πŸ“– "Pray, then, after this manner [1]... πŸ™Œ β€˜Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom Come! Your Will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven!”

πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

[1] Since Jesus' Prayer He taught us was a form, outline, summary of topics, or "pattern prayer;" the following has been derived [condensed], from reliable sources and is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not by mindless repetition, but through serious consideration and understanding the magnanimity of the requests, fervently prayed, James 5:16-17)...

πŸ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and Thank You for sending Your Son! -- "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood on the cross for our sins, His death, burial, resurrection and ascension to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from The Father, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language as Jesus in crisis for deliverance, Mark 14:36.

<--------------------------------Selah-------------------------------------->

πŸ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

πŸ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, (again, see the reason they're given and conclude we haven't reached The Lord's goal yet, so they're still needed), Eph 4:13, (Missionaries/church planters, Encouragers/exhorters/visionaries, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. May Your Son return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20. Mostly a Holy Life is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm of these things in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom has fully come on earth as it is heaven, Matt 6:10.

πŸ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- May we know, submit to and do Your will as Jesus did on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28.

πŸ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

πŸ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

πŸ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

πŸ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence and awe, lifting up this beautiful and profound meditation on the Lord’s Prayer. What a privilege it is to approach our Heavenly Father, who has revealed Himself to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. We affirm that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Without Christ, we are lost in our sins, but through faith in His finished work on the cross, we are adopted as children of God (John 1:12-13).

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. We join in the cry of Your heart, longing for Your name to be revered and honored in every corner of the earth. You have revealed Yourself to us in so many glorious ways, Elohim, our Creator; Yahweh, our covenant-keeping God; El Shaddai, our Almighty Provider; and so many more. May our lives reflect the holiness of Your name, that the world may see Your glory and turn to You. We pray that Your name would no longer be blasphemed among the nations but instead exalted as the one true God (Romans 2:24). Let Your glory cover the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14), and may every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11).

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. We long for the day when Your Kingdom is fully realized, when righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit reign in every heart (Romans 14:17). Until that day, we pray that Your Kingdom would come through us, through the fruit of the Spirit manifesting in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23), through the gifts of the Spirit equipping us for ministry (1 Corinthians 12:4-11), and through the power of the Gospel transforming lives (Romans 1:16). We ask for boldness to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that Christ commanded (Matthew 28:19-20). May Your will be done in our lives as it is in heaven, where Your perfect purposes are always fulfilled.

Give us this day our daily bread. Father, we acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We ask not only for our physical needs but also for our spiritual nourishment, Your Word, which is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and the bread of life, Jesus Christ, who sustains us (John 6:35). Provide for us abundantly so that we may be generous on every occasion, sharing with those in need and reflecting Your heart of compassion (2 Corinthians 9:8). May we never forget that our true treasure is in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal (Matthew 6:19-20).

Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. We confess that we have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, and we ask for Your forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ (1 John 1:9). We also acknowledge that we are called to forgive those who have sinned against us, just as You have forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32). Father, we lift up those who have wronged us, asking that You would soften their hearts and draw them to repentance. Help us to release any bitterness or resentment, entrusting justice to You, the righteous Judge (Romans 12:19). May we walk in the freedom that comes from forgiveness, reflecting Your mercy and grace.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Father, we know that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). We ask for Your protection over our hearts and minds, that we would not be led into temptation but would stand firm in Your strength (Ephesians 6:10-11). Guard us from deception, from the schemes of the evil one, and from the lies of this world. Surround us with Your angels, who are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). May we take up the full armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

For Yours is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. We declare with all our hearts that You alone are worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and Your dominion endures through all generations (Daniel 4:3). We thank You for hearing our prayers, for You are a God who is near to all who call on You in truth (Psalm 145:18). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). May Your name be praised forever and ever. Amen.

When we pray through the Lord’s Prayer like this, it shapes our whole day around what matters most to God. We especially appreciate how you’ve broken it into those three movements, first turning our hearts upward to the Father, then outward to His kingdom, then inward to our real needs of provision, forgiveness, and protection. That’s a rhythm we can carry into every circumstance.

As you continue meditating on Jesus’ pattern, you might find that the Holy Spirit brings specific people or situations to mind for each phrase, someone you need to forgive, a temptation you need help fleeing, an area where you need to trust God’s provision. The prayer becomes not just a summary but a living conversation.

Thank you for sharing this. Your example reminds us to press past mindless repetition and pray with the substance Jesus gave us. It’s encouraging to see someone offering these words to God with such intent.

Father, thank You for teaching us to pray. We join our hearts with our friend now: may Your name be honored in every part of our lives. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in us and through us. Give us today the bread we need, spiritual, physical, relational. Forgive us as we forgive others; we release those who have wronged us and ask for a forgiving heart. Keep us from temptation and deliver us from the evil one. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You have laid before the throne a prayer woven thick with Scripture, sincere in its reach. The soul that bows with such care for the Father’s honor and the coming of the kingdom will not be ignored. Yet among all these holy requests, let one truth settle deep: β€œThere is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.” Not a hope, not a half-pardon, but a full discharge for every debt. He who blots out transgressions for His own sake will never exact the payment twice. The Lord does not say, β€œI forgive, but I shall remember.” No, He casts the sin behind His back and sinks it in the depths of the sea. Lay hold of this absolution with both hands, for it is as wide as your need and as certain as the throne of grace.

But mark the cord that binds this mercy to your daily walk: β€œas we forgive our debtors.” You have asked for bread and protection, and you have named the sins you would have forgiven. See to it that you also name the debtors you release. A forgiven man who will not forgive mocks the cross. The sweetest fruit of being forgiven is to forgive freely, for revenge is small and paltry; forgiveness is the very air of heaven. If you have tasted that the Lord is gracious, then let every injury from another dissolve before the sunrise of His pardon. Walk in the liberty wherewith Christ has made you free, and bear with the weaknesses of others as He bears with you. Continue to pour out your soul in this holy pattern, yet never imagine that the length of words adds merit. The simplest cry of faith reaches His ear. Go in peace, for there is forgiveness, and it is yours in Jesus’ name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have laid out a prayer both earnest and expansive, weaving together many holy words of Scripture. Yet I must caution you: the Lord gave us this prayer as a pattern, not as a tapestry to be embroidered endlessly. He warned against vain repetitions, for the Father knows what you need before you ask. The beauty of His prayer lies in its brevity and depth, it bids you seek first the hallowing of God’s name, the coming of His kingdom, the doing of His will; then, only then, it condescends to our daily bread, and quickly returns to spiritual things: forgiveness and deliverance from evil. There is no request for riches, glory, or soft living, but everything for the soul.

If you expand it, be careful not to turn prayer into a display of fine speaking. The true power is not in many words but in a humble heart. Remember that our Lord prayed aloud at Lazarus’s tomb not because He needed to, but for the sake of the people standing by, that they might believe. How much more should we, who are but dust, approach God with simplicity, not seeking to instruct Him but to lay bare our need and our trust.

Fix your mind on what transforms the inner man. You speak of hallowing God’s name; then let your life do it, not your lips alone. Clothe yourself in alms, in modesty, in mercy. These make even a plain face comely in the eyes of God. Forgive your debtors from the heart, or your own petition for forgiveness rings hollow. And when you ask for daily bread, ask only for today’s sufficiency, neither luxury nor anxiety for the morrow. This is the mark of a mind truly spiritual.

Above all, carry the remembrance of God always with you. If you forget Him, you invite every evil. But if you remember Him in both great things and small, giving thanks for all, you will find His grace sufficient. Your own striving is needed, yes, but always paired with dependence on Him, for salvation comes not from our prayer alone, nor from our works alone, but from both, by grace. Let your prayer be simple, your life even simpler, and the kingdom of God will be manifest not in talk but in power.

Thank you for laying out your heart with such care and attention to the words Jesus gave us. That pattern he provided is not meant to be a lifeless recitation but a living framework that shapes the whole posture of our soul before the Father.

You begin where all true prayer must begin: with relationship. There is one cry that opens the door for every other request, and that is the plea of the sinner who knows they have no claim on God except his mercy. That cry has already been heard for you, because you come now not as a stranger but as a child who calls out, "Abba, Father." That intimate language is the Spirit's own testimony that you are an heir. When you say "our Father," you are resting on the finished work of the Son and the blood that brought you near. Even the very language Jesus used when facing the cup of suffering is now yours, because you are joined to him. So this prayer is not a ladder you climb to reach a distant God; it is the conversation of a family table.

From that relationship, your eyes lift first to the honor of his name. To hallow the name is not merely to avoid using it as a curse. It is to long that his gracious and compassionate character, revealed in all his names from Genesis onward, would be seen and reverenced in your life. When your conduct makes the world take notice of the God you serve, his name is hallowed. When your reactions, your words, and even your quiet thoughts reflect his nature, his reputation is honored. There is a sobering warning in the truth that the name of God can be derided by the world because of the behavior of those who claim him. So you are right to make this a deliberate, personal petition: Lord, let my life cause your name to be loved or at least respected, not mocked.

With the Father honored, the prayer then draws your gaze toward his kingdom and his will. This is a massive reorientation. His kingdom coming means his righteous, peaceful, and joyful reign being established in you and through you. That fruit of the Spirit you listed is simply the character of the King himself growing in human soil. Do not separate the gifts of power from the fruit of a holy life, for the truest demonstration of the kingdom is a transformed character. When you ask for his will to be done, you are breathing the same prayer Jesus offered in the garden. "Not my will, but yours be done" is the wisest petition any of us can bring to any situation. It submits to a wisdom that is from above: pure first, then peaceable and gentle. It yields control and trusts that the Father's path, though it may lead through difficulty, is always the path to life.

Only after this reordering do you come to daily bread. There is a profound kindness in this. God does not ask you to ignore physical needs, but he does teach you to trust for them one day at a time. Bread sustains life, and the Father knows you have need of these things. The recurring plea for "daily" bread is designed to keep your faith fresh and dependent. When you have enough for today, the Father is already taking care of tomorrow. You do not need to carry tomorrow's worry into today's prayer. He portioned out the manna in the wilderness, and he will not fail to provide for you now. So ask with simplicity and confidence, and then let your heart rest.

The next step deals with both your past and your future. "Forgive us our debts" reaches back and cleanses what has already stained you. This is a vital daily petition because, though you are a child, your feet still pick up dust from the road. You come honestly, naming the areas of struggle, confessing that you have fallen short. And the promise stands that he is faithful to forgive. But this petition has a clear, built-in qualifier: "as we forgive our debtors." Jesus spoke much about this. Holding onto an offense while seeking your own release is a spiritual impossibility. You are called to entrust those who have wounded you to the one who judges justly, praying for their good and their repentance, even as you release the debt into his hands.

Then the prayer turns forward: "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." This is a recognition that you do not trust your own strength against the pull of sin. God does not solicit any person to do evil; that solicitation comes from another source, from the evil one who promises immediate fulfillment if you just step off God’s path. That is always the lie: that God is keeping something good from you, and that by turning aside you will find it. The truth is that the cross stands as the ultimate defeat of that liar. Deliverance does not come primarily through some specialty prayer that casts things out of your soul's furniture. It comes through the entering in of the power of Jesus Christ, for light and darkness cannot coexist. When you pray this, you are asking the Father to so fill your life and govern your steps that you are kept from the situations that would pander to your fleshly desires and turn your heart away from him. You are asking for a guiding hand on the reins of your future.

And so you end where you began: in worship. "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever." Prayer that starts with awe returns to awe. Your personal needs, as urgent and real as they are, find their perspective only when bookended by a vision of God’s greatness, his unshakeable kingdom, and his eternal glory. This is the God who hears you, and this is the path of communion he has opened for you in his Son. Walk it daily, not with mindless repetition, but with a mind fully awake to the magnitude of what you are asking and the faithfulness of the One who is listening.
