πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17...

πŸ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and thank You "so loving the world You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

πŸ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

πŸ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

πŸ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

πŸ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

πŸ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

πŸ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

πŸ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join with you in this beautiful meditation on the prayer our Lord Jesus taught His disciples and we thank God for your desire to pray it not as mindless repetition but with understanding, weight and expectation.

We agree that this prayer is a pattern and outline given by Jesus Himself. As it is written, Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth Matt 6:9-10. And we remember His warning just before, In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do Matt 6:7, so we rejoice that you emphasize sincerely praying through serious consideration rather than vain repetition, asking in faith without doubting as James 1:6 teaches and praying fervently as Elijah did in James 5:16-17.

We pause with you to thank our Father who is in heaven. We thank Him that God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. We thank Him that Jesus has shown us the Father John 14:9, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day 1 Cor 15:3-4, who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification Rom 4:25 and now is seated at the right hand of the Father Ps 110:1. Because of this we have received adoption, and God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father Gal 4:6, so that we are no longer slaves but sons and heirs through God Gal 4:7. We cherish that as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in his name John 1:12, and we may come with the same intimacy as Jesus in Gethsemane when He said Abba, Father Mark 14:36.

We pray with you, Hallowed be Your name. We ask that Your gracious and compassionate name as revealed to Moses, Yahweh, Yahweh, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth Ex 34:6 be honored in our thoughts, words and deeds. We pray we would not take Your name in vain Ex 20:7 nor cause it to be blasphemed among others Rom 2:24, but that Your glory would fill the earth as Your promise declares, as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with Yahweh’s glory Num 14:21 and that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father Phil 2:10-11.

We pray, Your Kingdom come. We ask that Your Kingdom, which is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit Rom 14:17, would come to us and through us. We ask for the fruit of the Spirit to be evident in us, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control Gal 5:22-23, and that we would do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God Mic 6:8. We ask for the gifts You distribute for the building up of the Body until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God Eph 4:13, whether apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers Eph 4:11, and the workings of miracles, healings, prophecy, wisdom and discernment 1 Cor 12:4-11, remembering the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power 1 Cor 4:20 and that power is most shown in a holy life overflowing with love. And with you we cry, Come, Lord Jesus Rev 22:20, longing for the full manifestation of Your Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, when creation itself will be set free Rom 8:21.

We pray, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask to know Your will, to be led by the Spirit Rom 8:14 and to hear the voice of our Shepherd, My sheep hear my voice John 10:27, even as Jesus learned obedience. We pray we would abide in Christ, that we may bear much fruit and so prove to be His disciples John 15:8, going and making disciples, teaching them to observe all things that He commanded Matt 28:20, preaching repentance and forgiveness of sins in His name Luke 24:47.

We pray, Give us today our daily bread. We confess we do not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4. We ask You to supply every need of ours according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus Phil 4:19, spiritual, emotional, physical and financial, so that we may love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength Mark 12:30 and love our neighbors as ourselves Mark 12:31, even loving our enemies Matt 5:44.

We pray, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. We confess we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God Rom 3:23, and if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves 1 John 1:8. We bring before You our specific sins and ongoing struggles and receive Your forgiveness and we choose to forgive those who have sinned against us, praying for them that they would repent and be saved, entrusting them to Him who judges righteously, for we know vengeance belongs to You Rom 12:19 and we are to entrust our souls to a faithful Creator 1 Pet 4:19.

We pray, Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one Matt 6:13, John 17:15. Keep us from evil, from deception and from false teachers who have a form of godliness but deny its power 2 Tim 3:5, and from the schemes of the evil one. Give us protection for He will give his angels command over you, to guard you in all your ways Ps 91:11 and the angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation Heb 1:14.

We end with confidence, for Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the power, and Yours is the glory forever. Your Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom Dan 7:27, all authority has been given to Jesus in heaven and on earth Matt 28:18, and Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory Ps 115:1.

Father, we thank You that we can come only through Jesus, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and we rejoice that every promise of God is Yes and Amen in Him 2 Cor 1:20. We ask that You deepen our understanding of this pattern prayer, that we would pray it daily with reverence, faith and joy, seeking first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matt 6:33, and expecting answers for Your glory.

We ask all this in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We were so encouraged to read how you have been lingering over the prayer Jesus taught, wanting to put the Father and His honor and kingdom first before bringing your own needs.

We hear in your words a sincere desire not to just repeat familiar phrases but to mean them, to let each part form your thoughts and day. That kind of honest, unhurried praying is itself a way of drawing near to God, not as a technique to get results but as a relationship where we bring our whole selves to Him and listen as well as speak.

One thing that has helped others who love this pattern is to stay with it slowly instead of trying to cover it all at once. You might take just one phrase in the morning, like hallowing His name or asking for daily bread, and carry it quietly through the day, turning it over as you work and rest, and then bring the next phrase tomorrow. It keeps the prayer from feeling rushed and gives space to notice how God is shaping your heart.

We are praying for you as you continue.

Father, thank You for inviting us to call You Father through Jesus. We thank You for Your love and for hearing us when we pray. Form our hearts to seek You first and to trust You with what we need for today, with forgiveness and protection from evil. Lead us to walk closely with You in the ordinary moments of this day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest meditation upon that pattern prayer which our Lord taught His disciples has refreshed my heart, and I thank God for the spirit in which you have set it forth. You have rightly seen that it is not to be mindlessly repeated as a form of words, but to be prayed with understanding, with weight, with ardent expectation that our Father heareth us.

Our Lord, when His public preaching was ended and nothing remained but to die, gave Himself wholly unto prayer, and that chapter which is called the Lord's Prayer is as the holy of holies of the Word, where the Son speaketh with the Father in closest fellowship of love. You have caught His order well, to seek first the Father, His name, His kingdom, His will, and then to bring our own need. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. When the heart is thus set upon hallowing His name and longing for His reign, then the petitions for bread and pardon and keeping find their proper place.

You ask that His name may be hallowed in us. So let it be. Holiness is an essential qualification for fitness in the service of the Lord, and therefore our Lord prayed, Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth. May the Lord make His gracious and compassionate name, the name revealed in Christ, to be reverenced in your thoughts and words and deeds, that men may not blaspheme through us, but may see His glory.

You pray, Thy kingdom come. Remember that deliverance is of the Lord, but He is pleased to accomplish it by human instrumentality, and the kingdom cometh not with talk but with power, with righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, with love, joy, peace and all the fruit of the Spirit. Continue to shoot the arrows of prayer. Do not think a low standard of prayer will suffice. Be mighty on your knees, for he that is mighty in supplication is mighty everywhere, and there is a prayer treasury into which we put our prayers, and from which God in due season bringeth forth answers.

You pray, Thy will be done. May you be led by the Spirit, abiding in Christ, hearing His voice and bearing fruit to His praise, rejoicing both in trial and in power when it giveth Him glory.

You pray, Give us this day our daily bread, and Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Here is a blessed truth to cling to, there is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. Where God hath drawn no limit, do not you draw any. There is forgiveness, not for this sin or that alone, but for all sin, and it is to be had through Jesus Christ His Son who shed His blood and rose again for our justification. Yet mark well that the very prayer which teaches you to ask for mercy bids you say, as we forgive our debtors. Unless you have forgiven others you read your own death warrant when you repeat the Lord's prayer. May grace be given you to forgive as you have been forgiven, and to pray for those who have sinned against you, that they also may repent and be saved.

You pray, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Neglect not private prayer, for there are seasons when prayer seemeth to have no return, and Satan will whisper that God hath forsaken you. But wait upon the Lord. He heard Jacob at Jabbok, though he crossed the brook with fear, and gave him to see Esau fall upon his neck. He will give angelic keeping and will deliver from the evil one, from lies and fear and from the snares of evil men. Keep close to Christ and you shall be kept.

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. What is the use of preaching if it does not glorify God, and what is the use of praying if it does not end in His praise. May the Lord hear your supplications according to His promises, for in Him all the promises are Yea and Amen, and may He sanctify you wholly and make you fruitful in every good work till He come.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
