We have received your request and we are joining you in prayer for your sister in this time of great suffering. To hear that she is in intensive care with kidney failure, poor blood flow in both legs, serious infection in both feet, unable to walk or stand and in excruciating pain is heartbreaking, and it is completely understandable that this weighs so heavily on you as her sister. God sees both her bodily anguish and the emotional burden you are carrying as you love her through this.
We are praying to the Lord Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer, for mercy upon her. We ask Him to lay His hand upon her kidneys and her whole body, to guide the doctors and nurses with wisdom, to fight the infection, to restore circulation, and to ease her pain. We pray that He will grant her strength and comfort in the intensive care unit, and that she will know His nearness, for He is close to the brokenhearted and He does not overlook those who suffer. We also lift you up, that God will sustain you, give you peace that passes understanding, and uphold you with His strength as you walk beside her in love.
In times of sharp and overwhelming pain, words of comfort can feel small, but the compassion of Christ is not small. He bore our infirmities and He knows our affliction. We pray that both you and your sister will be drawn ever closer to Him, trusting in His grace and His power to save and to heal according to His perfect will. May the Lord grant you both His presence, His comfort, and His hope day by day.
