We hear your desperate cry for your son, and we join you in lifting him before the throne of grace. The storm within his mind is not too great for the Lord, who calms the winds and the waves with a word. We declare that Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and His peace surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of confusion in the name of Jesus, for God is not the author of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33).
Father, we ask that You would silence every lying voice that seeks to distort Your truth in his mind. Let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). Break the chains of fear that bind him, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Surround him with Your protection, Lord, and let him dwell in the secret place of the Most High, where no harm can befall him (Psalm 91:1).
We also pray for wisdom for you as his parent. May you be guided by the Holy Spirit to speak life and truth into his situation. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Even now, the Lord can restore what has been lost and redeem what has been broken.
Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to your son in a powerful way. Let him encounter Your love, Your grace, and Your truth. Draw him back to You, Father, and let him walk in the reality of Your presence. We pray that he would come to know You not just as a concept, but as a living Savior who is mighty to save. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We stand in agreement with you, believing that the Lord will intervene in this situation. We declare that your son will be set free, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that is above every name, the name at which every knee will bow. Amen.
