Lazy workers

Anonymous

Beloved of All
We have a new manager and just asking for prayer that they catch on to the lazy workers. Theyre always on their phone and make it harder for rest of us. They know to work well when manager is there. Please pray for discernment for the manager and true colours to show. Truth comes to light. In Jesus name amen.

We join with you in prayer for this situation in the workplace and we understand the frustration and added burden when others do not carry their share of the work. We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and it is in His name our prayers are heard, as it is written John 14:6 and Acts 4:12.

The Word calls us to work with diligence and integrity even when no one is watching. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty Proverbs 14:23, and He also who is slack in his work is brother to him who is a destroyer Proverbs 18:9. Laziness not only harms the work itself but places an unjust burden on fellow workers, and Scripture warns us that if anyone will not work, neither let him eat 2 Thessalonians 3:10. At the same time we are called to guard our own hearts against resentment and bitterness and to not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up Galatians 6:9.

We also take comfort that truth is not hidden forever from the Lord, for nothing is hidden, that will not be revealed, nor anything secret, that will not be known and come to light Luke 8:17 and your sin will find you out Numbers 32:23. We do not need to scheme to expose others, but we can trust God to reveal what needs to be revealed in His time and to give wisdom to those in authority. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.

We pray together for you, for your coworkers, and for your new manager.

Father in heaven, we lift up this workplace to You in the name of Jesus. We ask that You grant the new manager clear discernment, wisdom, and understanding to see the true work habits of each employee, even when some try to appear diligent only when being watched. Let truth come to light in a way that brings conviction and not just shame. We pray for those coworkers who are being lazy and distracted by their phones, that You would convict their hearts, turn them from slothfulness, and help them to labor with honesty and faithfulness as unto You. Help them to redeem the time and to do good work with their own hands Ephesians 4:28. For our brother or sister who has brought this request, we ask that You guard their heart from anger and gossip, help them to continue to be an example of faithful service, to show grace and to speak truth in love, and to entrust justice to You. Let peace and fairness be restored in that workplace and let Your name be honored in how all work is done. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to do your work faithfully as a witness for Christ, to pray for your coworkers rather than only about them, and to be patient as the new manager learns the dynamics of the team. Trust that God sees your diligence and He will honor it, and continue to commit this matter to Him in prayer.

We hear how tiring this has been for you, carrying extra weight while others seem to coast and only step up when the manager is watching. It makes sense you would feel worn down and long for things to be seen clearly and handled fairly.

It is good you are praying for your new manager instead of letting frustration settle into bitterness. A new leader often needs time to learn the rhythms of the team and to notice patterns for themselves, and that waiting period can feel especially long when you are the one picking up the slack.

One steady step that helps in this kind of situation is to keep your focus on what you can control. Continue to do your own work faithfully, keep a simple private note of what you have completed if that helps you stay clear, and if you need to speak to the manager, talk about the workload itself rather than about coworkers personally. That keeps the conversation constructive and gives the manager space to observe and lead without feeling pressured, and it helps protect unity on the team.

We are praying with you for a healthier balance there and for peace for you in the meantime.

Father, we lift up this workplace to You and ask You to give the new manager wisdom and clear eyes as they get to know the team. Strengthen our friend who has been working hard under this strain, guard their heart from resentment, and work in each person toward honesty and diligence. Let what is true come to light in Your timing and bring a better spirit to the whole team. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing this workplace burden before the Lord, and we thank you for desiring that truth and diligence would prevail rather than seeking to tear others down.

We pray that the Lord, who is a God of truth and who sees all things in secret, will grant your new manager clear discernment and wisdom beyond mere appearances. As it is written, nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, and we ask that what is done when no eye seems to watch would be brought to light in His perfect timing and in a way that is just and gracious. May the manager be given understanding to lead with fairness, to encourage what is good and to correct what is not, for the good of all entrusted to their care.

We also pray for those coworkers of whom you speak. May the Lord work in their hearts to turn from lethargy and half hearted service, and to remember that whatever we do, we are to work heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men. Slothfulness is no small matter before God, and we ask that He would grant them a desire for honest, faithful labor and for integrity whether watched or unwatched.

And we pray for you, that you may be kept from a spirit of resentment or gossip, and be strengthened to be an example of steady, quiet faithfulness. May you speak the truth in love when it is right to speak, and commit the matter to God in prayer when it is right to be silent, trusting Him to establish justice. May your own work be a testimony to the transforming power of the gospel, showing that the truth of God lived out in the life has power.

Father, we ask for peace and unity in this workplace, for diligence to replace idleness, and for truth to be loved and lived by all. Grant wisdom to those in authority and grace to all to do what is right before You. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is Himself the Truth. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. It is right to bring workplace frustrations to the Lord instead of letting them turn into bitterness or gossip, and God sees both your diligence and the difficulty you are facing.

I join you in praying for your new manager, that God would grant clear discernment and wisdom to lead well. Praying that what is done in private will be made known in a proper and orderly way, and that truth will come to light without strife or deception. Praying also that those who have been lazy or distracted would be convicted to work with integrity, not only when eyes are on them but as unto the Lord.

At the same time I encourage you to continue to set an example of faithful, quiet diligence. Scripture says whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that your reward comes from Him. When others cut corners it can feel discouraging, but your steady honesty is a testimony in itself and it protects your own heart from resentment.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, you see every heart and every deed. Grant this new manager wisdom and discernment to lead with fairness and clarity. Let truth be revealed in love and let order be restored in this workplace. Soften the hearts of those who have been negligent, that they may choose responsibility and respect for others. Guard the one who has prayed here from anger and weariness, and help them to work with grace, patience and strength. May your will be done and may peace and diligence increase there. In Jesus name, amen.
