Beloved of All
🌾"And Jesus was saying to them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest,'" Luke 10:2. 🙏 Lord Jesus, You are The Lord of The Harvest. We urgently ask for workers and laborers to be called, prepared, provided for and sent out into Your harvest -- "where You are Your servant will be also," Jn 12:26. Help us understand agricultural crop readiness does not last forever and the ACCEPTABLE TIME is NOW, TODAY is The Day of SALVATION, 2 Cor 6:2! Grant us all we need: calling, intimacy with You, LOVE in OUR HEARTS, Eph 3:15-17, power to know, do and show the Word, to hear and obey Your Voice, passports, plane tickets, financial provision, accommodations, Matt 6:11, and the protection from sin and the evil one, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, in Your Name, Jesus, Amen. 📖 "We must carry out the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming, when no one can work," John 9:4. "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth, Acts 1:8" -- Blessing and UNITY on evangelist's families so gospel goes forth with good consciences and power under open heavens, 1 Pet 3:7. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join with you wholeheartedly in this urgent and biblical cry to the Lord of the harvest and we say amen to your prayer.

You have prayed exactly as our Lord instructed us to pray when He said The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest Matt 9:37-38 and again The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest Luke 10:2. We agree that Jesus Himself is the Lord of the harvest and that we must plead with Him for workers to be called, prepared, provided for and sent out.

We also agree with the urgency you have expressed. The Scripture reminds us Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation 2 Cor 6:2 and Jesus said We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work John 9:4. Agricultural readiness does not last forever and souls are eternal. We cannot delay or be passive while the fields are already white for harvest.

We love that you have prayed for Holy Spirit power, for that is the only way the harvest will be gathered. Jesus promised But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth Acts 1:8. Without His power we can do nothing, but with His filling we can seek and save the lost as our Savior did, for the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost Luke 19:10. This is the very heart of God, who is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Pet 3:9.

So together we pray in the name of Jesus.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Lord of the harvest. We plead with You to send out laborers into Your harvest. Call them, set apart those You have chosen, deepen their intimacy with You, and fill their hearts with Your love, that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith, to the end that they being rooted and grounded in love may know the love that surpasses knowledge Eph 3:17-19. Grant them power to know, to do and to show Your Word, to hear Your voice and to obey quickly. We ask You to provide all they need as You taught us to pray Give us today our daily bread Matt 6:11, provide passports and tickets and accommodations and every financial need, and open every door no man can shut. We ask for Your protection over them, deliver them from evil Matt 6:13 and keep them from the evil one as Jesus prayed Keep them from the evil one John 17:15. Guard them from sin and keep their consciences clear. We pray for the families of evangelists and laborers, that You would give blessing and unity in their homes, that husbands and wives would dwell together with understanding and honor, that their prayers may not be hindered 1 Pet 3:7, and that the gospel may go forth with power under open heavens. Help us all to follow where You lead, for where You are, there Your servant will be also John 12:26. Make us willing to go ourselves, not only to pray for others to go. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue in this intercession daily and to also be ready to be an answer to your own prayer. The Lord often sends those who are willing to pray. Let us each ask Him, Here I am, send me, and be faithful to witness where we are, in our Jerusalem, and to be willing to go to the uttermost parts of the earth as He leads.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer for the harvest. Your urgency and love for those who do not yet know Jesus comes through clearly, and we join you in that burden.

We hear how you are asking not just for more workers in general, but for the Lord to actually call, equip, provide for and protect them, and to keep their families strong so the gospel can go forward with clear consciences and open doors. That is a faithful way to pray.

One thing that has helped us is remembering that being a witness does not require being a scholar or having a special title. An evangelist is simply an introducer, someone who says to a person in pain, have you met Jesus who can change your life. And mission does not only happen far away. It often begins right across the street, with two or three believers stepping out together where they already live and work. As you continue to plead with the Lord of the harvest for laborers to be sent to the ends of the earth, you might also ask Him to show you one or two people near you this week where you can take that same introducing step.

We will keep praying with you for both the going and the sending, for provision and protection, and for unity among those who go.

Father, we ask in Jesus' name that You would raise up workers for Your harvest, sustain them and their families, and give them love, wisdom and power to speak Your truth. Provide what they need and guard them from evil, and use us also where You have placed us. Amen.

We heartily join you in this pleading which is so agreeable to the mind of Christ, for our Lord Himself has taught us to pray in this very manner, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few, pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.

Your prayer rightly remembers that the Lord of the harvest is Jesus Himself, and that the field is His own. If the harvest should perish it is our heavenly Father's harvest that perishes, and therefore we may plead with holy boldness that He will thrust out laborers into it. He employs laborers on His farm, poor fellows as we are, yet He condescends to make us laborers together with God. The Lord works with them with signs following, and this is a great part of the laborers wages, to know that we do not go alone.

We agree with you that agricultural readiness does not last forever. The reaping of the harvest is to a considerable extent a matter of now or never, for the sheaves will spoil if left standing. Now is the accepted time, behold now is the day of salvation, and the fields are already white for harvest. Every church should be looking for a spiritual harvest and sowing and tending with a view to that harvest, expecting an increase and rejoicing when God gives it. There is a joy in harvest which has respect to former toil, and when the harvested ones themselves rejoice, the joy is doubled.

Therefore we pray with you that the Lord will call, prepare and send forth faithful men and women who will work in a right spirit, whom God is certain to bless. May He grant intimacy with Christ, love in the heart, power to know and to do and to show the Word, and grace to hear and obey His voice. May He who clothes the fields provide what is needed for the going forth, daily bread, passports and provisions, accommodations and open doors, and may He keep the laborers from sin and from the evil one, as our Lord prayed, that they may go forth with good consciences and with power under open heavens.

We ask also for the promise of Acts 1:8 in full measure, that when the Holy Spirit is come upon them they shall be witnesses unto Him both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And we ask for blessing and unity upon the households of those who are sent, that no hindrance may come to the gospel through discord or unholiness at home, but that their families may be strengthened to sustain the work.

May the Lord stir up Christian zeal throughout the whole of Christendom to take advantage of this auspicious hour, for we cannot reap without laborers. May He answer this prayer speedily and give us the joy of seeing many sheaves gathered in for His glory, till the great harvest home above when the righteous shall rejoice before Him with a greater joy than ten thousand harvests on earth have ever known.

We commit this burden to our faithful God in the name of Jesus, trusting that He who bade us pray will surely send the workers. Amen.

Your prayer for workers in the harvest is pleasing to God, for it echoes the compassion of Christ Himself. When He saw the multitudes troubled and scattered as sheep having no shepherd, He was moved with compassion and said the harvest truly is plentiful but the laborers are few, and He calls us to plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers.

He spoke of the twelve, and though they were few He did not at first add to their number, but He made them many by giving them power. He gave them power to cleanse the lepers, to cast out devils, to raise the dead, saying freely you have received, freely give. So it is still. The answer to the prayer for more laborers is not only more numbers but more power from on high.

That power is the gift of the Holy Spirit. Before the cross the Spirit had been withheld and was not yet given in abundance, but after the resurrection Christ breathed on them and said receive the Holy Spirit, and at Pentecost the promise was fulfilled. When the day of Pentecost was fully come, suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and tongues like fire sat upon each of them, showing that the gift had settled and remained. At that feast when the sickle is put to the harvest, the Spirit came as a keen sickle of the word, for the fields are white already to harvest. And Christ said you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth. It is by that power that witnesses are made, and by that power sins are remitted and the gospel goes forth.

Therefore I join you in asking the Lord of the harvest to call, prepare and send workers, to grant them intimacy with Christ, love in their hearts, and power to know and to do and to show the Word and to hear and obey His voice. I ask Him to provide what is needed for the work, daily bread, financial provision, passports and tickets and housing where needed, and to grant protection from sin and from the evil one, as He prayed that we would be kept from the evil one. I ask for blessing and unity upon the families of those who preach, that with good consciences and open heavens they may proclaim peace to those far off and to those near, for through Christ we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

The time is urgent, for the acceptable time is now and today is the day of salvation. The readiness of the crop does not last forever, and night is coming when no one can work. May the Lord grant that while it is still day we carry out the works of Him who sent us, seeking and saving the lost, that none should perish but all should come to repentance, through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray, Amen.
