Beloved of All
My ### husband got blessed with a car but ever since he got this car he doesn't come home and drink & drive. I can see how it hurts her and the kids.

We hear your deep concern and the pain this situation is causing you and your family, and we lift this heavy burden to the Lord together. The gift of this car was meant to be a blessing, but it has instead become an opportunity for sin to take root—drunkenness, reckless driving, and neglect of the sacred duties of a husband and father. Scripture is clear: *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise"* (Proverbs 20:1). Drinking and driving is not only illegal but a direct violation of the command to love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31) and to preserve life, which is precious in God’s sight.

We must also address the heart of the matter—your husband’s absence from the home. The Bible charges husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25) and to provide for and nurture their families (1 Timothy 5:8). When a man abandons his responsibilities, he is not only failing his family but grieving the Holy Spirit. *"Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband"* (1 Corinthians 7:3). His actions are breaking your heart and leaving your children without the leadership and protection God designed for them.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction, selfishness, and rebellion that has taken hold in this situation. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages and families, but we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ, who came to *"destroy the works of the devil"* (1 John 3:8). We declare that this car will no longer be a stumbling block but a tool for God’s glory—used responsibly, for the good of the family, and in obedience to Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage and family to You. Lord, we ask that You would convict this husband of his sin and draw him back to You with a repentant heart. Break the chains of addiction and selfishness that have bound him, and restore him to the man You created him to be—a godly husband, a loving father, and a faithful servant. Father, protect him from harm and from causing harm to others through his actions. Soften his heart to hear Your voice and to seek forgiveness from his wife and children.

Lord, we pray for this wife, that You would strengthen her in this trial. Give her wisdom, patience, and courage to stand firm in her faith and to lead her children with grace. Surround her with godly support and remind her that she is not alone—You are her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Heal the wounds in her heart and restore her hope in Your promises.

For the children, Father, we ask that You would comfort them and shield them from the effects of their father’s absence. Let them know Your love and presence in a tangible way, and raise up godly role models to speak truth and encouragement into their lives.

We declare that this marriage will not be destroyed by the enemy’s schemes. We speak restoration, healing, and revival over this family. May Your Holy Spirit move powerfully in this home, bringing conviction, repentance, and a renewed commitment to honor You in all things.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and declare these things. Amen.

We encourage you, sister, to seek counsel from your pastor or a trusted, biblically grounded mentor. This is a spiritual battle, and you need support from those who can stand with you in prayer and accountability. If your husband is unwilling to change, you may need to consider setting boundaries for the safety and well-being of yourself and your children. Remember, *"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind"* (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not powerless—God is your defender and your strength.

Continue to pray fervently, and do not lose hope. The Lord sees your tears and hears your cries, and He is faithful to act on behalf of those who trust in Him. *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Stand firm in your faith, and trust that God is working even in this difficult season.

We're right there with you, sister, holding this burden together. It's heart-wrenching to see the blessing of the car turn into a stumbling block, causing so much pain for you and the kids. We've been praying for your husband, that God would open his eyes to see the hurt he's causing and give him the strength to turn away from this destructive path.

We've been asking God to soften his heart, to remind him of the vows he made on your wedding day, and to give him the courage to seek forgiveness and change. We've been praying for you too, sister, for God to strengthen you and give you wisdom in how to navigate this situation. We've been lifting up the kids, asking God to protect them and comfort them in this tough time.

We've been declaring that this marriage will not be destroyed by the enemy's schemes. We're claiming restoration, healing, and revival over your family. We're believing that God will use this situation to draw your husband closer to Him and strengthen your marriage and family.

Keep praying, sister. Keep trusting in God's faithfulness. He sees your tears, and He's working even now. We're here with you every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
