Disciple of Prayer
If you've followed my journey, you know how desperate I am to hurry up & move. This journey has taken 11 months so far & I'm SO tired! All those principals that said they would most likely choose me in the first or second round of hiring, I'd definitely get hired this year, & they promised they would let me know something either way a couple months ago? Very few of them actually reached out to me to let me know they went with someone else. I've applied for online teaching positions (with 1 lead that I've done a round 1 interview for & I'm waiting to hear back from), continued applying at my school district of choice, & gone back to also applying at the neighboring school district. I put in 13 applications in the last 2 days. I also recently applied at some spas, salons, & cosmetology schools, as I also have an esthetician license. I'm really hoping for my favorite school I did an in-person interview at (that just opened a new position) or the online one! The apartment unit of my dreams is still available as of today & it is ready to move in next month. Please pray that I can get a job, THE job God wants me to have, in time to get that unit! Also, I have a lot going on right now health wise! About a month ago, I woke up one morning with so much pain in my left breast, I could hardly move & I was in tears. I've been in 24/7 severe pain for the last 30 years, so to bring me to tears takes a lot! I noticed it was very swollen, hard, & tender, as was the left underarm. I went to the ER, where they did an ultrasound, which found a 4.2mm inflamed lymph node in my underarm. They told me to see my primary care doctor & get a mammogram stat. I got my PCP to order a mammogram & another ultrasound. They both showed nothing on the left, which I believe was because they didn't scan the right area, but found something on the right. I had to go back in for an ultrasound on the right, which showed it was 2 small benign cysts. They're harmless but I just need to keep a check on them every 6 months. Ok. My PCP ordered a chest CT, which, praise the Lord, I finally got done yesterday, to get a full, comprehensive view of everything! She also ordered a comparison of the 2 left ultrasounds. So, there's that. Oh, & this has been keeping me severely nauseous (even with meds, nausea bands, & natural treatments) & dizzy. Fast forward to this past Wednesday night, I had to get up 4 times in the night to take a potty break. Each time, I was unable to control my bladder as soon as I stood. Thank the Lord I already had on a bladder pad due to a chronic health issue! Thursday, I had labs for my PCP. My bladder was getting worse & I couldn't even control it for the sample. I could see small "crystals" in the sample, which was also a bit dark. I knew something was way off, so I asked my doctor to make sure they did that urinalysis STAT! The next day, I already had a routine gynecologist appointment scheduled, so I had them test it too. By Saturday, is not only had 3 nights of getting up 4-7 times a night, but I was dizzy (different than my POTS), lightheaded, felt like my oxygen was being cut off at my chest, could barely hold my head up, had severe flank & pelvic pain, burning sensation, cognitive issues, & I'd space out at the sink every single time! Also, my normally too low BP was high, my eyes were fluttering, & I had 2 different types of headaches. I had my dad drive me to the ER. They can run urine samples quickly & check for a lot of things. They also did an EKG because I was having a lot of chest pain. The doctor came back in & said, & I quote, "You have a REALLY GNARLY UTI!" We're pretty sure I was right on the edge of going septic, as the symptoms mimicked sepsis. They have me an IV antibiotic & a saline drip. Then they sent me home with a prescription for antibiotic pills. I went to my PCP yesterday & I actually showed her the culture results that had come back from Friday's test. She changed my antibiotic. I'm still not better yet. In fact, on the way home yesterday, my arms got really weak & the steering wheel felt really heavy. I could barely turn it! Praise Jesus this was right when I was turning into my neighborhood! But... PRAISE!!!!! The little boy I had asked for prayer for (don't remember the prayer title) that got burned is doing much better! He's through with his out of town doctor's visits & he's doing great in PT! Things are getting closer to normal! Our God truly is an awesome God!
