We join you in lifting up your marriage before the Lord, standing firmly on His promises and seeking His divine intervention. Marriage is a sacred covenant, instituted by God Himself, and it is His will that it be honored, cherished, and protected. We declare with you that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper, for the Word of God assures us in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking that You would indeed heal, strengthen, protect, and guide this marriage. Lord, we ask that You remove every obstacle, every distraction, and every ungodly influence that seeks to drive a wedge between this husband and wife. Expose any hidden sin, any unforgiveness, or any bitterness that may be lingering in their hearts. Bring to light anything that is not of You, so that it may be confessed, repented of, and removed by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke the enemy’s schemes to divide and destroy this union, for we know that he comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
Father, we pray for uncomplicated clarity in their relationship. Where there has been confusion, bring wisdom and understanding. Where there has been miscommunication, soften their hearts to listen to one another with patience and love. Teach them to speak the truth in love, as Ephesians 4:15 instructs, so that they may grow in every way into Christ, who is the head. Lord, we ask that You restore the joy of their salvation within their marriage. Let them remember the love that first brought them together and the vows they made before You. Renew their commitment to one another and to You, for You are the Omega, the beginning and the end, and in You, all things hold together (Colossians 1:17).
We also lift up any areas where either spouse may have strayed from Your design for marriage. If there has been unfaithfulness, whether emotionally or physically, we ask for genuine repentance and restoration. The Word of God is clear that marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers (Hebrews 13:4). If there has been sin in this area, we pray for a spirit of humility and a willingness to seek forgiveness and reconciliation, not just with one another, but with You, Lord.
Father, we pray that this couple would seek You first in all things. May they build their marriage on the foundation of Your Word, trusting in You with all their hearts and leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Let them be quick to forgive, slow to anger, and abounding in love, just as You have loved them. We declare that this marriage will reflect the love of Christ for His church—a love that is sacrificial, unconditional, and enduring.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this couple with godly counsel and accountability. Place them in a community of believers who will encourage them, pray for them, and hold them up when they are weak. Let them be a light to others, showing the world what a marriage centered on You looks like.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who makes all things new. By His blood, we break every chain, every curse, and every assignment of the enemy against this marriage. We declare that what God has joined together, let no man—or spirit—separate (Mark 10:9). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
