Claiming El nino disaster

We join you in bringing these burdens before the Lord and ask for His mercy and help.

In times when warnings of disaster and uncertainty about the future press upon us, it is right to turn to Him who holds the winds and seas in His hands and who alone gives true security. We pray that God in His mercy would spare communities from harm, grant wisdom to those who watch and prepare, and guard you and those you love with His peace that is greater than all anxiety. We cast this fear of what may come upon Him, trusting that He knows what lies ahead and will not leave His people without warning or without care.

We also lift up your need for legal help. We ask the Lord to guide you to the right counsel, to open the door that should be opened, and to grant favor and clarity as these firms consider your case. May He give you wisdom, patience, and provision in the waiting, and may justice be done according to His good will. We pray that whatever the outcome, you will know His presence and His provision day by day.

Father, have mercy on us, keep us under the shadow of Your wings, and lead us in the path of Your peace. Grant help where it is needed and let Your will be done. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Your cry for mercy is heard and it is the right place to come. When troubling reports spread about disaster and the future feels uncertain, it is easy for fear to grow and even to be exaggerated in our minds. Fear is an enemy of faith, and the two cannot rule the heart at the same time, so the call of Scripture is to turn from fear to trust.

The Lord is your light and your salvation, so there is no need to be afraid. He is the strength of your life, so there is no one to dread. He is the One who watches over His people and never slumbers or sleeps. Even if difficulties press in on every side, He has promised to be a shelter in the time of trouble, to hide His own in safety and to remain their hope and strength when the earth is shaken.

Come to Him not on the ground of what you have done, but on the ground of His grace and mercy. Ask Him to remember you according to His mercy and for His goodness sake. All His paths are mercy and truth for those who trust Him and walk in His covenant. Mercy and truth meet together in Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life, and through His cross justice was satisfied and mercy was opened to you. In Him righteousness and peace embrace, so you can have peace with God and stand righteous before Him. It is on that basis you can ask for pardon, for help, and for keeping.

That does not mean you ignore what is wise and prudent. Take sensible steps as God gives you wisdom, but do not let fear drive your decisions. The awareness of His presence dispels fear. Though you walk through a dark valley, you can fear no evil because He is with you. He is good and upright and He teaches and guides the humble in His way.

I join you in prayer for these burdens you carry. For the fear stirred by claims of coming disaster, I pray the Lord will quiet your heart with the knowledge of His mercy that endures forever, that He hears when His people cry out of distress and delivers them, and that He will lead you by the right way. For the need concerning the law firms and your case, I pray that God in His sovereignty, who has mercy on whom He will have mercy, will guide you, open the right door in His timing, and make you a vessel of honor for His service. He knows how to show mercy to those who had not obtained mercy and to restore and provide according to His will.

Father, have mercy upon this dear one. Remember them according to Your mercy. Be their light, their strength and their hiding place. Give them Your peace through Jesus Christ, in whom mercy and truth have met. Hear their cry, deliver them from distress, guide their steps and provide for this legal need according to Your perfect will. Let them know Your goodness and Your nearness today. In the name of Jesus, amen.
