Jesus, thank You for Your amazing life, teachings and sacrificial death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and sending forth The Holy Spirit, our counselor, advocate, intercessor, and bearer of good gifts, 1 Cor 12:4-8. Thank You Your sheep hear Your voice, John 10:27, and will never follow a stranger, John 10:5. We NEED to hear Your voice of direction -- It is written, "as many as are LED by the HOLY SPIRIT are the children of God," Rom 8:14. We ask to be FILLED with the knowledge of Your Will in all spiritual wisdom so we can walk worthy, Col 1:9-10. We ask for generous amounts of practical WISDOM, James 1:5, we cry out for wisdom and lift our voice for UNDERSTANDING, Prov 2:6-7. So with confidence we seek YOU for You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, Heb 11:6. With thanksgiving we offer our requests for Your voice, leading and wisdom -- let "now" the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. Thank You for protecting us and praying for us, keeping us from the evil one, Rom 8:34, Heb 7:25, Jn 17:15. We shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace, Isa 55:12, thank You for hearing when we ask, for in hearing, we have, 1 John 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name, amen.

We join you wholeheartedly in this beautiful prayer for the Shepherd's voice and the leading of the Holy Spirit, and we thank God for your faith-filled request that so honors Jesus Christ and His finished work.

We agree with you that Jesus is our Good Shepherd and that His sheep hear His voice. It is such a comfort that He not only laid down His life for us and was raised and ascended, but that He sent the Holy Spirit to be our counselor and advocate. As you prayed, we cling to the promise in John 10:27, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and in John 10:5, a stranger they will not follow. We may have confidence that as children of God we can be led, for Rom 8:14 says, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.

We also join you in asking to be filled with the knowledge of His will. We pray together as in Col 1:9 that we may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects. And we ask with you for wisdom, believing the promise in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We know that Prov 2:6 tells us, For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding, and He stores up sound wisdom for the upright.

We are encouraged by your faith to seek Him diligently, for Heb 11:6 reminds us, Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. We seek Him together with thanksgiving, trusting Phil 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now for that leading and peace to be manifest in our lives today.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace with thanksgiving. Thank You for the cross, the burial, the resurrection, and the ascension of Jesus, and for the gift of the Holy Spirit. We ask You to open our ears to hear the Shepherd's voice clearly and to give us discernment to not follow the voice of a stranger. Lead us by Your Spirit in every decision, small and great. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so that we may walk worthy and bear fruit. Grant us generous wisdom liberally as You have promised, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We thank You that Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us as Heb 7:25 says, and that You keep us from the evil one as Jesus prayed in John 17:15. We receive Your promise that we shall go out with joy and be led out with peace as Isa 55:12 declares, and we thank You that when we ask according to Your will You hear us as 1 John 5:14-15 assures us. Guide our steps, make Your way plain before us, and let us follow You in faithful obedience, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in the Word and in prayer, for the Spirit never leads contrary to Scripture. As you diligently seek Him, trust that He will direct your paths as Prov 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And remember Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Keep listening, keep asking, and His peace will be the umpire of your heart.

We hear how deeply you want to walk close enough to hear the Shepherd's voice and be led with peace. Thank you for sharing that beautiful prayer with us. It is a good and faithful thing to ask for wisdom and to want to be led by the Holy Spirit in everyday life.

We have found that guidance often comes less as a loud answer and more as a quiet, steady nudge over time. The Holy Spirit is our Counselor and Helper, present with us, teaching us truth and forming Christlike character in us. He does not pull against what God has already said, and His leading often brings that guarded peace you prayed for, even while we are still waiting for full clarity.

One simple practice that helps many who are seeking direction is to give that seeking a quiet, unhurried space each day. Choose the one decision or area weighing on you most right now, bring it before the Lord with thanksgiving, and then sit a few minutes without trying to solve it. Listen, read Scripture slowly, and notice what aligns with truth and brings settled peace. Over days that pattern often makes His wisdom clearer than a single moment would.

We are joining you in this asking.

Father, we thank You for Your nearness and for the gift of Your Holy Spirit to counsel and comfort us. Fill our friend with wisdom for each step ahead, guard their heart and mind with Your peace, and keep them close to You and safe from the evil one. Lead them out with joy and forward with peace as they seek You diligently. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing to hear the Shepherd's voice is itself an evidence of grace, for His sheep do hear His voice and they will not follow a stranger. It is a blessed thing to put your ear down to the promises of Scripture till you hear God speaking through them to your soul, for the mere letter of the Word alone will kill, but when we hear God's voice speaking in it, then it has power which it could not possess otherwise.

You have asked well, according to the Scriptures, that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom, and that you may receive generously that wisdom which God gives to them that ask Him. Remember that the infinite God has thoughts of peace towards you. His thoughts toward His people are always thoughts of peace, for He is at peace with them through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. He seeks their peace, He creates their peace, He sustains their peace. And if your will is brought to delight in God's will, then the fangs of the serpent are extracted and the sorrow is sucked out of the sorrow by the lips of acquiescence.

Take heed how you hear, for faith comes by hearing and it is while you are hearing the Gospel that you are led to believe it. The Word deserves good hearing, for it comes from God and it is about Him who died for sinners. Do not hear carelessly or fitfully, but constantly, attentively and earnestly, with the prayer that the Holy Spirit who is our Counselor and Advocate would lead you, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the children of God.

And concerning that peace for which you pray, know that the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. The conscience when enlightened forbids peace as long as sin remains, but the atoning blood answers its verdict. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Great peace have they which love Your law, not peace with the world, for strife may rage all around, but great restfulness of intellect and great peace as to our desires when the heart is stayed upon Christ and delights in His Word. With thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God, and the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, so that you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace.

Let us pray together. O Lord our Shepherd, we thank You for Your life and teaching and for Your sacrificial death and resurrection, and for sending forth the Holy Spirit. Cause this soul to hear Your majestic and commanding voice above every other voice, to be led by Your Spirit in the path of Your will, to be filled with spiritual wisdom and understanding that they may walk worthy of You. Grant generous wisdom to one who asks in faith, reward the diligent seeker, and guard heart and mind with Your perfect peace as the mind is stayed on Christ. Keep this one from the evil one, for You ever live to intercede, and fulfil Your thoughts of peace toward them to give an expected end. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
