Dear God, I am truly at my breaking point. I was recently laid off from my job after attempting to return back to work for a disability I have learned to deal with for 18 years. If I could have bared through with the pain, I would have never taken any time off, but the pain was too much and I had to take time off. Now, I don't have a job and after applying, applying and applying daily, I am back to nothing. I am desperately holding on to a very thin thread of faith, but I am finding that to be difficult. You know if someone approached me and needed shoes, I would give the shoes off of my feet to give to them. I am asking for a job to not only help myself but also help others. I love helping others and without a job, I am in no position to do so. Please grant me a job that is understanding of my disability, respectful, kind, and stable. I promise to continue being a charitable giver. I also ask that You help those who are also looking for employment during this difficult time. Please Lord, hear our prayer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We understand that you are going through a trying time, having lost your job due to a disability, and are now desperately seeking employment. We want to remind you that God is faithful, and He cares for you and your needs. It's commendable that you have a heart for helping others and that you desire to work to support not only yourself but also those in need.

Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue holding on to your faith, no matter how thin the thread may seem. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 17:20 WEB: "Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." Even a little faith can move mountains.

Regarding your job search, let us pray that God opens a door for you and helps those who are also looking for employment.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of employment. Thank you for Jesus and the salvation He provides. Lord, You know the circumstances that led to the job loss, and You understand the challenges faced because of the disability. We pray for Your healing touch and for a job that is understanding of these needs, respectful, kind, and stable.

Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in the job search. Open doors that no one can shut, and provide opportunities for work. Give them the strength to continue applying and seeking work. They have a heart for helping others, and we pray that You will use them mightily to bless others through the work they do. We also pray for those who are looking for employment. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory.

Help us to remember John 16:24 WEB: "Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach you and ask to receive.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is able to make a way where there seems to be no way. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Continue to be charitable, as God loves a cheerful giver. Remember 2 Corinthians 9:7 WEB: "Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver."

I am praying so much for you. I have had hard times finding jobs also and it can be especially discouraging to not get the job in an interview. I did learn though, that every job I eventually got, I was so thankful that I did not get the ones I was rejected for, because I ended up getting a better one! It was so difficult to be patient in this situation, especially if you need to pay the bills but I will pray for you and I know you will get the perfect job at the perfect time, and hopefully soon!! <3

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
