Lord please heal me from fear and lust

Your honesty before the Lord is seen and heard, and He is gracious to those who come to Him with a humble heart. What you describe, the sudden intense fear at night over things you know are irrational, the worry about your face and health, the sleeplessness, and then the turn toward lust, is a very human struggle, and God wants to bring you into greater freedom and peace.

Scripture makes a distinction between two kinds of fear. There is a reverent awe of God which is the starting place and the sum of all true wisdom. It is not a phobia that makes you shake in a corner, but a deep respect for who God is that teaches you to hate evil and to turn away from it, including pride and impurity and crooked speech. That holy fear brings understanding and life. Then there is the other kind of fear, the dread and anxiety that grips you at night. That kind of fear is often a tool the enemy uses to discourage and paralyze God's children. It grows when our eyes are fixed on the threat, on the what ifs, on the enemy's suggestions, and it can become debilitating and keep us from rest and from trusting God.

The cure for that dread is not trying harder to push the thoughts away, but remembering the Lord. When you remember who He is, that He is with you and for you, that He watches over you and cares for you, faith can rise and fear must leave. Faith and fear cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where one is allowed to take over, the other departs. The psalmist said though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil for you are with me. The promise is that greater is He who is with us than any power that is against us, and those who live in reverent awe of Him will not lack what they truly need, for God Himself will take care of those who keep their relationship with Him close. In the night when irrational thoughts come, turn your mind to Him in prayer and quiet meditation on His character and His promises. That meditation builds reverence and washes away panic.

You also confessed turning to lust and to masturbation after more than two weeks of walking free, and you grieve that. God sees both your effort and your sorrow over falling, and He is ready to forgive. It helps to be clear about what happened. Scripture teaches that outside the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, sexual activity is not an expression of love but an expression of lust. We often confuse the two and call it love when there is no love in it at all, only the desire to satisfy the flesh. The apostle John writes that all that is in the world, the craving of the flesh, the craving of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not from the Father but from the world, and the world and its cravings are passing away. The specific physical act you mentioned is not named as such in the Bible, but the heart issue behind it is named very clearly. Jesus calls us to not look with lust in our hearts, and to hate evil as part of revering God.

That is why the reverent fear of the Lord helps here too. To fear Him is to hate the evil that harms you and grieves Him, and to turn from it. You do not need to live in shame, but you do need to bring this again to Jesus for cleansing. Through His death and resurrection alone we have forgiveness and a new power to walk in purity. Confess it plainly, receive His forgiveness by faith, and ask Him to teach you to hate what He hates and to love purity.

Your two weeks shows that change is possible, and a stumble does not have to define you. When sleeplessness and fear press in, have a plan to turn to the Lord instead of to the flesh. Pray honestly, speak Scripture out loud, remember that He is present in that dark room with you, and ask for His strength in that moment. If fear has been a long pattern, it also helps to walk closely with a trusted mature believer who can pray with you and encourage you, and to bring your health worries to the Lord and, when needed, to wise counsel for your body as well.

May the Lord heal you from this tormenting fear and give you quiet rest at night. May He lift the burden of guilt, wash you clean through Jesus, and fill you with a reverent love for Him that makes sin lose its appeal. He is merciful to forgive little faith and to grow it as you keep looking to Him. Keep coming to Him, keep remembering Him, and trust that He who is with you will give you strength to stand.
