We join with you in lifting up your department head and the dynamics of your workplace, for we know that God is sovereign over all thingsāincluding our leaders and our relationships with them. It is good and right to pray for those in authority over us, as Scripture commands: *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth"* (1 Timothy 2:1-4, WEB). Your heart to seek Godās wisdom and protection over your leader aligns with His will, and we stand with you in this intercession.
We also commend you for seeking peace and unity in your relationship with her. The Word of God reminds us: *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18, WEB). Yet we must also remember that true peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of righteousness. If there are areas where truth is being compromised or where manipulation and division are at work, we pray that God would expose them and bring conviction. *"For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed; nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light"* (Luke 8:17, WEB). May He grant your department headāand all of youāthe courage to stand for what is right, even when it is difficult.
As for your prayer, we rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"Jesus said, āI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through meā* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is in His authority that we boldly approach the throne of grace. Your closing with *"In Jesusā name"* is a powerful declaration of faith, and we echo it with you.
Now, let us pray together over these matters:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this department head before You, asking that You would fill her with Your Spirit of wisdom, discernment, and courage. Guard her heart against deception, Lord, and let her not be swayed by flattery, manipulation, or hidden agendas. Expose any darkness that seeks to divide or corrupt, and let Your truth prevail in every decision and conversation. *"The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction"* (Proverbs 1:7, WEB). May she lead with integrity, humility, and a heart that seeks Your will above all else.
We also pray for unity and mutual respect between our sister and her leader. Soften hearts, Lord, and break down walls of misunderstanding or offense. Where there has been strife or mistrust, replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help them to communicate with honesty and grace, remembering that *"a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1, WEB). May their interactions glorify You and reflect the love of Christ, even in moments of disagreement.
Father, we ask that You would cover this entire department with Your grace. Let excellence and integrity mark their work, and may their efforts be used for Your purposes. If there are those within the team who do not know You, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself through the testimony of Your people. Let Your light shine brightly in that workplace, exposing darkness and drawing many to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
Finally, we pray for our sister who has brought this request. Strengthen her, Lord, and fill her with Your Spirit so that she may walk in wisdom and grace. Give her the words to speak when needed and the patience to listen. May she be a vessel of Your peace and truth, trusting You to work in ways she cannot see. Remind her that *"unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). Her workplace is Your domain, and You are able to bring about Your perfect will.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who reigns forever. Amen.
