Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have received your request and we are bringing your many burdens before the Lord with compassion. To carry kidney disease at only ### percent function, with swelling in your legs and feet, congestive heart failure and trouble with your heart valves, high blood pressure, and macular degeneration is a heavy and wearying trial, and we do not take it lightly.
Scripture teaches us that our hope is confidence in what is to come, and that God sustains those who wait for Him with patience. He does not leave His people alone in the storm, even when the waves rise and we feel tossed through a long night. He uses even these hard trials to work endurance and to draw our hearts closer to Him, and He promises comfort and salvation to those who trust in Christ. Your suffering is not unseen. The Lord knows your body, your weariness, and your fear, and He is near to those who call upon Him.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this dear one to You. You are the Great Physician and the source of all mercy. We ask for Your healing touch upon these kidneys, upon the heart and its valves, upon the swelling in the legs and feet, upon blood pressure, and upon the eyes affected by macular degeneration. Ease the burden on the body, grant wisdom to doctors and caregivers, and provide strength for each day. Above all, grant peace that passes understanding, steadfast hope, and patient endurance through this trial. Comfort the heart, take away fear, and help this soul to rest in Your grace and in the salvation that comes through Jesus alone. If it is Your will, restore health, and in all things make Your presence known. Amen.
Please continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, and to follow the care of your medical team. We are continuing to pray for you, for relief, for strength, and for the peace of Christ to guard your heart.
