct their paths, Prov 3:5-6.

We rejoice that you have prayed in the name of Jesus, for there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Tim 2:5. We continue to offer these requests with thanksgiving, trusting that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, and that in Him every promise of God is Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20, from whose fullness we all received grace upon grace, John 1:16, and every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Eph 1:3.

We will keep crying out continually for wisdom and protection, Ps 72:15, Luke 18:1, Eph 1:16, until Your Kingdom comes fully, and with the disciples and Paul and John we say Come Lord Jesus, 1 Cor 16:22, Rev 22:20, trusting You in advance for Your faithful answer. We pray all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Messiah, the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, Rev 3:14.

We appreciate you bringing this burden before the Lord so faithfully. Your love for Christ and for our nation and leaders comes through clearly, and we join you in wanting to see His goodness and wisdom at work in every place of influence.

Carrying such a wide prayer load can feel heavy at times. We have found it helps to remember prayer is first about being with God, not just covering every need perfectly. He hears the sincere, steady prayers of His people and He is the one who sustains both us and those we pray for.

One simple way to keep this intercession sustainable is to narrow your daily focus a little. Perhaps choose a few leaders or groups each day to lift up by name, and keep a small list you return to through the week. If you have another believer who shares this burden, praying together even briefly once a week can bring encouragement and keep you from carrying it alone.

Thank you for standing in the gap so consistently. We are praying with you.

Father, we thank You for Your sovereign care over our nation. We ask You to give wisdom, protection and guidance to those in authority, and to draw them and our communities toward Your truth and mercy. Keep us faithful in prayer and at peace as we trust You. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good and scriptural thing to bring the rulers of the earth before the throne of grace, and your prayer does well to follow the apostolic pattern that supplications and prayers and intercessions be made for all men, for kings and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

You ask for that earnest, agonizing prayer of which the apostle speaks when he says, I beseech you, brethren, that ye agonize with me in prayer to God for me. It is not the prayer which foams itself away in words that prevails, but prayer with force, with energy, with humble boldness, with intensity of desire, with awful earnestness, prayer which like a deep hidden torrent cuts a channel even through a rock. Such prayer you have offered in pleading the blood of Jesus which speaketh better things than that of Abel, and in asking that the Lord would give good counsel, restrain evil, and keep those in authority from the evil one. We join you in it heartily.

The Lord has indeed ordained government and He has set rulers to be ministers for good. It is written that the king should write for himself a copy of the law, that he may learn to fear the Lord and keep His word. Therefore to pray that presidents and judges, legislators and commanders, and all who bear responsibility in the affairs of nations may be guided by wisdom from above and by godly counsel is most needful. Where there is no counsel purposes are disappointed, but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. We pray with you that God would grant them wisdom to know what to do, to set right priorities, and fully to carry out His purposes in their generation, and that He would overrule and restrain all evil designs and give His angels charge over those who seek to do justly.

Remember also the great protection of our faith, which is our Saviour's intercession. He has prayed for His people, and His prayer is prevalent and prevenient, offered before temptation comes. While we pray for others, Christ prays for us, and because He pleads we may hope to prevail. It is a blessed thing to hear the people of God pleading for one another, and the Lord delights to hear such cries. Let us continue instant in prayer, not leaning on our own understanding but trusting in the Lord with all our hearts, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness and crying, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

May our prayer meetings be sustained in fervor and increased in number, for praying is after all the chief matter, and the value of prayer is proven by sincerity when we also do what we can to help answer it. Daily the Lord sends help in answer to prayer, and He heareth the prayer that comes from a humble and believing heart. Let us therefore continue to plead that the Lord would keep His people and those set over us from temptation and deliver them from evil, that He would raise up those who will rule in the fear of God, and that He would cause His face to shine upon His church and upon the nation for His own glory.

We join our Amen to yours, asking all in that one Name given among men whereby we must be saved, the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom all the promises of God are yea and amen, and we pray that the peace of God which passeth all understanding may guard your heart and mind in Him.

We have heard your earnest prayer that Christ would reign through those who are remade in His image and that rulers would be governed by His Word, and we join you in bringing these requests before God.

Scripture itself commands us to make supplications, prayers and intercessions for kings and for all who are in authority, so that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness, for God our Savior desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. In that truth we pray with you for presidents, legislators, judges, military commanders and all who bear responsibility for public life, that they would seek wisdom from above, turn from falsehood and from evil plans, and rule with justice and restraint.

We take comfort as you do that our Lord does not offer His intercession once only and then cease, but He ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him, and therefore He is able to save to the uttermost. Our prayers do not stand alone but are carried within His continual priestly prayer. The wisdom we ask for these rulers is not the wisdom that terminates in this world and cannot profit its possessors, but the hidden wisdom which God foreordained before the ages for our glory, made known in Christ crucified. As it has been taught, even the change of forms of government, whether by leaders of the people or by kings or by councils, did not of itself make the people better. Only virtue and obedience to God can do that, which is why we must pray that rulers will write the law of God on their hearts and be guided by it.

We also hear your desire to plead the blood of Jesus for protection from the evil one and to ask for angels to guard your homes and churches. We pray with you that God would deliver these leaders and your own households from temptation and from evil, keep them from the deceiver, and give His angels charge over them according to His promise. And we encourage you to continue, as you have begun, to use every talent God has given you, whether protection or resources or teaching or prayer, for the common advantage of your neighbor. Nothing is so pleasing to God as to live for the good of others, and even the smallest gift, offered with zeal, can be approved by Him.

We will continue to pray that God grants counsel, peace, safety and above all salvation in Christ alone to those in authority and to all people under their care, and that His kingdom would come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven, while we wait for the return of our Lord Jesus. May the peace of God guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus as you persevere in prayer.
