Dear Loving Heavenly Father, I need You. I do not know what to do. I feel like a failure. I met with the neighbor who is allegedly claiming rights on our lots (even on documents they do not have any right anymore) early Aug, i was to give her the price for her to sell the lots (she will mark it up) and with that price a condition to oust their tenant who is occupying our lots illegally. yet when i told her the price she will agree to the said price which do not include the ousting. i was frozen and thought that it may be better if it is not included since at that time i was thiking since this would make us be independent on ousting them but a dilemma also came across right after since i may have given her the wrong price since the ousting should have been included since the price i gave her is low already. now she contacted me and want to make a document for the authority to sell for her prospective buyers, the margin that she put in is very high which she will be taking if the sale did push through. so now i am quite regretting since the price i gave her is low plus the ousting should have been included, and that she may have taken advantage of me again. Lord, please help me overcome this if this is greed or not, also overcome this regret. please help me accept and also let go if this is Your will. Lord, i also pray that You will help and lead us in ousting the illegal settlers completely. Lord, i am sorry for all sins. also, Lord, i feel so low since i feel i do not know how to manage my finances. Lord please help live a life according to Your will and not be dazzled with life's glamour and material wealth. i want to be with You and be more like You. please teach me how to listen to Your voice thru the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." You are not a failure for seeking God’s direction, even in the midst of uncertainty. The enemy would love to keep you trapped in regret and self-condemnation, but Scripture reminds us in Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."

Your concern about greed and the neighbor’s potential advantage is valid. The Bible warns us in 1 Timothy 6:9-10, "But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." It’s clear you don’t want to be driven by greed or materialism, and that is a godly posture. However, we must also examine whether fear or people-pleasing influenced your decisions. Did you feel pressured to agree to terms that weren’t wise? Proverbs 29:25 says, "The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe." God calls us to walk in wisdom, not fear, and to seek His counsel above all else.

Now, regarding the legal and financial aspects of this land dispute, we encourage you to seek godly counsel. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Have you consulted with a Christian lawyer or someone knowledgeable in property law who can help you navigate this situation with integrity? The enemy would love to see this situation drag on, causing strife and division, but God desires justice and peace. Pray for wisdom in how to proceed, and ask God to expose any unrighteousness or deception in this matter. Psalm 37:5-6 reminds us, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."

We also want to address your feelings of inadequacy in managing finances. Financial stewardship is a critical area where many believers struggle, but God is faithful to teach and guide us. In Matthew 6:24, Jesus says, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon." Your desire to live for God and not be dazzled by material wealth is a beautiful reflection of a heart surrendered to Him. Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up this situation with the land, the neighbor, and the weight of regret they carry. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom to flood their mind and heart. Show them the next steps to take, whether it’s seeking legal counsel, renegotiating terms, or trusting You to handle the injustice. Father, we rebuke the spirit of regret and self-condemnation that seeks to keep them bound. Your Word says there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, so we declare freedom over them now. Help them to release this burden into Your hands and trust You to work all things together for good.

Lord, we pray for justice in this land dispute. Expose any deception or unrighteousness, and give our brother/sister favor in the eyes of those who can help resolve this matter. We ask that You would remove the illegal settlers from the property and restore what rightfully belongs to them. Father, we also pray for their finances. Teach them to steward what You’ve entrusted to them with wisdom and integrity. Break any strongholds of materialism or greed in their life, and help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You would speak clearly to our brother/sister. Open their ears to hear Your voice and their heart to obey. Help them to discern Your will in every decision, big or small. Father, we also pray for their spiritual growth. Draw them closer to You, and mold them into the image of Christ. Help them to walk in humility, wisdom, and dependence on You.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has redeemed us and given us access to the Father. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and love. We trust You to lead, guide, and provide. Amen.

Your honest pouring out of heart before the Lord has been heard, and it is no small mercy that you have been brought to feel your need of Him and to confess that you know not what to do. That sense of failure and lowness which now presses upon you may, by divine grace, become the very place where wisdom begins, for wisdom is not found in our own sufficiency but in trusting the Lord and submitting to His good pleasure.

There is a natural regret in what you describe, and it is not to be wondered at that you feel it. You gave a price in haste, you were frozen in the moment, and now you fear you were taken advantage of and that you acted without full prudence concerning the ousting of those who occupy what is yours. Haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life, and many a trouble grows from a hurried word. Yet regret is of use only when it marks a turn. If a man has neglected his business and says, I wish I had been more industrious, but abides in the same sloth, of what use is his regret. Let your regret therefore lead you to a more careful stewardship for the time to come. In the things of God as well as between man and man, short reckonings make long friends, and it is good to go often to your Master with your service and present it to Him, overhauling it under His divine guidance, confessing shortcomings and blessing Him for every particle of success. Nothing you have is your own, it is all your Master's, and He would have you be found faithful. That faithfulness is not craft or policy, but honest dealing, clear reckoning, and a willingness to seek wise and lawful counsel before you set your hand to any document of authority to sell.

You ask whether this is greed or simply sorrow over loss, and whether you should let go if it be the Lord's will. This is the very point of unconditional surrender. If all the good we have has been given to us freely by divine favor, in what can we glory. Can you as a true child make a complete surrender to your Father's good pleasure, even concerning these lots and this price and this difficult neighbor. I know some of God's children who are in great trouble only because they will not yield to the divine will. Grace dethrones obstinacy and gives in its place acquiescence in the divine will, and by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance. Bring the whole matter, the price, the margin she would take, the question of the illegal occupants, and your own finances, and lay them before the Lord, saying, Not my will but Thine be done. Recognize His hand in everything, for there is no attribute more comforting to His children than divine sovereignty. He sees the claim that has no right, He sees the tenant who remains without law, and He is able to make interpositions for deliverance from floods of trouble. He has delivered many, not always by miracle, but by wonder of providence, and He can make a way for justice to be done in a lawful and peaceable manner.

You desire also to be freed from being dazzled by glamour and material wealth, and to manage your finances according to His will. Remember that holiness is as near akin to perfect wisdom as sin is to insanity, and the price of wisdom is above rubies. Do not measure your life by the margin another may gain or by the lowness of the price you named, but by whether you walk in the path of wisdom which is revealed in His Word. That path is known not by sudden impressions alone, but by great principles infused in the heart that takes God for its guide, chief among them to avoid everything that is evil, to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. If you would learn to listen to the Holy Spirit, know that half a word from the divine Spirit, the very gentlest motion from Him, should be enough guidance to a willing heart, and that motion will never contradict the Scriptures. Give yourself to the Word, to prayer, to waiting upon the Lord, and to the counsel of godly and prudent advisers who can help you with documents and legal rights, so that you act not in frozen haste but in clear light.

Therefore, do not remain alone with this burden. Seek godly counsel and competent help regarding the title and the proper legal process for the occupants, commit no paper under pressure, and ask the Lord to give you a calm and sober mind. Confess to Him any mixture of covetousness or fear of man that you discern, and thank Him that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin. Then rest in this, that He who began a good work in you will guide you with His counsel and afterward receive you to glory.

Let us pray together. O Lord, Thou knowest this Thy servant who feels low and perplexed, and Thou hast seen every dealing concerning these lots. Forgive all sin through the precious blood of Jesus, deliver from greed and from regret that would consume the heart, and grant complete surrender to Thy sovereign and loving will. Give wisdom above rubies, teach faithful stewardship of all Thou hast entrusted, and guide by Thy Spirit through Thy Word, that every step may be ordered in holiness and peace. In lawful ways, bring justice concerning that which is wrongfully occupied, restrain what is unjust, and keep this soul from the love of money and the glitter of this world, that he may live according to Thy will and be made more like Christ. We ask this in the name of Jesus our only hope, Amen.
