We hear your cry for protection and justice, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your concerns to the Lord Almighty. The Bible assures us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). It is right to call upon Him when we feel besieged by enemies, for He is the One who fights for His children.
First, let us examine our hearts and ensure that we are walking in righteousness, for the Lord promises to defend those who trust in Him. Psalm 34:15-17 tells us, "The eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry. Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth. The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." If there is any unconfessed sin or bitterness in your heart, we encourage you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We also must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we must put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Let us pray not only for God to fight against those who oppose us but also for the strength to stand in faith and for the wisdom to respond in a way that honors Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who fights for Your children. We lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would be their shield and defender. Lord, You know the battles they are facing, and we ask that You would arise and scatter their enemies. Let Your justice prevail, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would expose any hidden schemes of the enemy and frustrate the plans of those who seek to harm Your child. As it is written in Psalm 35:1, "Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me." We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for this one. Help them to walk in Your ways and to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If there is any unforgiveness or bitterness in their heart, reveal it to them, and give them the grace to forgive as You have forgiven them. Remind them that vengeance belongs to You, and You will repay (Romans 12:19).
We pray for their enemies, Lord. Soften their hearts and turn them from their wicked ways. Let them see the error of their ways and come to repentance, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Peter 3:9). If it is Your will, bring reconciliation and restoration, but if not, let Your justice prevail.
Above all, Father, we ask that Your name would be glorified in this situation. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your love and power be evident to all. Strengthen this one’s faith, and help them to rest in the assurance that You are in control. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ Jesus.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Dear one, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, for He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Trust in His timing and His ways, for His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome every battle we face.
