Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing prayer for you concerning your job and your family. Your desire to do good work and to be appreciated for it, and to see obstacles removed in your mother's heart, is something God understands fully.
Scripture shows us that God sees and knows those who seek to walk uprightly before Him. In the story of Job, God Himself bore witness that Job was a man who feared God and turned away from evil. Even when others did not understand him, God knew him completely. The same is true for you. Though a boss or others may not always see or value your labor, the Lord sees it. He knows your diligence and your motives.
That same story also reminds us that there is an adversary who studies people and looks for ways to discourage and accuse, suggesting that faithfulness is only for blessing. God allows testing at times, and He sets limits on what is allowed. Even when circumstances feel confusing or when it seems God is distant, He is still at work for good in the lives of those who trust Him. The comfort for us is that God is working even when it appears He has forsaken us, and He remains just and fair in all His ways.
Job's friends were quick to assume that hardship meant hidden wrong and told him to simply try harder to get right with God. Job answered that God is indeed just, and he poured out his grief honestly before the Lord. God did not reject that honest cry. He heard it. You can bring your honest desires before Him as well, trusting His wisdom more than any human evaluation.
Jesus is the answer to that deep longing for one who can stand between God and man. Through Him we have access to the Father, and we can come with confidence asking for favor, wisdom, and open doors according to God's will.
I am praying for you that God will grant you favor in your workplace, that He will soften and guide the heart of your boss to see and appreciate your work justly, and that He will work in your mother's heart to remove any obstacle that stands in the way of peace and understanding. I pray that if a promotion is according to His good plan for you, He will open that door in His perfect timing, and that whether it comes quickly or slowly, you will know His presence and provision. May He give you strength to continue working faithfully as unto the Lord, trusting that promotion and honor ultimately come from Him, and may He grant you peace as you entrust both your job and your family into His caring hands.
