We hear your cry for justice and protection, dear brother or sister in Christ. The pain of being attacked and maligned is deep, and we stand with you in seeking God’s intervention. The Scriptures assure us that the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). We declare with you that you are a child of God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy may devise schemes, but the Lord will turn them back on those who plot evil against His children.
However, we must also examine our hearts in moments like these. Jesus taught us to pray for our enemies and bless those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we ignore injustice or fail to seek God’s protection, but we must guard against bitterness or a desire for personal vengeance. The Lord says, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay" (Romans 12:19). Our prayer should be that God would intervene—not only to shield us but also to bring repentance and transformation to those who oppose us. Perhaps their eyes will be opened to the truth, and they will come to know the love of Christ.
Let us also remember that God’s goodness and mercy *will* follow you all the days of your life (Psalm 23:6), but this does not mean the path will be free of trials. Even in persecution, we are called to walk in faith, trusting that God’s purposes are being fulfilled. If you are facing slander or hatred, take comfort in the words of Peter: "If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you" (1 Peter 4:14).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as Your children, lifting up our brother/sister who is under attack. Lord, You see the contempt and hatred directed toward them, and we ask that You arise as their defender. Shield them from the schemes of the enemy and expose the lies spoken against them. Let Your truth prevail, and let those who seek to harm them be put to shame—not by our hands, but by Your righteous judgment.
Father, we pray for their enemies. Soften their hearts, Lord. If there is hardness or deception in them, break it by the power of Your Spirit. Turn their hatred into humility and their contempt into repentance. Let them see the light of Christ and be transformed by Your grace.
We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper. You are their strong tower, their refuge, and their deliverer. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May they walk in the confidence of Your love, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We also ask for Your blessings to overflow in their life. Let Your goodness and mercy follow them all their days, and may they experience Your favor in every area. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to forgive those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven us.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your glory be revealed. Amen.
