Light up the world

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

We stand together in agreement, lifting this landlord before the throne of grace, praying that the light of Christ would pierce the darkness in his life. The Scripture you referenced, Luke 9:24, is a powerful reminder that true life is found only in surrender to Jesus. "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it." This is not merely a call to sacrifice but an invitation to the fullness of life that comes from knowing Christ. We pray that this landlord would come to understand this truth, that his heart would be softened, and that he would lay down his own will to take up the cross of Christ.

The Word declares in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them." We take authority over every spiritual blindness in this man’s life, rebuking the enemy’s lies that have kept him from seeing the truth of the Gospel. We declare that the eyes of his heart would be enlightened, that he would see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, and that the scales would fall away so he may turn to the Lord.

We also recognize that this situation with the rented apartment may be a point of contention or stress, but we trust that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him. Romans 8:28 assures us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." We pray that this circumstance would not only be resolved in a way that honors God but that it would also serve as a divine appointment for this landlord to encounter the love and power of Jesus.

Father, we ask that You would move mightily in this man’s life. Let Your Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment, as Jesus promised in John 16:8. We pray that he would not resist Your drawing but would respond with a repentant heart. Soften his heart, Lord, and let him experience the depth of Your love, which is greater than any darkness he may be facing. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment will be condemned, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

We also pray for wisdom and grace in how we, as believers, interact with this landlord. Let our words and actions be seasoned with salt, that we may know how to answer each one (Colossians 4:6). May we be a living testimony of Christ’s love and truth, reflecting His light in every conversation and decision.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ. We trust that You are at work even when we cannot see it, and we rest in the promise that Your Word will not return void but will accomplish what You desire (Isaiah 55:11). We ask that You would break every chain of darkness in this landlord’s life and fill him with the light of Your presence. May he come to know You as Savior and Lord, and may his life be transformed by the power of the Gospel.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that nothing is impossible for You. We declare that this landlord will not lose his life but will find it in Christ, and that through him, many others may come to know Your saving grace. Amen.

We are holding your landlord before the Lord with you, asking that the words of Luke 9:24 become his reality, that he would truly lose his life for Jesus and so find it forever. It is a deep and courageous prayer you are offering.

One thing we have learned is that not all turning toward faith is the same. A person can make an outward profession without the inner transformation that Jesus described, the kind where the whole direction of a life changes. So as we pray, we are asking for that real, inward surrender: the moment the heart stops managing its own path and rests fully in Christ’s hands. That is the only rescue from losing everything that ultimately matters.

In the meantime, your steady, quiet witness in that rented apartment can be a living invitation. Simple kindnesses, patience when things are hard, a gentle refusal to repay wrong with wrong, these can soften soil that words alone may not reach.

We pray with you now:

Lord Jesus, you came to seek and to save the lost. We lift up this landlord to you. Break through every wall of resistance and self-reliance. Grant the gift of true repentance, not just regret, but a turning of the whole person toward you. Let him lose his old life of independence and proudly saving himself, and find the life that is hidden in you. Surround him with people and circumstances that make your love unmistakable. And give your praying child here peace while waiting, trusting your timing and your tender power. Amen.

What is man's lease upon this life? It is but a slender thread, and the great Landlord of souls may call for a reckoning at any hour. Your prayer lays hold upon the very heart of the Gospel: he who clutches at the shadow of a self-spared life shall lose it, but he who loses his life for Christ's sake shall find it unto life eternal. This is no mere verse to be posted upon a doorpost, it is the law of the kingdom. The landlord you name is, like every child of Adam, a tenant at will in a house not his own, and there is no setting of that house in order until the whole man is in Christ. For Christ alone is our life; He has borne the penal sentence, and by His rising again He declares the absolution of all who trust Him. There is no other name under heaven whereby a soul may be saved. Look unto Him, then, and be saved, all the ends of the earth!

You ask that this man may give his life to our Lord Jesus, and well you ask it, for it is the one necessary thing. Yet let him not imagine that he may barter a little outward morality or a respectable nod toward religion. No, he must part with his own righteousness as filthy rags, and with his own will as an accursed thing, and fall helpless into the arms of the Crucified. That is the losing which is saving, the dying which is life indeed. Christ is the Tree of Life, yielding fruit every month, and its leaves are for the healing of the nations, wide enough for such a one, free enough for the vilest, if he will but stretch out a trembling hand. Nor does Christ give a two-penny salvation that withers in a week; He gives eternal life, and His sheep shall never perish, for He lives for ever as their surety. Because He lives, they shall live also.

As for the apartment and every dark shadow that seems to brood over it, we declare no victory in our own strength, but we wave the blood-stained banner of a risen Captain. The light of Christ expels all darkness, for He is God’s salvation, and no unclean thing can stand before Him. Only see that you who pray are yourself walking in that light. Is your own house in order? Is Christ your life, not merely a creed, but the very pulse of your soul? The battle of life is daily, and the worst enemy lurks within these breasts, but a Christ-filled life is a reflex of His image, a continual looking unto Him. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall all these lesser trials dissolve like mist. Until that day, let him that is athirst come and take the water of life freely. Shake the Tree of Life until its mercy drops into your lap, and be not content until this landlord, and all within your sphere, have joined the bride in saying, “Come.”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There’s no room for hatred, bitterness, or prejudice in the heart of a child of God. God wants our love to be honest and without hypocrisy. That’s the kind of love that changes lives and changes the world.

Jesus didn’t call the world to go to church; He called the church to go to the whole world.

You desire that your ### would lose his life for Christ’s sake and so find it, and you ground this request upon Luke 9:24. This is a holy petition. Our Lord Himself said, “He that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.” But we must be careful not to think that a mere verbal confession is enough. For He also declared, “Not everyone that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.” True faith must be proven by a life of self-denial and obedience. The word of the Cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Pray therefore that your ### would not only profess Christ with his lips but would also embrace the cross in his daily conduct, hating his old life and following the Master.

Do not neglect the witness of your own conduct. Love is a great teacher, able to reform the character and lead men by the hand unto self-denial. As the Apostle said, “These things I endure for the elect’s sakes, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” Bear whatever difficulties this situation brings with long-suffering, not for your own comfort, but for the sake of his soul. Let your light so shine that he may glorify your Father in heaven.

Let us now call upon the Lord together: O Lord Jesus, you who reign over all darkness and whose light dispels every unclean thing, we lift up this ### to you. In your great mercy grant him the gift of true repentance. Strip away every thought that clings to his life apart from you, and teach him to lose himself for your sake. We ask not merely that he escape wrath, but that he would taste and see that your flesh is true food and your blood true drink, having eternal life abiding in him. By your mighty power break down every wall of resistance, and bring him to a living faith that works by love. May his whole life declare that no one can withstand your strength, and may all who see give glory to your great and saving Name. Amen.
