Silas
Beloved of All
Your honest prayer to love the Lord more fully is the right place to begin, and God hears that desire. To love Him with all your mind, soul, body and heart starts with reverence for Him. That reverence is the beginning of true knowledge and wisdom, and it means turning away from what He calls evil and walking closely with Him. As you seek Him, talk about Him throughout your day, keep His Word before you, and let it shape your thoughts and choices. He will teach you to love Him more as you learn to know Him and trust Him.
For the matter of the land and the deed of sale, your instinct to be truthful in writing is wise. God honors honesty and He honors His Word, and not one of His good promises will fail. He will keep what He has promised completely. The worry that the government might withdraw if you are transparent is understandable, but try to redirect your focus from the size of the problem to the greatness of God. He is greater than any legal detail, any contract, or any delay. Trusting in human strategy or in trying to manage outcomes in the flesh puts us in a dangerous position, but trusting in the Lord brings strength and peace. Even this long waiting and uncertainty can be like a wilderness season where God is teaching you to trust His providential care. He hovers over His people, He sees, and He is working even when you cannot see how. Keep submitting it to Him as you have prayed, Thy will be done, and rest in His ability to do what is right.
The same is true for the questions about the eviction order and the relatives who were not named. Waiting more than a month without an update is hard, and it is easy to feel hesitant to ask or to fear there is no remedy. We cannot fully understand the ways of God, for His ways are not our ways, and it is often futile to demand answers to every why. What we can do is trust that He is faithful and that He will give wisdom when it is needed. Pray for your attorney, that God would grant her wisdom and clarity, and continue to entrust the outcome to Him. If it is His will to bring a complete resolution, He is able to perform what He has promised, and He will provide the means.
For the neighboring lot and the hoped for joint sale, the silence after the survey is also a test of patience. God knows the right timing and the right buyer, and He owns all things. The earth and everything in it belongs to Him, including these lots. Continue to commit that sale to Him and ask Him to guide it according to His will. God looks for hearts that are fully turned toward Him so He can work through them, and as you keep your heart open to Him, He will lead you in the way that serves His purposes best.
Your concern for your siblings is precious to the Lord. Division among family grieves His heart, and He is able to soften hearts and bring forgiveness where there has been hurt. Serving the true and living God makes us better people, more forgiving and more gracious, while turning away from Him hardens us. Pray that each of you would press closer to the Lord, and as you draw near to Him you will find it easier to draw near to one another. Ask Him to help your sister and brother forgive as they have been forgiven in Christ.
You have placed your finances and health before Him, and that is right. All you have is His, and He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Because He is your refuge, you do not need to fear even when everything feels unstable, as though the earth were being moved. This does not mean that trusting God removes every physical problem. Loving and serving Him is no guarantee against illness or hardship. But He has given us grace, not because He owes us, but because He freely gives righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Stand in that grace. Honor Him with what you have, use good sense in caring for your body and your resources, and trust Him for the rest. Do not be afraid of sudden fear when trouble comes, for the Lord will be your confidence and keep you.
For your health worries as you wait for the colonoscopy and endoscopy, especially with your mother's history, bring that fear directly to Him. It is natural to be awed by how illness can weaken a body, but God is greater. He sustains, He strengthens, He heals according to His perfect will, and He is with you. Even death is not defeat for the child of God, because His promises extend beyond this life. He loves you and He will keep you. Choose to trust His Word rather than your fear. Like one who is fully persuaded that what God has promised He is able to do, you can say with the psalmist, hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my face and my God. One day you will praise Him even for how He carried you through this trial.
May the Lord grant you peace as you wait, wisdom for every decision, healing and strength for your body, provision for your needs, and reconciliation in your family. May He help you to love Him more deeply each day and to find your confidence not in outcomes but in Him. I pray this in the name of Jesus, who alone is our salvation and hope.
