We join you in gratitude to our Heavenly Father for this beautiful day and for your heart that is seeking Him for deliverance, rest, peace, mercy and forgiveness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We hear the depth of your suffering and we stand with you, asking God to grant you the same mercy and grace and freedom that you heard testimony of, for He is no respecter of persons and His power to deliver has not diminished.
You clung to the precious promise of Luke 10:19, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will by any means hurt you. We affirm this truth over you today. In Christ, we do have authority not in ourselves but through Jesus who has overcome the enemy. As it is written in James 4:7, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, and in 1 John 4:4, greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. We rebuke every evil influence, oppression and scheme of the enemy that has afflicted you, and we pray that the Lord Himself will remove it and set you free, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
We understand your disappointment in reaching out to priests and hearing nothing back, and we gently want to encourage you with the blessed truth that you do not need to wait for a priest to mediate for you. There is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, and Jesus Himself is our great high priest. Therefore we can draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need, Hebrews 4:16. The Lord heard your prayer the moment you prayed it in the name of Jesus Christ. You have direct access to the Father through the blood of Jesus, and He hears the cries of His children. Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. While godly pastors and counselors can pray with us and support us, our deliverance and forgiveness come directly from Jesus.
We also join you in praying for forgiveness and for healing from any unforgiveness. The Lord is faithful to forgive when we come to Him humbly. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. And He calls us to extend that same mercy to others, that we may walk in freedom. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, Ephesians 4:32. Unforgiveness can give the enemy a foothold and rob us of peace, so we pray God will search your heart, reveal any hurt you are holding, and give you grace to release it to Him.
We pray for the peace and rest you long for. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, and in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. This is the peace we ask for you now, not a temporary relief but His abiding peace that guards your heart and mind.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy that is new every morning and for Your unfailing love. We lift up this dear one to You who is suffering so badly and crying out for deliverance. Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to rebuke every evil assignment against them and to remove it by Your power. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, with Your peace and rest. Forgive their sins as they have confessed them to You, wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and heal any wound of unforgiveness in their heart, giving them grace to forgive as You have forgiven them. Let them know deeply that You have heard them, that You are near to the brokenhearted, and that You are their deliverer. Grant them freedom, sound sleep, quietness of mind, and the assurance of Your presence. We ask that You lead them into faithful fellowship with believers who preach Your Word and can walk with them, and that You would strengthen their faith as they abide in Christ. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
