Thank You for drawing us to Jesus, Jn 6:44, allowing us to understand and believe in Christ, Matt 11:25, Matt 16:17, 1 Cor 1:30, Phil 1:29. Thank You for faith in the blood of Jesus Christ Your Son, Rom 3:25, which cleanses us from all sin, 1 Jn 1:7! Thank You for the power of the stripes that wounded Jesus that heal us and make us whole, Isa 53:5, Matt 8:17, 1 Pet 2:24! And thank You for raising Jesus from the dead, defeating death, and sending The Holy Spirit, the Counselor, Advocate, Helper, Intercessor and Giver of Life, John 6:63.

We specifically ask for protection from deception and lies, Matt 24:4-8, John 8:44, Rev 12:9, from greed, Lk 12:15, Heb 13:5 and may You perform it by granting contentment, 1 Tim 6:6-9, Phil 4:11-13. Let Your Bride walk in the light, 1 Jn 1:7, help us make ourselves ready, Rev 19:7-10. It seems only You can do this for You who begin a good work ultimately bring it to completion, Phil 1:6, You perfect that which concerns us, Ps 138:8, perhaps we do not have because we do not ask, James 4:2? May it not be said on that day that we did not ask for the holiness without which no one will see You, Lord, Heb 12:14. Jesus clearly taught, "Blessed are the pure in heart , for THEY shall see God, Matt 5:8, when we come out of their midst and are separate, 2 Cor 6:17-18, perfect holiness in the fear of The Lord, 2 Cor 7:1, You are ready to punish all disobedience once our obedience is complete, 2 Cor 10:6.

Protect us all from sin, Zeph 3:13, Ps 119:11, Rev 14:5, let us not enter into temptation, Mk 14:38, Lk 11:4, keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, and keep us on Your path of increasing clarity, Prov 4:18, Col 1:9, Col 4:12, Phil 1:9-11. Sanctify us in Your Truth, Your Word is Truth, John 17:17, James 1:18, 2 Tim 3:16, especially when rightly divided, 2 Tim 2:15, with careful attention to our lives and teaching, 1 Tim 4:16.

Protect us from the dragon's false doctrine and persecution spewing across the world, Rev 12:15. Help restrain these evils, 2 Thes 2:7, and use godly government to restrain and punish evil, 1 Tim 2:1-4; Rev 12:16, Rom 13:1-7. We pray for grace to stay on the alert, Mk 13:33, for strength to escape all that's coming and stand before The Son of Man, Luke 21:36.

We ask antichrist be revealed, slain and annihilated, 2 Thes 2:8, that the saints are guarded from buying into his system, Rev 13:6, and that he, the false prophet and devil be fully and finally sentenced forever, Rev 20:10. May we fear you, Ecclesiastes 12:13, Rev 14:6-7, and knowing the fear of The Lord persuade people to prepare for The Judgement Seat of Christ, 2 Cor 5:10-11. We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the truth of God’s Word and the protection it provides. Your request resonates deeply with us, as we too seek to be guarded from deception and to walk in the light of Christ. The Scriptures you’ve referenced are powerful reminders of the spiritual battle we face, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to shield His people from the schemes of the enemy.

The Word of God is our sure defense against deception, as it is written: "Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth" (John 17:17). The Bible is not merely a book but the living, active Word that discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). We must immerse ourselves in Scripture, allowing it to wash us clean and shape our minds to think as Christ thinks. Prayer is our lifeline to the Father, where we humbly submit our wills to His and seek His wisdom. Preaching and teaching, when grounded in God’s Word, equip us to recognize falsehood and stand firm in the faith. Fellowship with other believers strengthens us, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and worship and thanksgiving realign our hearts with the truth of who God is.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that seeks to distort God’s Word and lead His people astray. The enemy masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), but we refuse to be deceived. We stand on the truth that Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and no one comes to the Father except through Him. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone does not confess Jesus Christ as Lord, they remain under the deception of the evil one. We pray for those who have not yet surrendered to Christ, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the gospel.

We lift up the Bride of Christ, asking that she would be made ready, without spot or wrinkle (Ephesians 5:27). Holiness is not optional, it is the requirement for seeing God (Hebrews 12:14). We repent of any compromise in our lives and ask for the Holy Spirit’s power to walk in purity. Let us not be like those who have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5). Instead, may we be a people who pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness (1 Timothy 6:11).

We pray for protection from the dragon’s lies and the antichrist’s deception. May the Lord restrain the evil one and use godly leaders to uphold justice (Romans 13:1-4). We ask that the antichrist be revealed and defeated, and that the saints would not be deceived by his false signs and wonders (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10). Let us be vigilant, watching and praying, so that we may escape the coming judgment and stand before the Son of Man (Luke 21:36).

Father, we thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Guard us from deception by filling us with Your truth. Sanctify us in Your Word, and let us walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7). May we be a people who test every spirit (1 John 4:1) and hold fast to what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Strengthen us to stand firm in the faith, knowing that You who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).

We pray for our families, friends, pastors, and fellow believers, that we would all be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17) and that our fellowship would be a testimony to the world of Your truth. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let us be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16), winning souls for Your kingdom and leading many to righteousness (Daniel 12:3).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. When we lift up a cry like this, drenched in Scripture and yearning for purity, it's clear the Spirit is stirring a deep hunger for holiness in you, and we're grateful to join our voices with yours.

It's true that only God can keep us from deception and complete the good work He began. And yet, the very things you've named, the Word, prayer, preaching, teaching, fellowship, worship, and thanksgiving, are not just requests to ask for; they are the beautiful, ordinary means through which He actually grows us. Spiritual growth is usually gradual, almost imperceptible, a long training rather than a quick fix. But in that patient process, when we abide in these practices together, our lives are steadily conformed to Christ.

One thing that shines through your prayer is the importance of community. Deception often loses its power in the light of genuine Christian fellowship, where we can test the spirits alongside trusted brothers and sisters. If you're not already, consider deepening your roots in a small group or prayer partnership where you can study the Word, share honestly, and guard one another from error. Such friendships are a gift God uses to keep us alert and walking in the light.

May the Lord who calls you continue to sanctify you completely.

Lord Jesus, thank You for drawing us to Yourself and for giving us a heart that longs for purity. Protect this dear believer and the whole Body from the subtle lies of the enemy. By Your Word and Spirit, wash us and make us ready. Anchor them in a faithful community of truth, and let Your light guide every step until the day we stand before You in joy. In Your name we pray, Amen.

Your pleading text from 2 Thessalonians reaches the heart of our present warfare, and your chain of scriptural petitions is a sweet savor before the throne of grace. It is well that you cry for protection from deception, for the mystery of iniquity is ever a subtle poison. The lying signs and wonders of that Wicked One will deceive, if it were possible, the very elect; but the elect are guarded because they have received the love of the truth that they might be saved. That love of the truth is your best bulwark.

Let none imagine that a mere intellectual assent to a system of doctrine is this love. There must be a trembling at the Word, a sacred reverence that dares not trifle with a jot or tittle of what God has spoken. Those who quake at His Word, who receive it not as the word of man but as it is in truth, the Word of God, find it effectually working in them. This holy awe is a sharp sword against the smooth insinuations of the serpent. When the deceiver whispers his false peace and his broad way, the soul that trembles at the divine threatenings will not be beguiled.

You plead for the washing of water by the Word. This is the grand instrument of sanctification. The Word of God, both incarnate and inspired, is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. It pierces to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and there is not a joint or marrow in our moral nature that escapes its sharp edge. When we hear it preached with power, when we read it with meditation, when we speak of it in holy fellowship, we expose every dark chamber of our being to its searching light. A church and a soul perpetually bathed in the Word cannot long harbor a known deceit. The truth drives out the lie as light banishes darkness.

You ask for holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. Mark well that it is not merely morality, the washing of the outside of the cup, but a clean inside. Holiness is separation from the world, a coming out from among them, a being distinct not in peculiarity of garb but in purity of heart and life. There is a work of the Holy Spirit that makes the very nature of a man to loathe sin, not merely to weep over its consequences but to hate the vile thing itself. This inward hatred of sin is a sure preservative against the allurements of the antichristian system, for that system will offer a morality, a philanthropy, a religiousness that lacks the true atonement and the real regeneration. Only the soul that has tasted of the new birth and follows after experimental, vital holiness will discern the counterfeit.

Let your prayer for the restraint of evil be ever joined with a calm confidence. The earth helps the woman, and the dragon cannot wholly flood the church with his foul stream. God uses governments, imperfect as they are, to hold back the torrent, that the saints may be kept for the final conflict. But do not rest in this external check. Escape lies in a personal acquaintance with the living Word, a daily standing before the Son of Man in prayer. The word of His patience must be kept, and then He will keep you from the hour of temptation.

You seek the revelation and destruction of the antichrist. That day is coming, and the breath of the Lord’s mouth will slay him. Meanwhile, buy the truth and sell it not. Buy it not at the cheap mart of human opinion but from the sure testimony of God. Pay the price of earnest study, often in tears, and of a resolute obedience. Buy experimental truth, truth felt within, truth that has humbled you and drawn you to the cross. If you have only doctrinal truth, you may be puffed up and fall into the pride of the deceiver. But if you have learned your own nothingness, if the truth has made you take the lowest room, then the arch-deceiver cannot exalt you into his empty pomp.

The means you name, the Word, prayer, preaching, teaching, fellowship, praise, these are the golden conduits of grace. Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together, for in the furnace of holy communion many drossy errors are consumed. Test the spirits, for many false prophets are gone out. But the anointing which you have received of the Holy One abideth and teacheth you all things. This is no new doctrine, but the old promise: they shall all be taught of God. And the fruit of that teaching is not a phantom righteousness but a life that walks in the light, a whole body full of light, with no dark part harboring a secret lust or an unjudged deceit.

Fear not, then, that the good work will fail. He that began it will perfect it, not because your grasp is strong but because His covenant is ordered in all things and sure. The fear of the Lord is His treasure, and He will maintain it in your heart by the constant application of the Word and the discipline of the Spirit. Go forward, pleading the blood that cleanses, relying on the strips that heal, and standing in that perfect justification which is yours in Christ Jesus. Being thus hidden in Him, the wicked one touches you not. The peace of God, a garrison mightier than armies, shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Such a prayer, woven so tightly with the very words of Scripture, shows the heart already taught by God. You have asked to be kept from deception, and rightly so. For the deceiver does not come plainly as he is, but he fashions himself into an angel of light, and his ministers take on the mask of truth to enact the drama of error. They speak of righteousness, yet their works deny Him. They promise freedom, yet lead souls into the pit. Therefore, marvel not when false teachers appear as brothers, but marvel if you can unmask them, for it is a gift of grace to test every spirit and hold fast to what is good.

Yet hear the good tidings: Light has already sprung up on those who sat in darkness. Christ the true Light has shone, and His blood is not that of mere animals offered in type, but a sacrifice carried into heaven itself. He sanctified Himself for our sake, that we might be sanctified in truth. This is our strength: not our own will, but the power of His offering. When you plead to be washed by the water of the Word, you plead for the very power that makes you a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. Do not then fear the battle as if it were a heavy toil. The arms He gives are arms of light, turning the conflict into a solemn dance. The day is at hand; put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and the darkness cannot overcome you.

But let no one think that faithful words alone guard him. Many who knew the Scriptures were led astray because they did not obey the truth but obeyed unrighteousness. For the fall is of free choice, not of necessity. So walk in the light as He is in the light, with no hidden part dark. If you cherish any secret sin, you make a door for the enemy. Yet if you confess and forsake it, the blood of Jesus cleanses you from all unrighteousness. This is the narrow path: not only hearing but doing, not only receiving grace but returning it in a life worthy of the gospel. Let your lamp not be hidden under a basket; the calumnies of men cannot obscure your brightness if you live a strict and sober life.

You have prayed for the whole body, for your family, your pastors, your brethren who meet together. This is excellent. For fellowship in the light is a mighty guard, as iron sharpens iron. Yet even there, be watchful. Some who boast of the Spirit may yet betray the Lord with a kiss. Receive not every teacher; test their fruit. Do they offer a cheap peace without the cross? Do they turn the grace of God into a license for greed or impurity? Remember, those who serve their own bellies mar the heavenly banquet, grabbing at inferior food before the feast is ready. Better to endure affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.

Stand therefore, girded with truth, having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. The affliction you may face is not the parent of grief, but can become an occasion of joy, yes, even great joy, when you count it fellowship with His sufferings. If we go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach, we share in His sanctification. The world hated Him first, but He has overcome the world. So let your heart not be troubled; the peace of God will garrison your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Finally, do not cease to ask, for you have not because you ask not. Ask for holiness, for purity of heart, that you may see God. Ask that your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless. He who began a good work in you will complete it. Only persevere, for the promise stands: they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. May your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Your prayer rises with a kind of desperation that God delights to answer. The hunger for protection from deception, for a pure heart, for a life that actually walks in light, that is the very work of the Spirit in you, and it echoes the longing of every true pastor’s heart. There is simply no greater joy than seeing someone earnest to walk in truth, not just talk about it or mentally assent to it, but to walk in it.

You asked the Lord to guard you by the Word, by prayer, by teaching, by fellowship. That combination is not an accident; it is how Christ washes his bride with the water of his Word so that she might be holy and without blemish. And notice what you instinctively know: deception rarely comes in pure, ugly heresy. It comes wrapped in truth, with just enough light to seem right. The enemy does not often come as a dragon; he comes as an angel of light, mixing enough Scripture to make the poison palatable. That is why mere mental agreement is never enough. The foundation that stands in the storm is not just hearing the sayings of Jesus, but doing them. Obedience to truth, not consent to truth, is what anchors a soul. Many people believe the truth about Jesus yet are not building on the rock. So when you ask to be kept from deception, you are really asking for a life of active, humble, doer-of-the-Word faith. That is a request the Father will never ignore.

You also touched on holiness, and I want to encourage you there. Some have made holiness a list of outward things, dress codes, appearances, rules that can be kept while the heart remains proud or cold. Reacting against that, others have neglected holiness altogether, as if the inner life has no outward evidence. But the holiness without which no one will see the Lord is a thing of the heart. Pure in heart, clean inside, set apart for him. It is an inward reality that cannot help but shape every part of life, your body, your relationships, your appetites. God calls us to live in purity, not as the world around us does, but as those who belong to him. And he has given us his Spirit for this very purpose: to conform us into the image of Christ, to lift us beyond mere rule-keeping into genuine love that willingly shuts the door on lust, greed, and falsehood.

The urgency you feel about Christ’s return and the rise of antichrist forces is good and scriptural. The certainty that Jesus will come in a moment, like a thief, gives a powerful push toward purity. If we really believe that today might be the day we stand before him, the hidden things lose their grip, and we long to be found unblameable in holiness before our God. You asked that the Lord would keep you from the evil one, and Jesus himself prayed that very thing for his disciples. He is faithful to do it, often by drawing us deeper into the fellowship of believers who love the truth, who test the spirits, who walk in the light together.

So continue in what you have learned. Continue asking, as you have, for a whole body full of light with no dark part. The Lord who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. Walk in truth. Love one another in truth. And know that as you do, you are already being guarded by the peace of God that passes all understanding.
