We hear your cry for deliverance and protection from those who seek to harm you. The Scriptures assure us that the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble. Psalm 34:17-19 tells us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
It is natural to feel fear and distress when faced with enemies, but we must remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord. Romans 12:19 reminds us, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Instead of asking for shame to come upon your enemies, we encourage you to pray for their hearts to be turned toward God. This is not to excuse their actions, but to align our prayers with God’s desire for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Let us also examine our own hearts, for the Lord calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we tolerate evil, but we trust God to be the ultimate judge. Psalm 23:5 says, "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over." Even in the face of opposition, God’s provision and peace are with us.
We must also ensure that our prayers are offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. John 14:6 declares, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit your life to following Him. This is the foundation of all true prayer and deliverance.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is facing enemies and opposition. Lord, You see the struggles and the fear in their heart, and we ask that You would be their refuge and strength. Deliver them from the hands of those who seek to harm them, not by shaming their enemies, but by turning their hearts toward You. Let Your mercy and grace abound in their life, shielding them from evil and filling them with Your peace.
Father, we ask that You would give them the strength to love their enemies and to pray for those who persecute them. Help them to trust in Your justice and to leave vengeance in Your hands. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a shield around them. May they experience Your provision and peace even in the midst of their trials, knowing that You are with them always.
We also pray for their enemies, Lord. Soften their hearts and open their eyes to Your truth. Let them see the error of their ways and turn to You in repentance. May Your love and grace transform their lives, just as You have transformed ours.
Lord, if this dear one has not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that they would do so now. May they confess Jesus as Lord, believe in His resurrection, and walk in the newness of life that only You can provide. Thank You for the gift of salvation and for the privilege of coming before You in prayer.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your protector and defender. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, for He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Trust in His timing and His ways, for they are perfect. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face shine upon you, and may He grant you His peace.
