A Lot Going On

Disciple of Prayer
If you've followed my journey, you know how desperate I am to hurry up & move. This journey has taken 11 months so far & I'm SO tired! All those principals that said they would most likely choose me in the first or second round of hiring, I'd definitely get hired this year, & they promised they would let me know something either way a couple months ago? Very few of them actually reached out to me to let me know they went with someone else. I've applied for online teaching positions (with 1 lead that I've done a round 1 interview for & I'm waiting to hear back from), continued applying at my school district of choice, & gone back to also applying at the neighboring school district. I put in 13 applications in the last 2 days. I also recently applied at some spas, salons, & cosmetology schools, as I also have an esthetician license. I'm really hoping for my favorite school I did an in-person interview at (that just opened a new position) or the online one! The apartment unit of my dreams is still available as of today & it is ready to move in next month. Please pray that I can get a job, THE job God wants me to have, in time to get that unit! Also, I have a lot going on right now health wise! About a month ago, I woke up one morning with so much pain in my left breast, I could hardly move & I was in tears. I've been in 24/7 severe pain for the last 30 years, so to bring me to tears takes a lot! I noticed it was very swollen, hard, & tender, as was the left underarm. I went to the ER, where they did an ultrasound, which found a 4.2mm inflamed lymph node in my underarm. They told me to see my primary care doctor & get a mammogram stat. I got my PCP to order a mammogram & another ultrasound. They both showed nothing on the left, which I believe was because they didn't scan the right area, but found something on the right. I had to go back in for an ultrasound on the right, which showed it was 2 small benign cysts. They're harmless but I just need to keep a check on them every 6 months. Ok. My PCP ordered a chest CT, which, praise the Lord, I finally got done yesterday, to get a full, comprehensive view of everything! She also ordered a comparison of the 2 left ultrasounds. So, there's that. Oh, & this has been keeping me severely nauseous (even with meds, nausea bands, & natural treatments) & dizzy. Fast forward to this past Wednesday night, I had to get up 4 times in the night to take a potty break. Each time, I was unable to control my bladder as soon as I stood. Thank the Lord I already had on a bladder pad due to a chronic health issue! Thursday, I had labs for my PCP. My bladder was getting worse & I couldn't even control it for the sample. I could see small "crystals" in the sample, which was also a bit dark. I knew something was way off, so I asked my doctor to make sure they did that urinalysis STAT! The next day, I already had a routine gynecologist appointment scheduled, so I had them test it too. By Saturday, is not only had 3 nights of getting up 4-7 times a night, but I was dizzy (different than my POTS), lightheaded, felt like my oxygen was being cut off at my chest, could barely hold my head up, had severe flank & pelvic pain, burning sensation, cognitive issues, & I'd space out at the sink every single time! Also, my normally too low BP was high, my eyes were fluttering, & I had 2 different types of headaches. I had my dad drive me to the ER. They can run urine samples quickly & check for a lot of things. They also did an EKG because I was having a lot of chest pain. The doctor came back in & said, & I quote, "You have a REALLY GNARLY UTI!" We're pretty sure I was right on the edge of going septic, as the symptoms mimicked sepsis. They have me an IV antibiotic & a saline drip. Then they sent me home with a prescription for antibiotic pills. I went to my PCP yesterday & I actually showed her the culture results that had come back from Friday's test. She changed my antibiotic. I'm still not better yet. In fact, on the way home yesterday, my arms got really weak & the steering wheel felt really heavy. I could barely turn it! Praise Jesus this was right when I was turning into my neighborhood! But... PRAISE!!!!! The little boy I had asked for prayer for (don't remember the prayer title) that got burned is doing much better! He's through with his out of town doctor's visits & he's doing great in PT! Things are getting closer to normal! Our God truly is an awesome God!

We hear your weariness, your frustration, and your pain, both physically and emotionally. The weight of waiting, the uncertainty of job prospects, and the toll of illness can feel overwhelming, but we stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord sees every detail of your struggle and holds your future in His hands.

First, we lift up your job search to the Lord. You have shown diligence and perseverance, applying to many positions and exploring different avenues. We pray that the Lord would open the door to the job He has prepared for you, the one that aligns with His purpose and provides for your needs. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We ask that He would make your path clear, remove any obstacles, and grant you favor with those making decisions. May the apartment you desire be secured in His perfect timing, and may this transition bring you peace and stability.

We also intercede for your health, which has been under such heavy attack. The pain, the infections, and the exhaustion are not from the Lord, and we rebuke every spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name. We declare healing over your body, trusting in Isaiah 53:5, "By his stripes we are healed." The Lord is your Great Physician, and we pray that the antibiotics would work swiftly, that your strength would return, and that the nausea, dizziness, and weakness would subside. We ask for wisdom for your doctors and clarity in your test results, especially regarding the CT scan and the comparison of ultrasounds. May the Lord guide every step of your medical care and bring full restoration to your body.

We also want to encourage you with the truth of God’s faithfulness. Even when answers seem delayed, He is working. Psalm 30:5 says, "Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning." Your breakthrough is coming. The enemy may try to discourage you with silence from employers or lingering symptoms, but we declare that God is turning every setback into a setup for His glory.

Lastly, we rejoice with you over the answered prayer for the little boy who was burned. What a testimony to God’s healing power! This is a reminder that even in your own struggles, the Lord is moving on behalf of His children.

Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting up every burden, her job search, her health, her housing, and her weary heart. We ask that You would strengthen her faith, renew her hope, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Open the right doors, heal her body, and let her see Your hand at work in every area of her life. We trust You to complete the good work You’ve begun in her, and we declare that she will see Your promises fulfilled. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’ve been holding you close in prayer since we first read your heart cry and now again after this latest reply. Job searches can feel so defeating when the silence from employers lingers, yet we’re cheering you on, God is not slow to fulfill His promises. Keep applying, keep trusting, and keep resting in Him.

The recent health rollercoaster has been brutal, pain, infections, and that awful cycle of nighttime bathroom struggles. Praise God for the ER intervention and for the doctors stepping in quickly. We're trusting that the antibiotics will fully kick in soon and that your strength will return. The heaviness in your arms yesterday could be just another hill to climb, but Jesus is your strength every step of the way.

Father, we come alongside our sister, asking for Your peace to blanket her weary heart. Open the right door for the job she’s been praying for and secure that apartment in Your perfect timing. Heal her body completely, take away the nausea, dizziness, and weakness, and restore her energy. Remind her every morning that joy comes with the dawn, and that You are working even when we can’t see it yet. Strengthen her faith, renew her hope, and let her feel Your presence in every struggle. In Jesus' name we pray.
