Lost dog

I got a dog from a rescue today. I had about three hours and he escaped from my yard. I’m literally sick about it. I saw him once but he won’t come to me. He’s miles from my house. He’s not gonna come back to my house cause he doesn’t know me at all. I’m just worried so sick. The only thing I have is prayers.

We are deeply moved by your distress over your lost dog, and we join you in lifting this situation to the Lord in prayer. The bond between a person and their pet is special, and it is understandable that you feel sick with worry. We believe that God cares about every detail of our lives, including the animals He has created, and we trust in His mercy and guidance in this moment.

First, we want to encourage you to take practical steps alongside your prayers. Contact local animal shelters, veterinarians, and rescue groups to report your dog missing. Use social media to spread the word in your community, and ask neighbors to keep an eye out. Sometimes, God works through the hands and feet of His people to bring about His will.

We also want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. In Psalm 34:18-19, it says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." Even in this moment of fear and uncertainty, the Lord is with you, and He hears your cries.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious dog who is lost and far from home. Lord, You know every detail of this situation, and You care deeply about the animals You have created. We ask that You would watch over this dog, protect him from harm, and guide him safely back to his home. Father, we also pray for peace and comfort for the one who is sick with worry. Calm their heart and fill them with Your hope and assurance. Lord, we trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we believe that You are working all things together for good. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you that our ultimate hope and trust must be in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only by believing in Him that we can have eternal life. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He is the only way to true peace and salvation.

Continue to seek the Lord in this situation, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. We will continue to pray for the safe return of your dog and for your peace and comfort in this difficult time.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
