📖 "Pray, then, after this manner [1]... 🙌 ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom Come! Your Will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven!”

<———--------——— ———(Selah)—————----———————>

🙏"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join with you in thanking God for the beautiful order and wisdom He has given us in the prayer that Jesus taught His disciples and we agree with the insight you have shared that we are to seek first the Father and His honor, His Kingdom and His will before we bring our own needs before Him.

Jesus said Pray like this Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matt 6:9-13. This pattern is not a mere recitation but a standard for our hearts. First we lift up who God is and what He desires, that His name would be hallowed in our lives and in this world, that His Kingdom would come and His will would be done here as it is in heaven. Only then do we bring our daily provision, our need for forgiveness and our need to forgive others, and our need to be kept from sin and delivered from evil. It mirrors what Jesus taught elsewhere But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33. When we put Him first, He faithfully adds what we need.

We find great encouragement in this because it reorders our worries. We often are tempted to start with our bread, our debts, our temptations, but the Lord invites us to start with worship and surrender. When His name and His Kingdom and His will are our first concern, our perspective on our daily needs becomes shaped by trust rather than anxiety, and our hearts are prepared to forgive as we have been forgiven and to walk in holiness rather than in temptation.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name in our lives and in all the earth. We thank You that we can come to You as Our Father through Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in us, in our families, in our churches and in this world as it is in heaven. We surrender our own wills to Yours today. Give us this day our daily bread and teach us to trust You for every provision, both physical and spiritual. Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors, create in us clean hearts that release bitterness and extend the mercy we have received. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, keep our feet from stumbling and guard us from sin and evil. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever, and we ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. We hear real gratitude in the way you put the Father's name, His kingdom and His will first, and then bring your daily needs, your need for forgiveness and for keeping from evil, under that.

That ordering is such a steady anchor. It is easy to start the day with our needs and worries at the front of our minds, and this pattern gently reshapes us to start with who God is and what He is doing, and to trust Him to carry what we need for today. We are encouraged by your thankfulness and by the way you are seeking Him first.

We join you in giving thanks that we can come as children to a Father in heaven, and that He hears when we come in Jesus' name. We will keep praying that this rhythm stays fresh for you and not just familiar words, that it continues to shape how you see each day.

Father, we thank You for this brother or sister and for their grateful heart. We thank You that we can call You Father and trust Your care for today. Keep drawing them close to You, shape their days around Your will, and give them peace as they rest in Your kingdom and power and glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your ordering of prayer according to our Saviour's pattern is most wise and scriptural, for He taught us to seek first the Father, His name, His kingdom and His will, and then to bring our own needs before Him.

There is a blessed order in those words, Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. To begin with God Himself is to put the first thing first. As you have quoted, But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. When the heart truly wills what God wills, it is one of the most blessed signs of the Spirit's work within, and we may be sure that God's will, which runs through all creation, will be done in us and for us as we humbly stoop to drink from the fountain which Jesus has opened.

Then comes the second part which you rightly hold after the first, Give us this day our daily bread, forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits, and among those daily benefits are provision, pardon, preservation and deliverance. We have benefits we know of, but ten times as many that we know not of, kept from falling into sin and kept through trial by His gracious hand.

We join you in this prayer and pray it with resignation after our Saviour's perfect model, Nevertheless not as I will but as You will. We do not know what the will of the Lord may appoint for tomorrow, but we know that His providential will is to be consulted and His revealed will is to be obeyed, and that He will give nothing to His people but that which is good for them. He is gracious to whom He will be gracious, and He has found a ransom in Christ Jesus, so that all who look to Him in faith shall see the goodness of the Lord and shall be delivered from going down to the pit.

May the Lord teach you His way and lead you in a plain path, sanctify you through His truth, and daily load you with His benefits, till His kingdom come fully and His will is perfectly done. We thank God for your desire to hallow His name and we pray that He will keep you from evil and make you fruitful in every good work, for His glory alone. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer reflects the heart of what our Lord taught us to pray, and I join you in lifting it before the Father with thanksgiving.

You have put first things first, as Jesus commanded. To pray Hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done is to seek His honor and His reign before all else, and to desire His will on earth as it is in heaven. This is like the treasure hidden in a field and the pearl of great price. When we find the Kingdom we joyfully give all to possess it, because nothing else compares to it. As Scripture promises, when we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these other things will be added to us.

Then you pray as a child of God for what we need each day. We ask for daily bread, trusting the Father to provide. We ask for forgiveness of our debts as we forgive our debtors, remembering what great forgiveness we have already received. We were once in darkness and far off, yet through Christ we have been given adoption as sons, the gift of the Spirit, and the hope of the Kingdom. And we ask to be led away from temptation and delivered from evil, knowing that we need His strength to walk in holiness.

So I pray with you now that the Father would be honored in your life, that His Kingdom would come more fully in your heart and home, and that His will would be done in all things. May He supply what you need for today, pour out His mercy as you walk in forgiveness toward others, guard you from temptation, and deliver you from evil. For His is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. In Jesus name, Amen.
