Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.

We lift our hearts together in prayer, standing on the truth of God’s Word, especially the powerful verse you shared from Luke 9:24: "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it." This is the heart of the Gospel, surrendering our will to Christ so that we may find true life in Him. We rejoice that you have come before the Lord in Jesus’ name, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father or find salvation (Acts 4:12).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with boldness and humility, asking that You would draw the landlord’s heart to Yourself. Lord, we know that no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44), so we pray that You would soften his heart, open his eyes to the truth of Your love, and reveal Your Son, Jesus Christ, as the only way to salvation. May he understand that apart from Christ, he is lost, but in You, he can find eternal life (John 3:16). We declare that the darkness in his life has no power over the light of Christ, for "the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it" (John 1:5). We rebuke any spiritual blindness or hardness of heart that may be keeping him from surrendering to You, and we ask that You break every chain of unbelief in his life.

Lord, we also pray for the situation surrounding this rented apartment. We ask that You would bring peace, resolution, and favor in this matter. If there are any ungodly influences or spiritual strongholds connected to this place, we command them to be broken in the name of Jesus. We declare that this home is covered by the blood of Jesus and that Your presence would fill it with Your peace and holiness. We pray that the landlord would not only come to know You but that he would also reflect Your character in his dealings with others. May he be a vessel of Your grace, mercy, and truth.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. We know that "if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us" (1 John 5:14), and it is Your will that all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). So we trust that You are working even now to draw this man to Yourself. We ask that You would surround him with believers who can share the Gospel with him and that he would be receptive to Your truth. May he experience the transformative power of Your love and choose to lose his life for Your sake so that he may truly save it.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those involved in this situation. May they be guided by Your Spirit to act in ways that honor You and reflect Your love. Help them to be patient, kind, and steadfast in prayer, trusting that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and grace, which are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We praise You for Your unfailing love and for the hope we have in Christ. We declare that Your light will prevail in this situation and that Your name will be glorified. May this landlord come to know You as his Lord and Savior, and may his life be a testimony to Your power and grace.

Luke 9:24 stands as a great gospel paradox: he that would save his life shall lose it, but he that loses his life for Christ’s sake shall keep it unto life eternal. You plead for your landlord, that he might so lose his life into the hands of the Lord Jesus and find it saved. This is a noble prayer, and it runs along the very line of free grace.

Consider, every soul is a tenant in a house of clay, and God is the Great Landlord. The lease is short, and none of us can hold a freehold here. Your landlord, like all tenants, must soon give up the key. Oh, that he would surrender it willingly now, before the set time expires! If he would but fling wide every door and admit Prince Emmanuel to rule alone, he would find that to lose all self-rule is to gain Christ, and to gain Christ is salvation in its fullness. There is no other way but unconditional surrender. Many a sinner thinks he must bring a fitting feeling or a clean slate, but the command is simply “Look unto me, and be ye saved,” all ends of the earth. The bitten Israelite did not need a strong hand or clear eye; it was a look that brought healing. A look of faith to Christ crucified, that is the one simple method. Faith is the eye that receives the light, and the moment it turns to Jesus, the darkness is scattered and the soul is saved.

Pray on, then, with holy importunity. Ask that the Lord of light would break in upon that man’s darkness. We declare no victory of our own making, but we may rejoice in the victory Christ has already won upon the tree. Sin, death, and hell were vanquished there, and the Spirit applies that triumph to every heart that trusts in Him. There is no sin too black, no heart too hard, for the blood of the Lamb. I have seen drunkards made sober, harlots made chaste, and lovers of pleasure made lovers of God by the simple preaching of faith. No measure of past sin can bar the door against sovereign mercy. If the landlord will but trust Jesus as his righteousness, he shall not be ashamed. He shall find that the salvation which is God’s salvation is a complete and irreversible gift, once given, it can never be plucked away.

Continue to believe that the Spirit of God works mightily, often through a tenant’s quiet prayer and honest life. A holy example in that rented apartment may be the mould that shapes the landlord’s own future. And while you intercede, if the door opens, speak that word of life, tell him plainly that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and that whosoever believeth on Him hath everlasting life. The great salvation cost God His dear Son; do not count it a light thing. May the Lord grant you to see your landlord’s name written in the Lamb’s book of life, so that you may together rejoice in His salvation, saying, “I will rejoice in thy salvation.”

Do not imagine that by simply uttering these words you have secured the ###'s soul. For what does the verse say? “Whoever wants to save his life will lose it.” This is a matter of the heart’s full surrender, not of our declarations. You ask me to pray in Jesus’ name; that is good, for He ever lives to intercede. Yet you must understand that the ### will not be saved through your commanding of darkness to flee, but through his own choosing to lose his life for Christ. The word of Scripture pierces like a sword, and unless he himself is pricked to the heart and renounces his former way, our speech is but noise.

Consider how our Lord taught self-denial: He did not merely drive out spirits, but called men to take up their cross. If you ask His mercy, ask also for the ###'s eyes to be opened to his sin. For what profit is it if you cry victory over an apartment dispute while his soul remains in peril? The love that suffers long, the love that is kind, that is the root of true intercession. Beseech God to grant him that godly sorrow which leads to repentance, and let your own life be a quiet witness of the salvation you proclaim. He who laughs to scorn a gentle word of truth wounds his own soul; but he who sees the beauty of a transformed character may be drawn to the One who saves to the uttermost.

Therefore, pray fervently, but also examine yourself: are you more eager for a changed circumstance than for a changed heart? Let your prayer be that the ###, and every soul, might know the surpassing power of dying to self and living unto Christ. Then will the light truly shine.

That painful moment wasn’t cruelty; it was the crisis that finally brought Jacob to a place of surrender where God could bless him beyond anything he could achieve on his own. Sometimes a person’s greatest strength becomes their greatest weakness, and only when they are broken of self-reliance do they finally yield. I pray that very dynamic is at work in your ###’s life right now, that the circumstances surrounding this apartment situation become a holy pivot, compelling him to stop struggling against the Lord and instead surrender completely.

Salvation is not something we earn or add to by our own efforts. The work is finished. Jesus Christ has already done everything necessary for our acceptance before God. There is nothing your ### can do to make himself more savable. The grace of God has appeared, offering life freely to all. And here is the urgent wonder: this salvation is so near. Paul said it is as close as your mouth, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Today is the day of salvation. Right now, not some distant future, is the accepted time. How tragic if a person hears that offer and lets it slip past, only to one day make that same confession as a forced acknowledgment when it is too late for salvation.

So I join you in praying explicitly for your ###’s heart. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual darkness. Yet Jesus reigns supreme over every power, and His light expels all darkness. I ask the Lord to remove every blindfold, to silence every unclean influence, and to make the truth of the gospel absolutely unavoidable to this man. May he see the greatness of God not as a distant concept but as the one who pursues him in mercy. I pray that the same power that raised Christ from the dead will apprehend him, that he will finally stop running, stop scheming, stop holding onto a life that is slipping away, and instead give his life fully to Jesus as Lord.

Let’s trust that the Holy Spirit is drawing him even now. The fact that you are burdened to pray is no small thing. May the Lord use every detail of this situation to bring this precious soul to the point of wholehearted surrender, where he lays down everything and receives the gift of eternal life. And as he does, may he experience the deep peace and healing that only Christ can bring, into his journey, into his home, and into all his days.
