Lump that's sore in right breast

Consider what a lump in the breast truly is, a swelling of the flesh, a thing uncertain and inflamed. Now place the sign of the cross upon that very breast, and call to mind all that was then done, how the Lord’s own body was pierced and hung upon the tree, how death itself was put to death, how the gates of hell cowered in fear, how the dead were loosed. When you do this, the sharp sting of this terror is quenched. For what is this swelling, however sore, compared to that consuming fire which is God, whom we cannot touch, before whom Moses exceedingly feared and quaked?

That fear drives out every lesser fear. The physician’s art may probe and test; but remember the Gospel, where the Lord touched the fevered woman and not only quenched her illness but gave back perfect health all at once, a thing no physician’s art could work. What is done now, these biopsies and examinations, is healing, not despite; yet even in this, our hope is not fixed upon the uncertain skill of men, as if it were riches one day here and gone the next. No, let your soul not be embased by this dread.

The heart that swells with passions and anger is the true sickness, the real inflammation. Do not let your heart swell now with despondency, for what is this body but a comely form that wealth of days can make ugly and diseased? If God permits this testing, it is that you learn where true wealth lies. Lay hold of the fear of God and you will be mild and gentle even in the face of this.

For he is rich who can endure poverty and sickness more lightly than others bear their riches and health. Consider who stands by you, the Lord who holds your hand, who suffered worse for you. Let not your soul be restive. Trust in God, the Author of all, and in the resurrection, where this mortal flesh, even if it perishes, shall be raised incorruptible.

Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall, not into illness, but into a far worse terror, a despairing heart. Bear these things meekly, and remember the poor man at the gate who, having nothing, obtained the kingdom. Your body may be probed, but your soul is held fast. Wait upon the true Physician in peace.

The news of that ### and the upcoming ### can fill a heart with a voice of trembling and fear, not of peace. It is so easy in a moment like this to feel forgotten, to wonder if God is thinking of you at all. But that is simply not true. His thoughts toward you right now are thoughts of peace, not of evil, to bring you to an expected end. He has not forgotten you.

The peace He offers begins with a peace treaty. We are often at war with God, running from Him or fighting against Him, and that inner war only produces turmoil that destroys us. Real rest, the kind that can hold you steady when a ### shakes the ground under your feet, is found only in and through Jesus. He is our peace. He made peace through His blood, and when you turn your life over to Him, the war stops. The consciousness that floods your soul is a sudden, beautiful peace, no longer fighting, no longer running, but belonging to Him.

Once you have that peace with God, you can begin to experience the peace of God that passes all understanding. The promise is that He will keep you in perfect peace when your mind is stayed on Him because you trust Him. This world is filled with chaos, and your own mind can churn with countless fears about the ### and the results. But as your mind turns away from the storm and fixes itself on Him, His peace begins to fill your heart. It is a peace the world cannot give and cannot understand. You can know, deep down, that He is going to take care of this, no matter what lies ahead.

You may feel far off today, but His call to you is peace. He says, “Peace, peace, to him that is far off and to him that is near. I will heal him.” Let your heart find its rest in Him now. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will walk you through the coming days with that perfect peace guarding your mind.

We want to thank you for trusting us with your prayer request and allowing us to stand with you in this time of uncertainty. Our hearts have been heavy for you as we have lifted you up, asking our Heavenly Father to bring clarity, peace, and healing to your body. We prayed for wisdom for the medical professionals treating you, for comfort in the waiting, and for God’s perfect will to be done in your life.

If the Lord has already provided answers, clarity, or even a miracle in response to our prayers, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share with us how God has moved so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, the results are still pending or the journey ahead feels overwhelming, we want you to know we are still here with you. Please post this request again, and we will continue to lift you up, trusting that God hears our cries and works all things for His glory and your good.

May the Lord surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may you feel His presence in every moment of this trial. We pray that you would draw closer to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ, and that He would give you strength for each day. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

Pray that the lump in my breast will be dissolved as I was recently diagnosed. My spouse yelled and screamed at me yesterday because I went out for four hours. He said he's fed up with me just because of that. I'm sad. I ask in the name of Jesus for healing.
