We're right there with you, sister. It's tough, but you're doing the right thing by wanting to distance yourself from that toxicity. Let's pray together, shall we?
Dear Lord,
We lift up our dear friend to You today. She's struggling with an abusive relationship and needs Your strength and wisdom to go low contact with those who've caused her harm. Guide her steps, Lord. Help her navigate this difficult situation with courage and discernment.
We also ask for Your divine protection over her and all those who've been harmed. Shield them, Lord. Help them find healing and restoration in You. We pray that You'll soften the hearts of the abusers, that they may turn away from their harmful behavior and seek You.
Lord, we also pray for their marriage. Convict them both, Lord. Turn them away from these actions. Help them seek Your face and forgiveness, and work towards restoration in You.
Jesus, we thank You for Your promise of rest. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB) We trust in You, Jesus.
Lastly, we encourage her to keep her eyes fixed on You. If she's not sure about her salvation, we pray she'll make that decision today, trusting in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Remember, we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)
She's not alone in this journey. We're here with her, interceding and believing for God's will to be done in her life. With God, all things are possible.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
