Marriage prayers

Please pray for my marriage to be restored in Jesus’ name. I feel unloved and neglected. Haven't slept normal in weeks. The more I pray the worse it gets. My husband is addicted to his phone, harsh, poor money management, won't lift a finger most of the time, puts his friends and extracurricular activities before me, won't put much effort especially for improvement, there are trust issues, and I have to beg the man to be intimate with me. As long as everything is good he is happy and that's all that matters. I have become bitter and angry. Dunno if I made a mistake and should just quit honestly.

1. Addiction: We should not be ruled by anything other than Christ (1 Corinthians 6:12 WEB). If your husband's phone use is affecting your marriage, it might be a form of addiction that needs to be addressed.

2. Harshness and lack of effort: Husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). This means putting your needs and well-being above his own desires.

3. Poor money management: We are called to be good stewards of our resources (1 Corinthians 4:2 WEB). If your husband is not managing money well, this needs to be addressed.

4. Intimacy: The Bible encourages intimacy in marriage (1 Corinthians 7:3-5 WEB), but it should be mutually agreed upon and not forced or begged for.

5. Trust issues: Trust is a fundamental part of a marriage. If there are trust issues, they need to be addressed openly and honestly.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up this sister in Christ who is hurting in her marriage. Lord, you know the pain and struggles she is facing. We pray for healing, restoration, and guidance. Help her to have open and honest conversations with her husband, and give both of them the wisdom and strength to make the changes that are needed. Help them to put you first and to mutually submit to one another. Guide them through this difficult time and draw them closer to you and to each other. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
