πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17...

πŸ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and thank You "so loving the world You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

πŸ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

πŸ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

πŸ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

πŸ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

πŸ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

πŸ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

πŸ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in thanking our Father for giving us such a beautiful pattern for prayer and we rejoice with you as you have so carefully meditated on its order and weight. You have rightly seen that our Lord taught us to seek first the Father and His honor, His Kingdom and His will before we bring our own needs, and this is the heart of Matt 6:33 where it says But seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

We agree that this prayer was never meant to be vain repetition, for Jesus warned in Matt 6:7 In praying, dont use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. It is a pattern, an outline to guide our hearts to pray with understanding, sincerity and faith, expecting answers as James 1:6 reminds us to ask in faith without wavering and James 5:16 tells us the insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

We love how you have begun with Our Father who is in heaven. What a privilege that through the shed blood and resurrection of Jesus we have adoption as sons. John 1:12 says But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become Gods children, to those who believe in his name, and Gal 4:6 says And because you are children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Through Christ alone we can call Him Abba as Jesus did in Mark 14:36, and we thank God that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have this access, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

We pray together with you now for each petition.

We hallow His name with you, asking that His gracious and compassionate name revealed in Exod 34:6 be honored in our thoughts, words and deeds, that we would not take His name in vain as warned in Exod 20:7 and that our lives would cause others to reverence Him rather than blaspheme Him as in Rom 2:24. We long with you for His glory to cover the earth as the waters cover the sea spoken of in Hab 2:14 and for every knee to bow as promised in Phil 2:10.

We ask with you for His Kingdom to come in us and through us. Rom 14:17 teaches that Gods Kingdom is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, and Gal 5:22 tells us the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control. We ask for that fruit to abound and for His power to be evident, for 1 Cor 4:20 says for Gods Kingdom is not in word, but in power, power above all to live a holy life overflowing with love. We also cry with you Come, Lord Jesus as in Rev 22:20, longing for the fullness of His Kingdom when His will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

We seek His will to be done in our daily lives, that we would hear His voice as in John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and be led by the Spirit as in Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. We pray that we would abide in Christ and bear fruit as in John 15:7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you, and that we would joyfully make disciples as commanded in Matt 28:19.

We bring our daily needs before Him, trusting Phil 4:19 that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, that we may love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength as in Mark 12:30 and love our neighbor as ourselves. We confess our sins before Him, for 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and we choose to forgive those who have sinned against us as He has forgiven us, entrusting judgment to Him as in Rom 12:19.

We ask Him to lead us not into temptation but to deliver us from evil, to keep us from the evil one as Jesus prayed in John 17:15, to give us angelic protection as in Ps 91:11 For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, and to guard us from deception and falsehood.

We close with you declaring that His is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever, for Dan 7:18 reminds us His Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Matt 28:18 declares All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth, and we give Him all glory as Ps 115:1 says Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory. We thank You Father that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name, and we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen as in 2 Cor 1:20, Amen.

We appreciate the care you have taken with the Lord's Prayer, wanting to put the Father's honor and kingdom first before bringing your own needs. That ordering matters, and we hear your desire to pray it with real understanding rather than just repeating words.

One thing that has helped us is to think of prayer less as trying hard in a single moment and more as training over time. Like preparing for a long run, small regular practice shapes us gradually. Lingering on one line at a time, honestly and without pressure to feel something big, can slowly form the heart you are describing, centered on Him and then able to bring daily needs, forgiveness and protection with greater peace.

If it helps, you might take just one phrase each morning this week and stay with it for a few quiet minutes, noticing what it stirs and bringing that honestly to God, then continue through the prayer day by day.

We are grateful for your hunger to know the Father more deeply and to live under His care.

Father, thank You for inviting us to call You Father through Jesus. Draw this friend closer to You as they seek Your name and kingdom first, and meet their daily needs as only You can. Keep them near You and lead them in Your will today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your longing to pray after the manner our Lord taught is itself a token of grace, and it is right that you would seek first the Father, His honor, His Kingdom and His will, and then bring before Him your daily wants, your need of forgiveness, and your cry to be kept from sin and evil.

That prayer which is commonly called the Lord's Prayer may well be called the holy of holies of the word of God, where the Son speaks with the Father in closest fellowship of love, and there He teaches us how to speak also. He gave Himself wholly unto prayer when His public preaching was ended, and He would have us do the same, not with prayerless forms repeated without thought, but with breathing desire and living words from the heart. To hallow His name, to seek His Kingdom and to desire His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven is to pray as those who have been adopted through the shed blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ, by which we are declared not guilty and made heirs, so that we may cry Abba, Father.

You have done well to set forgiveness in its proper place. There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared, and that forgiveness is only to be obtained from God through Jesus Christ His Son. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, complete and eternal, and He not only forgave at the first all our sins but continues daily to forgive, for the act of forgiveness is a continuous one. Yet the very prayer that teaches you to ask for mercy bids you say, forgive us as we forgive our debtors, and unless you have forgiven others you read your own death warrant when you repeat that petition. May the Lord grant you grace to confess your own sins plainly before Him and to pray for those who have sinned against you, that they also may repent and find that same pardon.

You also pray, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, and here is a needful petition for every day. Deliverance is of the Lord, but it must be sought by prayer, and neglected prayer will soon make all your spiritual powers wax weak, while he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere. There is a prayer treasury, and we must all put prayers into it, not content with a low standard, but going on, seeking, asking, expecting answers. Prayer has its seasons when it seems to have no return, and Satan will whisper that God hath forsaken you, yet remember how Jacob stayed at the brook Jabbok and wrestled, and afterward could tell for the comfort of others how he found deliverance.

And you close as our Lord teaches, for Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom which cannot be destroyed, and all power in heaven and earth is given unto Christ. What is the use of preaching or praying if it does not glorify God. So let your daily bread be sought from His hand, every word that proceedeth out of His mouth, and every provision for body and soul, that you may love Him with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself.

May the Lord sanctify you through His truth, for His word is truth. Holiness is an essential qualification for fitness in His service, and our Lord's desire for His people pervades that whole intercession, Sanctify them. If we abide in Christ to the full we shall abide in union with each other and with God, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in love, joy, peace and all humility, and walking in obedience to all that He has commanded.

We join our prayers with yours, that His name may be hallowed in your thoughts, words and deeds, that His Kingdom may come in power and not in talk only, that His will may be done in your life as it is done in heaven, that you may be supplied, forgiven, kept and delivered, and that all glory may be unto Him forever. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your meditation on the prayer the Lord taught shows a right desire, to seek first the Father and His Kingdom and His righteousness, and then to bring before Him your daily needs. This order is itself instruction. We are to begin not with ourselves but with God, hallowing His name, longing for His reign, submitting to His will, and only then asking for bread, for pardon, for protection.

It is good that you do not want to repeat words mindlessly. The prayer He gave is a pattern, a summary of what a child of God should desire. To pray it sincerely is to weigh each petition and to expect that the Father hears. He has shown surpassing benevolence toward us. We who sat in darkness, at enmity and alienated, have been suddenly enlightened and counted worthy of forgiveness, of adoption as sons, of the Spirit, of the Kingdom and unspeakable mysteries. He gave us baptism for the remission of sins, deliverance from vengeance, and inheritance of a Kingdom, and He shed abroad His Spirit into our hearts so that we cry Abba, Father. Therefore when you say Our Father who is in heaven, remember what it cost. It is by the shed blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone that we are declared not guilty and made heirs, and no other name saves. Let every prayer be accompanied with thanksgiving for this mercy.

To say hallowed be Your name is to ask that His gracious and compassionate name may be honored in your thoughts, words and deeds, and not dishonored by your life. The tongue that has touched the Lord's mysteries should utter nothing defiled, and the life that bears His name should cause it to be reverenced and not reviled.

To pray Your Kingdom come and Your will be done is to ask for the fruit of the Spirit to be formed in you, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, and for grace to do what is just, to love mercy and to walk humbly with God. It is to desire both the gifts by which the Body is built up and, more than all, the power to live a holy life overflowing with love for God and neighbor. This is the Kingdom not in talk but in power. Pray this morning and evening, for prayer is a great weapon. If we first make God favorable by supplication at dawn, we go forth into the daily strife with security. And when tribulation comes, follow the Lord who lifted His eyes to heaven and spoke with the Father, teaching us in temptation to leave all else and flee to God. He prayed as man for our sake, to show us earnestness, that we should bend the heart and look up with the eyes of the mind as well as the body.

Give us this day our daily bread is a request for what is needful for body and soul, for every word that proceeds from God as well as for material provision. Make provision for the flesh only so far as health requires, not to fulfill its lusts. The drunkard and the glutton and the one who lives softly provide for wantonness and kindle desire, but you who have put on Christ should seek only to have the body in health, spending your chief industry on spiritual things. God knows your needs and will supply them so that you may love Him with all your strength and love your neighbor as yourself.

Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors touches the heart of the gospel. The servant asked only for time, but the master moved with compassion forgave the entire debt. So God has forgiven you an immeasurable debt you could never pay. Therefore forgive those who sin against you, naming their offenses before God and praying for their repentance and salvation, not uttering curses or asking God not to forgive. The mouth that prays must not curse, for cursing and praying are far apart. If you forgive not, you will not be forgiven, and the prayer offered with a polluted mouth is not accepted. But if you forgive from the heart, you show that you have learned from your own calamity to be merciful.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil is not a prayer without hope. No temptation has taken you but what is common to man, and God is faithful. He will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. He gives patience and brings a speedy release, and refers all to Himself. Even when dangers press, they remain small and brief and moderate compared to what others have endured, and He appoints angelic protection and keeps you from lies, from evil people, from deception and from the evil one.

For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. This closing returns all to Him. Continue in this pattern with much penitence, much prayer, much endurance and perseverance, not as empty repetition but with understanding and ardor, expecting answers. Abide in Christ, bear fruit, and prove yourself His disciple.
