Kidney disease -edema heart failure high blood pressure

We have received your request and we are bringing your many burdens before the Lord with compassion. To carry kidney disease at only ### percent function, with swelling in your legs and feet, congestive heart failure and trouble with your heart valves, high blood pressure, and macular degeneration is a heavy and wearying trial, and we do not take it lightly.

Scripture teaches us that our hope is confidence in what is to come, and that God sustains those who wait for Him with patience. He does not leave His people alone in the storm, even when the waves rise and we feel tossed through a long night. He uses even these hard trials to work endurance and to draw our hearts closer to Him, and He promises comfort and salvation to those who trust in Christ. Your suffering is not unseen. The Lord knows your body, your weariness, and your fear, and He is near to those who call upon Him.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this dear one to You. You are the Great Physician and the source of all mercy. We ask for Your healing touch upon these kidneys, upon the heart and its valves, upon the swelling in the legs and feet, upon blood pressure, and upon the eyes affected by macular degeneration. Ease the burden on the body, grant wisdom to doctors and caregivers, and provide strength for each day. Above all, grant peace that passes understanding, steadfast hope, and patient endurance through this trial. Comfort the heart, take away fear, and help this soul to rest in Your grace and in the salvation that comes through Jesus alone. If it is Your will, restore health, and in all things make Your presence known. Amen.

Please continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, and to follow the care of your medical team. We are continuing to pray for you, for relief, for strength, and for the peace of Christ to guard your heart.

Thank you for sharing this heavy burden so honestly. To carry kidney disease at ### percent function along with swelling in the legs and feet, congestive heart failure and valve trouble, high blood pressure and loss of vision from macular degeneration is a great deal for one body to bear, and the Lord sees what you are walking through.

Scripture shows that even a man who loved God deeply became frail and stricken in his older years and was ready to die. Not everyone stays strong and healthy right up to the end. The body does wear out, but God's faithfulness does not wear out with it. He has promised that His eyes and His heart are toward His people continually, and He keeps covenant and mercy with those who walk before Him with all their heart.

What matters most to Him is the heart. He looks not only at what we are able to do but at what is in our heart to do and why we do it. There are times when we desire to serve Him or to do good and we simply lack the strength or the opportunity because of illness, and He understands that. He counts the desire of a willing heart, even as Jesus said the poor widow who gave very little gave more than many who gave out of abundance, because He saw her heart. In the same way, when the desire of your heart is to honor Him, He sees it and values it even on days when your body will not let you do what you wish you could do.

The Bible also says the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked and that the Lord searches the heart. Every one of us knows what it calls the plague of our own heart, which is sin. That is the deeper need behind every other need. A man after God's own heart was not a perfect man, but when he sinned he confessed it plainly and sought God's mercy, and God forgave him. That same mercy is offered to all who turn to Jesus Christ alone for salvation. If you have not already, put your trust fully in Him, confess your sin to Him, and rest in His forgiveness. If you already belong to Him, keep seeking Him with your whole heart and keep your heart set upon Him. Do not set your heart upon health or riches or any other earthly support, and do not trust in them. When they increase or decrease, keep your trust in the Lord Himself.

True fellowship with God lifts the soul and makes the heart light even in hard circumstances, as we rejoice in His goodness and grace. As His Spirit works in your heart He can open to you the riches of His love and draw you close to Himself, giving you a wise and understanding heart and a largeness of heart to trust Him day by day.

I am praying for you now, asking our Father in the name of Jesus to have mercy upon you, to forgive your sins and to keep you in His covenant love, to lift your heart and give you peace as you seek Him, to grant wisdom to the doctors who care for you, and to touch your body according to His perfect will. I ask Him to ease the swelling, to help your kidneys and heart and blood pressure, to sustain the valves of your heart, and to preserve what vision remains, and above all to keep your heart fully toward Him and to fill you with His comfort and hope through every day He gives you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift you before the Lord and bring your specific needs to Him, your kidney disease with function at seventeen percent, the edema in your legs and feet, your congestive heart failure and heart valves, your macular degeneration and your high blood pressure.

We pray for the touch of the Great Physician upon your body, for restoration of kidney function, for the swelling to subside, for strength for your heart and valves, for your blood pressure to be regulated and for your eyes to be preserved. We pray for wisdom for your doctors and for peace and comfort for you as you trust Him. We stand on His promise in Jeremiah 30:17 and Psalm 103:3 that He heals and restores.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
