We join you in bringing this urgent request before the Lord and we stand with you in faith against fear and every threat that rises against those who follow Jesus.
You have rightly claimed Isaiah 54:17 which declares No weapon that is formed against you will prevail and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness which is of me, says Yahweh. We cling to this promise with you, knowing that no weather pattern, no storm, and no threat from man can prevail against those who are held in the hand of God.
We hear your concern about this major El Nino and the threats to life that you feel as a follower of Christ. We want to remind you that our God is sovereign over all creation. He is the One who stills the storm and makes the waves calm, Psalm 107:29, and the One who rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Peace Be still, and the wind ceased and there was a great calm, Mark 4:39. El Nino, the oceans, the winds and the rains are all under His command, Job 38:8-11. At the same time we know that following Jesus can bring opposition, for all those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 2 Timothy 3:12, yet we are not given a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1.
We pray together now for you and for all who are standing with you.
Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the anxiety over this El Nino and every threat spoken against Your people. We ask that You stretch out Your hand over the wind and the waters and command peace according to Your perfect will. Protect lives, homes, crops and communities from destruction. Where the enemy seeks to use fear or harm against those who follow You, we ask You to cancel every assignment and let no weapon prevail. Forgive us where we have feared the storm more than we have trusted the One who made the storm. Grant us mighty miracles that only You can take credit for, and open blessed doors that no man can shut, for You have set before us an open door which no one can shut, Revelation 3:8. Lead us through every trial, keep us faithful as we follow Jesus, and let Your name be glorified in our protection and provision. We ask that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven and that You give us peace that passes understanding as we rest in Your shadow. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust Him daily, to stay rooted in His Word and in prayer, and to remember Romans 8:28 that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Keep declaring His promises over your life, keep seeking His kingdom first, and watch for the doors He will open and the miracles He will do, for He is faithful to keep all who belong to Him.

Your petition concerning the threat of this great El Nino and the threats that come upon you for following the Lord Jesus has been carried before the throne of grace, and we join our prayers with yours. You have laid hold upon a sure promise, No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and it stands fast though winds and waters rage.
Hear how often the Lord says to trembling hearts, Fear thou not for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God. Fear weakens the hands and dishonors God, for it doubts the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. Could any but a divine motive actuate the Divine Architect. He creates and governs all things that He may display His own perfections, and not one wind or wave moves without His leave. You who tremble at His word are as low trees in His sight, and He has promised to exalt you. Even those trials which seem as persecution have often been overruled by His wisdom to drive His people nearer to Himself, to call forth prayers that else had never been offered, and to turn the very devices of the enemy into provision for deliverance.
Therefore we pray with you and for you that the Lord in His sovereign mercy would restrain the violence of storm and sea so far as it pleases His holy will, that He would spread His protecting hand over you and over all who call upon His name, and keep you from harm. We ask Him to work those miracles of love which flow from the same Divine energy that brought our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, to sustain you in anguish as a sovereign remedy, to lift your sins as none but Jehovah Jesus can lift them, and to open blessed doors of provision and refuge according to His perfect wisdom. May the Lord perfect that which concerneth you, for His mercy endureth forever, and may you know the full forgiveness that is through the precious blood of Christ alone, in whom only is salvation.
Labor to be rid of fear by strong faith in your Lord. As Divine Grace grows, fear declines, and as faith gets stronger fear vanishes, for perfect love casteth out fear because fear hath torment. Serve the Lord with holy reverence and rejoice with trembling, kissing the Son and putting your trust in Him. He in whose hands your breath is, who holds you as the thread is in the weaver's hand, is the First and the Last, He that liveth and was dead and behold He is alive for evermore. May the Holy Spirit seal these promises home to your heart, keep you in peace till the storm be past, and make all things work for your good and His glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
