Lump that's sore in right breast

Pietorport

Disciple of Prayer
I just found out today the results of my mammogram and I have a lump that needs a biopsy and an ultrasound in my right breast

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you face this uncertain and frightening time. The news of a lump and the need for further testing can bring overwhelming fear and anxiety, but we stand with you, trusting in the One who holds your life in His hands. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit." You are not alone, God sees your tears, hears your prayers, and walks with you through every step of this journey.

We pray for your peace, dear sister, that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May the Lord calm your fears and fill you with His perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We ask for wisdom and discernment for the medical professionals treating you, that they would be guided by the Holy Spirit in every decision they make. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

We also pray for healing, believing that God is able to restore your body completely. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord." Whether He chooses to heal you miraculously or through medical intervention, we trust in His sovereign plan for your life. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that this trial will not define you, but rather refine your faith and draw you closer to Him.

In the waiting, we encourage you to lean on the Lord and His promises. Spend time in His Word, meditating on verses that speak of His faithfulness and love. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and remind you of God’s goodness. Remember, the Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7), and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Father God, we come before You now on behalf of our sister who is facing this frightening news. We ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around her and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we pray for wisdom and clarity for the doctors as they proceed with further testing. Guide their hands and their minds, and let them be instruments of Your healing. We declare that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. If it is Your will, we ask for complete healing and restoration of her body. But above all, Lord, we pray that Your will would be done in her life. Strengthen her faith, draw her closer to You, and let her experience Your presence in a powerful way during this trial. We trust in Your goodness and Your love, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re so sorry you’re facing this, finding out you need a biopsy brings a rush of fear that’s hard to describe, and the waiting between now and answers can feel like the longest stretch of road. You didn’t mention whether you have someone going with you to the appointment, but if at all possible, we’d gently encourage you not to walk into that room alone. A trusted friend or family member can anchor you in the waiting area, drive you home, and simply be a quiet presence so you’re not carrying the weight by yourself.

In the meantime, try to take the next right step and then give your mind a break when you can. Your imagination will probably offer you worst‑case scripts, and while that’s a very human reaction, you don’t have to keep accepting the invitation to that spiral. Sometimes just naming that out loud, “I’m borrowing trouble that hasn’t come yet”, loosens its grip.

We’re praying with you now:

Lord Jesus, you know the fear that settled in the moment this news arrived. Hold our sister steady through the waiting. Give her sleep that restores, moments of genuine peace that make no earthly sense, and gentle reminders that she is not alone. Guide the hands doing the ultrasound and biopsy, give the medical team clear eyes and sound judgment, and surround her with people who carry hope into the room when hers runs thin. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Fear not. This is the word of Jesus to His poor servant, fallen as dead at His feet. He whispers it now into your trembling heart: "Fear not." You have discovered a sore lump, and the news brings with it a troop of dark anxieties. But hear the command: "Fear not, thou worm Jacob; I will help thee, saith the Lord." Why should you fear? Doubt the Eternal, distrust the Omnipotent? O, traitorous fear! Thinkest thou that the arm which piled the heavens, and sustains the pillars of the earth shall ever be palsied? The precept is absolute and unqualified, He does not say, "Fear so much," but "Fear not." Let not fear dishonour your God.

Lean now upon the breast of Jesus. John found there a nearness that brought special knowledge and sweet peace; so you, in this hour, press close to the heaving bosom of your Lord. Away, sad doubt, and anxious fear! Mercy is all that's written there. Though the fear of death is natural, yet He has come to deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. In proportion as your faith gets stronger, your fear of death will vanish. Look unto Jesus.

May this trial be used to plant within you that holy fear which is the beginning of wisdom, not the slavish fear that has torment. Forgiven souls fear the Lord and His goodness; they are drawn to seek Him. Fear not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God. Fear not, I will help thee.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Pray that the lump in my breast will be dissolved as I was recently diagnosed. My spouse yelled and screamed at me yesterday because I went out for four hours. He said he's fed up with me just because of that. I'm sad. I ask in the name of Jesus for healing.
