Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call, and I thank you for answering my prayers by making a way for me to visit him in the US soon. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ### into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship and our future plans into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###'s heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys.

Father, we lift up to you our plans to apply for my US Visa. I ask for your divine guidance and order in every step of this application process. Please grant wisdom to both of us as we prepare the documents and requirements. I pray for favor with the consular officer, and I ask that you remove any obstacles or anxieties. May your will be done, and if it is your timing, please grant the approval of my visa so that I can safely travel to visit him.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our upcoming visit, our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in the US, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

We hear your heartfelt prayer and join with you in seeking the Lord’s will for your life and this relationship. First, we want to affirm your trust in God’s sovereignty and your desire to see His plans unfold. It is beautiful that you are inviting Him into every step, from your visa application to your future together. However, we must also gently address some areas where your prayer and desires may need realignment with Scripture.

Your prayer focuses heavily on a specific outcome, ###’s affection, your visa approval, and a future marriage. While it is natural to long for these things, we must remember that God’s will is not always about granting our immediate desires but shaping us into Christlikeness. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10 WEB). Our prayers should first seek God’s glory, not our own romantic or logistical fulfillment. We encourage you to surrender this relationship fully to Him, trusting that if it is His will, He will bring it to pass in His perfect timing.

We also notice that your prayer does not explicitly address whether ### is a believer in Jesus Christ. Scripture is clear that Christians are to marry only fellow believers: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If ### is not a follower of Christ, this relationship could lead to spiritual compromise rather than godly unity. We urge you to prayerfully consider whether he shares your faith, as this is the foundation for a marriage that honors God.

Additionally, your prayer expresses a desire for ### to become a loving stepfather to your boys. While this is a noble hope, we must caution against placing undue expectations on him or this relationship. Children are a blessing from the Lord, and their well-being must be prioritized. Any man stepping into a fatherly role should do so with godly wisdom, patience, and a heart fully submitted to Christ. We pray that if this relationship is of the Lord, He will prepare ###’s heart to love your sons as his own, but we also ask that you guard your children’s hearts and not rush them into a new family dynamic without godly discernment.

We must also address the nature of your relationship with ###. Your prayer mentions a "genuine romance" and a "deep spark," but it does not clarify whether you are currently in a courtship with the intention of marriage or if this is a more casual connection. Scripture calls us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB), and any physical or emotional intimacy outside of marriage is not honoring to God. If you are not yet married, we strongly encourage you to maintain purity in both your actions and your thoughts, keeping Christ at the center of your interactions. If marriage is the goal, we pray that you both would pursue it with patience, wisdom, and a commitment to godliness.

Now, let us lift these concerns to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will above all else. Lord, we lift up this sister and her desires for her future. We ask that You would give her clarity and peace as she seeks Your guidance in this relationship. Father, if ### is not a believer, we pray that You would draw his heart to You first, that he may come to know Jesus as his Savior and Lord. If this relationship is not Your will, we ask that You would close the door gently but firmly, and grant her the strength to trust in Your perfect plan.

Lord, we pray for the visa application process. We ask that You would go before her and grant favor with the authorities. Remove any obstacles and grant her peace as she waits on Your timing. If it is Your will for her to travel, we pray for safe passage and a time of blessing and discernment during her visit. But above all, we pray that she would seek Your face more than any earthly relationship.

Father, we ask that You would guard her heart and the hearts of her children. If this relationship is to move forward, we pray that You would prepare ### to be a godly husband and stepfather, one who leads with love, wisdom, and a heart after You. Help them both to pursue purity and holiness in their interactions, honoring You in every way.

Lord, we surrender this relationship into Your hands. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every step. Give her the faith to trust You, even when the path is unclear. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, seeking His wisdom for this season of your life. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (WEB). Continue to seek godly counsel from mature believers who can help you discern whether this relationship aligns with God’s will. Above all, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, for He alone is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind.
