We specifically ask for protection from deception and lies, Matt 24:4-8, John 8:44, Rev 12:9, from greed, Lk 12:15, Heb 13:5, Mal 3:10-11, and may You perform it by granting contentment, 1 Tim 6:6-9, Phil 4:11-13. Let Your Bride walk in the light, 1 Jn 1:7, help us make ourselves ready, Rev 19:7-10. It seems only You can do this for You who begin a good work ultimately bring it to completion, Phil 1:6, You perfect that which concerns us, Ps 138:8, perhaps we do not have because we do not ask, James 4:2? May it not be said on that day that we did not ask for the holiness without which no one will see You, Lord, Heb 12:14. Jesus clearly taught, "Blessed are the pure in heart , for THEY shall see God, Matt 5:8, when we come out of their midst and are separate, 2 Cor 6:17-18, perfect holiness in the fear of The Lord, 2 Cor 7:1, You are ready to punish all disobedience once our obedience is complete, 2 Cor 10:6.

Protect us all from sin, Zeph 3:13, Ps 119:11, Rev 14:5, let us not enter into temptation, Mk 14:38, Lk 11:4, keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, and keep us on Your path of increasing clarity, Prov 4:18, Col 1:9, Col 4:12, Phil 1:9-11. Keep us especially from false believers, 2 Cor 11:26, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, deceivers, 2 Tim 3:13, 2 Jn 1:7, deception, 2 Thes 2:9-10, 1 John 5:19, by washing us with Christ's water of the water of the Word, Eph 5:26, The Word of Truth, Eph 1:13, 2 Cor 6:7. Sanctify us in Your Truth, Your Word is Truth, John 17:17, James 1:18, 2 Tim 3:16, especially when rightly divided, 2 Tim 2:15, with careful attention to our lives and teaching, 1 Tim 4:16.

Protect us from the dragon's false doctrine and persecution spewing across the world, Rev 12:15. Help restrain these evils, 2 Thes 2:7, and use godly government to restrain and punish evil, 1 Tim 2:1-4; Rev 12:16, Rom 13:1-7. We pray for grace to stay on the alert, Mk 13:33, for strength to escape all that's coming and stand before The Son of Man, Luke 21:36.

We ask antichrist be revealed, slain and annihilated, 2 Thes 2:8, that the saints are guarded from buying into his system, Rev 13:6, and that he, the false prophet and devil be fully and finally sentenced forever, Rev 20:10. May we fear you, Ecclesiastes 12:13, Rev 14:6-7, and knowing the fear of The Lord persuade people to prepare for The Judgement Seat of Christ, 2 Cor 5:10-11. Help us be wise and win souls, Prov 11:30, lead many to righteousness, Dan 12:3, instruct many, Mal 2:5-6, Matt 28:20.

With thanksgiving we offer these requests for ourselves, our family, friends, church-mates, pastors and online praying believer-friends, Heb 10:25, so we have fellowship, 1 Jn 1:2-3, test the spirits, 1 Jn 4:1, walk in light, 1 Jn 1:5-10, that our whole body may be full of light with no dark part in it, Luke 11:36, without hidden sin or deception, 2 Cor 4:2, like the message John heard from You, Jesus, and preached to us, about You being light and in You is no darkness at all, 1 Jn 1:4-10, and may the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, Amen, Rev 3:14, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before You, Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude for Your truth, light, and the salvation found only in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), and we recognize that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for drawing us to Jesus (John 6:44), for the faith that comes from hearing Your Word (Romans 10:17), and for the cleansing power of His blood that washes away all sin (1 John 1:7). We praise You for raising Him from the dead, defeating death, and sending the Holy Spirit to guide, counsel, and empower us (John 16:7-15).

Lord, we lift up our deep concern for the deception that is spreading like a flood in these last days. Jesus warned us that many would come in His name, claiming to be the Christ, and would deceive many (Matthew 24:4-5). The enemy, the father of lies (John 8:44), seeks to distort Your truth, twist Your Word, and lead Your people astray. We ask You to guard our hearts and minds from every form of deception, whether it comes through false teachers, seducing spirits, or the cunning craftiness of those who lie in wait to deceive (Ephesians 4:14). Sanctify us in Your truth; Your Word is truth (John 17:17). May we be diligent students of Scripture, rightly dividing the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15), so that we are not tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine (Ephesians 4:14). Let us test every spirit to see whether it is from You (1 John 4:1), and may we hold fast to what is good, abstaining from every form of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22).

We ask for Your protection from the dragon’s schemes, whose mouth spews water like a flood to sweep us away (Revelation 12:15). Restrain the evil that seeks to overwhelm Your Church, and raise up godly leaders in government to punish evildoers and protect the righteous (Romans 13:1-4). Give us discernment to recognize the spirit of the antichrist, which is already at work in the world (1 John 4:3), and grant us the strength to stand firm in the faith, even in the face of persecution. Help us to be watchful, alert, and sober-minded, praying always that we may have the strength to escape all that is coming and stand before the Son of Man (Luke 21:36).

Father, we pray for the revelation and defeat of the antichrist and all his systems. May he be consumed by the breath of Your mouth and destroyed by the brightness of Christ’s coming (2 Thessalonians 2:8). Guard Your saints from being deceived by his signs and wonders (Revelation 13:13-14), and help us to remain steadfast in Your truth, even when the whole world is led astray. Let us fear You alone, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), and may the knowledge of Your holiness compel us to live righteously, knowing that we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10).

We also lift up our struggle with sin and temptation. Keep us from entering into temptation, and deliver us from the evil one (Matthew 6:13). Let Your Word dwell in us richly (Colossians 3:16), so that we may not sin against You (Psalm 119:11). Wash us with the water of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26), and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Help us to walk in the light as You are in the light, having fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus cleansing us from all sin (1 John 1:7). Let us be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation (Philippians 2:15).

Lord, we ask for contentment in all circumstances, for we know that godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6). Guard our hearts from the love of money, which is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), and help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). May we be generous, willing to share, storing up treasure in heaven where moth and rust do not destroy (1 Timothy 6:18-19).

We pray for our families, friends, church families, pastors, and fellow believers around the world. May we spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some (Hebrews 10:24-25). Let us encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "today," so that none of us may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness (Hebrews 3:13). May our fellowship be grounded in Your truth, and may we walk in the light, confessing our sins to one another and praying for one another so that we may be healed (James 5:16).

Father, we ask that You would fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that we may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10). Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May we be a people who shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life (Philippians 2:15-16), and may our lives reflect the glory of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your kingdom come in power and glory. Strengthen us to stand firm in these last days, to be faithful witnesses of Your truth, and to finish the race You have set before us. We ask for Your grace to endure, Your wisdom to discern, and Your love to compel us to share the gospel with a lost and dying world. May we be found faithful when Christ returns, and may we hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).

Your heart for holiness and desire to be kept from deception really come through. We hear a genuine longing, not just to be safe, but to be ready, ready for Christ, walking in light, not in hiding. That kind of prayer doesn’t come from a casual place, and we’re grateful you shared it with us.

When we carry such a weight of concern for ourselves and for the whole church, it can feel overwhelming. It’s good to remember that the same God who calls us to purity and alertness also provides very ordinary, steady means to sustain us, the very things you named in your prayer: His Word, prayer, fellowship. These aren’t just boxes to check; they’re how He holds us close day by day.

One practical thing that has strengthened many is simply not walking this path alone. It’s easy to read the Bible by ourselves or pray in a corner, but there’s deep protection in a small group where we can study Scripture together, pray aloud for one another, and be honest about where we’re weak. A faithful home group or Bible study becomes a place where we learn to test the spirits together, where someone else’s insight catches a blind spot we didn’t see, and where we’re reminded that we aren’t the only ones fighting to stay awake. If you’re not already part of one, we’d gently encourage you to look for a group in your church or even ask your pastor where you might connect.

This isn’t about adding pressure or a new program, it’s about letting the body of Christ do what Christ designed it to do. And it’s one of the simplest ways we prepare ourselves, not through straining harder, but through steady, shared faithfulness.

Let’s pray together.

Father, thank You for the hunger this person has for truth and holiness. Guard them from every lie, and root them deeply in Your Word. Surround them with brothers and sisters who will walk with them, speak truth in love, and help them stay alert. Keep their whole body full of light, and let them rest today in Your faithful holding power. In Jesus’ name, amen.

How greatly it cheers the heart to hear such an outpouring of holy desire, so richly laden with the very words of Scripture! This prayer, making mention of the covenant promises and the soul’s deepest needs, ascends like incense before the throne. Surely the Spirit who prompts such longings will not fail to answer them in His time. The very fact that you cry out for protection from deception and for the light of His countenance is evidence that God has already begun a good work; and He who has begun it will complete it unto the day of Christ. To ask for holiness is no small thing, it is the dawn of that very grace within the soul. So be of good courage; your petition is already heard.

Yet let us ever remember that while we walk in the light, our fellowship with one another and with God does not depend upon our own brightness, but upon the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. You have rightly beseeched the Lord to sanctify you by the truth, but never imagine that your walking in the light washes away a single sin. That is the sacred office of the Lamb alone. The text says, “The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin,” not our progress in grace, not our attainments, not our increasingly clear vision. Look away from your own footsteps, for even the best of them are dusty, and fix your eyes upon the fountain opened for sin and uncleanness. There, and there only, is your perfect acceptance with the Father secured.

You plead for protection from the dragon’s flood of false doctrine and for strength to escape the coming wiles of antichrist. It is well. The Lord will keep the feet of His saints. Yet do not be dismayed if, for a season, you walk in darkness and see no light. The child of light may sometimes be surrounded by such a gloom that he cannot find the candle of comfort; but even then, let him trust in the name of the Lord and stay upon his God. When your own heart grows weak, He shall strengthen it. He hath put His fear in your heart, and He will cause you to walk in His statutes. Perseverance in holiness is not the fragile flower of human resolve, it is the sure work of the covenant-keeping Jehovah.

Therefore, use diligently the means you have named: the Word, prayer, the warnings of watchful preaching, the assembling of yourselves together, and the holy art of thanksgiving. Walk in the light He gives you, and be not content with unreality. God has no fellowship with guile; let your inmost soul be laid bare before Him, for He already sees it all. And though you discover a thousand imperfections, do not conclude that you are utterly cast away. Holiness in the regenerate is often but an infant; it is perfect in all its parts, though not in its development. A sincere groan after purity is a thing most pleasing to God. He will perfect that which concerneth you.

One more word: let the blessed reality of Christ’s approachableness calm your troubled heart. He bids you come to Him with all your doubts and fears; speak to Him now, even where you sit, and He will draw near. The pure in heart shall see God, and that promise is yours not because you have reached perfection, but because He has given you the desire to be pure. So press on; the Lord’s light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Though the night be dark, the morning cometh. Watch, therefore, and be sober, and may the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

You ask to be kept from deception, and this is a most necessary prayer. For error always trails after the truth: after the prophets came false prophets, and after the apostles false apostles, so also after Christ the deceiver will appear. The devil, seeing what to imitate, sows his own inventions secretly if he cannot choke the good seed. Therefore, you must guard your heart by putting away all falsehood and speaking truth with your neighbor, for we are members of one another, and nothing breeds enmity like deceit and guile.

In your worship, remember that God is Spirit, and those who worship must worship in spirit and in truth. Do not trust in outward purity alone, but offer your very self as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. Circumcise not your flesh but your evil thoughts; crucify your unreasonable desires. This is the true worship: to dedicate your mind and body to the Lord.

You have been created anew, not in a figure, but in righteousness and holiness of truth. Christ sanctified Himself as an offering for you, that you might be sanctified in the truth. He calls you now to present your body as a living sacrifice. And as you ask for holiness, do not neglect the talent you have received. Whether you have ability in teaching, in giving, or in any other work, use it for the common advantage of all. Nothing is so pleasing to God as to live for the good of your brothers and sisters. Even one talent can bring gain, as the widow’s small coins were accepted.

Let yourself be nailed fast to His word; when you are anchored there, the surging waves of worldly cares and false doctrine cannot sweep you from the harbor of truth. He draws you to Himself through prayer and the preaching of the gospel. Hold tightly to these means, and walk in the light, testing what is said by the standard of the truth you have received. In this way, you will stand firm and be counted among those who see God.

Your prayer rises like incense, and I am grateful for the clarity and urgency woven through every line. You have asked the Father for what He already delights to give: protection from deception, a heart established in His truth, and a life that endures to the end. That is no small request; it is the cry of the Spirit within you, longing for the full inheritance purchased by the blood of Christ.

Deception never announces itself with a clatter. False prophets rarely wear a sign. Our enemy is subtle, and the most dangerous lies often travel on the edge of truth, dressed in familiar words, plausible enough to lull the unwary. The Savior warned us plainly: in the days before His return, many will arise to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. The peril is real, and your prayer proves you are not drifting in careless sleep. That pleases the Lord.

What anchors us? The truth that came from the Father through the Son. Truth is not a shifting concept; it is a Person. Jesus declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” He did not merely teach truth; He is truth, and His words abide forever. All the enemy’s smoke cannot dim that light when it burns within us. That is why we wash daily in the water of the Word. That is why we do not forsake the gathering of believers, where iron sharpens iron and the Spirit confirms the testimony of Jesus through faithful preaching and teaching. The truth dwells in us, and it is meant to dwell richly through psalms, hymns, and grateful song.

The false comfort that says “all continues as it was” lures people to sleep, but you are asking for a different spirit, the spirit of wisdom and revelation, eyes open to see the glorious inheritance and also the encroaching darkness. That wisdom never puffs up; it leads to holiness. A heart that sees God will be pure, separated from idols, not by grim effort but by the joy of knowing Christ as the supreme treasure. Every lesser hope that vies for His place will eventually betray us. But contentment in Him, a quiet confidence that He will perfect what concerns us, is a strong defense against greed and the anxiety that fuels deception.

Guard your walk in love. The truth produces love, and love for the brethren is a bright sign that we have passed from death to life. When we welcome faithful laborers, when we test the spirits and hold fast to sound doctrine, we become fellow helpers in the truth. That includes your prayers for those who teach and lead, your longing for government to restrain evil, and your desire to see the saints kept from the coming hour of trial. These are not isolated pleas; they are the symphony of a heart tuned to the age to come.

Do not fear. The one who began a good work in you will complete it. The blood that cleanses speaks better things than the blood of Abel, and the risen Shepherd will lose none of His sheep. Keep asking, keep watching, keep encouraging others to walk in the light as He is in the light. When the day breaks and the shadows flee, the truth you have loved will welcome you home. Until then, grace, mercy, and peace be yours in truth and love.
