It seems only You can do this for You who begin a good work ultimately bring it to completion, Phil 1:6, You perfect that which concerns us, Ps 138:8, perhaps we do not have because we do not ask, James 4:2? Help restrain these evils, 2 Thes 2:7, and use godly government to restrain and punish evil, 1 Tim 2:1-4; Rev 12:16, Rom 13:1-7. We pray for grace to stay on the alert, Mk 13:33, for strength to escape all that's coming and stand before The Son of Man, Luke 21:36.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the light and truth of God’s Word, which guides us through every step of life’s journey. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, and we thank You for drawing us to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. It is only through His precious blood that we are cleansed from all sin, and by His stripes we are healed. We rejoice in the victory of His resurrection and the gift of the Holy Spirit, our Counselor and Helper, who leads us into all truth.

Father, we lift up this earnest plea for protection from deception, for we know the days are evil and the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. The Scriptures warn us that even the elect could be deceived if that were possible, and so we cry out for Your divine guard over our hearts and minds. We ask that You would sanctify us in Your truth, Your Word is truth, and that we would be washed by the water of the Word, that no deceit or falsehood would find a foothold in us. Keep us from the lies of the enemy, from the seduction of greed, and from the allure of false doctrine. Grant us contentment in You alone, for You have said that godliness with contentment is great gain.

Lord, we recognize that holiness is not optional, without it, no one will see You. We confess that we have not always sought purity of heart as we ought, and we ask for Your forgiveness and Your strength to walk in increasing clarity and obedience. Help us to make ourselves ready as Your Bride, without spot or wrinkle, holy and blameless before You. We long for the day when we will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ, not with shame, but with confidence, having lived lives that honor You. May we be found faithful, walking in the light as You are in the light, having fellowship with one another and with You.

We pray for protection from false believers, deceivers, and the spirit of antichrist that is already at work in the world. Guard us from the dragon’s schemes and the persecution that seeks to silence the truth. We ask that You would restrain evil through godly government and raise up leaders who fear You and uphold justice. Give us grace to stay alert, to watch and pray, so that we may escape all that is coming upon the world and stand before the Son of Man.

Father, we plead for the revelation and destruction of the antichrist and all his systems. May the saints not be deceived into buying into his lies, and may the false prophet and the devil himself be cast into the lake of fire, where they belong. Stir in us a holy fear of You, that we may persuade others to prepare for eternity. Make us wise to win souls, to lead many to righteousness, and to instruct others in Your ways. May we be faithful ambassadors of Christ, making disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything You have commanded.

We offer these prayers with thanksgiving, not only for ourselves but for our families, friends, church families, pastors, and all who call upon Your name. May we walk in unity, testing every spirit, and holding fast to what is good. Let our lives be full of light, with no dark part in us, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. It is through Him alone that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are reconciled. May Your will be done in our lives, and may we bring glory to Your name in all that we do. Amen.

We were moved by the care in your prayer, not only for yourself but for family, friends, pastors and fellow believers who walk alongside you. That desire to stay in the light and be kept from deception is a good and humble place to be, and we are grateful to stand with you in it.

The practices you named, the Word, prayer, faithful preaching and teaching, gathering with the church, fellowship, praise and thanksgiving, are how the Lord so often keeps His people steady over time. We have found it helps to think of them less as something to try perfectly all at once and more as long training. Like preparing for a long race, small regular steps shape discernment and character gradually, and the heart behind them matters, coming not to earn favor but to stay close to Christ and be formed by Him.

A practical next step that helps many is to keep one or two of those rhythms steady and shared. Staying rooted in a local church where the Word is taught faithfully and where you can talk openly with trusted believers about what you are hearing helps bring things into the light and test what is true together.

Father, we thank You for drawing us to Jesus and for Your light and truth that lead us. Keep these dear ones and those they love close to You, guard their hearts and minds in Christ, and give them clarity and contentment as they seek You day by day. Make their fellowship encouraging and their walk increasingly clear. In Jesus name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your petition has come before us and we join our hearty amen to it, for it is a prayer after the mind of God. We too thank the Father for His light and His truth which alone can lead us to His holy hill, and for His sovereign grace which drew us to Christ when we had no heart to come. No man cometh except the Father draw him, and blessed be His name that He has given us faith in the blood of His Son which cleanseth from all sin, and has raised up Jesus and sent forth the Holy Spirit to be our Counselor and Keeper.

You have asked a needful thing in asking to be kept from deception. The apostle warns that the working of Satan is with all deceivableness, and our Lord Himself said, let no man deceive you. In this evil day truth is fallen in the streets and error stalks abroad with a fair face. Rome has crept in with subtlety, and a thousand other deceits flatter the flesh. There is but one safeguard. Buy the truth and sell it not. Holy Scripture is the standard of the truth of God. To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this Word there is no light in them. Your Word is truth. Buy only the truth, buy all the truth, buy the truth at any price and hold it fast, for you will never be received by God at last unless you bring the truth in your right hand.

Therefore we plead with you and for you that you may be guarded and sanctified by those very means which God has appointed. Continue in the Word, for it is the water that washes and the light that makes our whole body full of light. Continue instant in prayer, for the peace of God shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Forsake not the preaching and teaching of the Word rightly divided, nor the assembling of yourselves together, for there the saints test the spirits and walk in fellowship and are built up. Truth never exerts such power as when it is embodied, and Christ Himself is the Truth lived out before us, transparent from head to foot, truth in word and truth in deed. Abiding in Him and in His Word you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

We make your requests our own, that the Lord would keep you from sin and from entering into temptation, that He would keep you from the evil one and from false brethren and deceivers, that He would restrain the dragon and his doctrine and bruise Satan under your feet shortly. We ask with you for that holiness without which no man shall see the Lord, and for that purity of heart to which the promise is, they shall see God. He who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, and He will perfect that which concerneth you. Watch and pray, stay upon the alert, and walk in the light as He is in the light, with no dark part and no hidden deceit, growing in clarity like the shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

May the Lord grant you contentment in place of greed, steadiness in place of wandering, and a holy fear which is the beginning of wisdom, that you may persuade others and win souls and lead many to righteousness. May the God of all grace keep you and your household, your friends and your pastors and all who pray with you, that you may stand before the Son of Man unashamed at His coming.

Your prayer has been received and we join you in it with thanksgiving. We thank God with you for His light and truth that lead us to His holy hill as Psalm 43:3 says, for His drawing us to Jesus according to John 6:44, for opening our eyes to understand and believe in Christ, for faith in the blood of Jesus His Son which cleanses us from all sin, for the wounds of Christ by which we are healed, and for raising Jesus from the dead and sending the Holy Spirit who is our Counselor and Helper and Giver of Life.

You have asked well for protection from deception, and this is a needful prayer in these days. Scripture warns us that the deceiver works with lying wonders and unrighteous deception in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10, that there is a war not only from open enemies but also from deceivers and from false brethren within, and that the devil brings in wicked doctrines to mar the freedom God has given us and to persuade us that evil is merely nature. There are those who teach another doctrine, not from conscience but from vainglory, and who transform themselves as apostles of Christ. There are also mere precepts and doctrines of men which perish with the using. For this reason we must not be careless but must test the spirits as 1 John 4:1 commands, and charge that no other doctrine be taught.

God guards His people by the means you have named, and we pray that He will use them fully in your life. He sanctifies us in His truth, for His Word is truth as John 17:17 says, and He washes us with the water of the Word according to Ephesians 5:26. This comes through the Word itself, when it is rightly divided as 2 Timothy 2:15 says, and through faithful preaching and teaching, with careful attention to life and doctrine as 1 Timothy 4:16 says. It comes through prayer and staying alert as Mark 13:33 says, through fellowship and not neglecting to meet together as Hebrews 10:25 says, through walking in the light and having fellowship with one another as 1 John 1:7 says, and through praise and thanksgiving with hearts guarded by the peace of God in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:6-7 says. In this way the whole body may be full of light with no dark part as Luke 11:36 says.

Yet we must remember that right doctrine alone is not enough if holy living is not present with it. To have all faith and all knowledge of the Scriptures profits nothing unless good works are present with us. The form of doctrine delivered to us is not only to be believed but to be obeyed from the heart, and that form is living aright in conformity with a pure life and bright conversation. As you prayed, blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God in Matthew 5:8, and without holiness no one will see the Lord as Hebrews 12:14 says. We are called to come out and be separate and to perfect holiness in the fear of God as 2 Corinthians 6:17 and 7:1 say, and to keep ourselves from sin, from entering into temptation, and from the evil one, walking on the path of increasing clarity as Proverbs 4:18 says.

So we pray with you and for you, for your family, friends, church and fellow believers, that God who began a good work in you will bring it to completion as Philippians 1:6 says, and will perfect that which concerns you as Psalm 138:8 says. We ask that He grant you contentment against greed, strength to escape temptation, love for His Word, discernment to recognize false believers and deceivers, and grace to fear Him and to win souls and lead many to righteousness. We ask that He restrain evil, expose the works of darkness, and keep you from buying into any system of deception, and that He will make you ready as a bride adorned for her husband, walking in the light where there is no darkness at all.

May the Lord keep you on His path, increase your knowledge and discernment, and cause your love to abound so that you may stand before the Son of Man without shame. We ask all this through Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior, trusting in His blood and His resurrection. Amen.

Your prayer for protection from deception is deeply biblical and right, and God hears that cry for His light and truth to lead you all the way home as Psalm 43 says. You are asking for exactly what He wants to give, a guarded heart and a mind kept clear in Christ.

Scripture shows how He does this guarding work. He sanctifies us by His truth, and His Word is truth. That means staying continually in the Word, learning to handle it accurately and honestly, and paying careful attention both to what we believe and how we live. It also means staying in fellowship with other believers, testing what we hear, walking in the light together, praying, hearing faithful preaching and teaching, and giving thanks and worship. When we continue in what we heard from the beginning about Jesus, we continue in the Son and in the Father. There is great joy when we walk in that truth, and real danger when we drift from it.

Part of that guarding is learning to recognize false prophets and false teachers. They do not come with a label. They come disguised in sheep's clothing and they often speak truth most of the time, which is what makes them deceptive. The small portion that is false is where the danger lies. We are called to be discerning and to judge what we hear by Scripture.

The Bible gives us clear marks. If someone claims to speak for the Lord and what he predicts does not come to pass, he is not speaking for God. If someone denies essential truth about the Lord Jesus, that He is God come in the flesh, the Lord who bought us, that is a sign of a deceiver. If someone uses persuasive words to make merchandise of people, seeking financial gain and living off others, that is a warning sign. Early believers were even taught to watch for those who quickly took advantage of hospitality and expected to be supported. False teachers also tend to comfort people in their sin rather than call them to repentance, promising peace when there is no peace, and giving false assurance that it is safe to return to what God has delivered us from. Much false teaching in later times gives heed to deceiving spirits and is built on experience rather than Scripture.

By contrast, the true God is not a burden like idols that have to be carried. He carries us, and He alone can declare the end from the beginning and bring His counsel to pass. He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion, and He perfects what concerns you. Your desire for holiness, for a pure heart that will see God, for a path of increasing clarity and for contentment that guards against greed, is exactly the work He does as you abide in Christ. To abide in Him is the place of safety.

So keep asking, as you have. Keep asking for a love of the truth that refuses the lie, for the Spirit to help you discern, for strength to stay alert and to stand before the Son of Man, and for wisdom to win souls and lead many to righteousness. Keep in the Word daily, keep in prayer, keep in fellowship where the Word is taught faithfully and where you can test the spirits together, and keep walking in the light where the blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin.

I join you in praying that the Lord will wash you and your family, friends, and fellow believers with the water of His Word, keep you from the evil one and from entering into temptation, keep you from every form of deception and from those who would deceive, restrain evil as He has promised, and let His peace guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus until He is revealed and all His enemies are finally judged. May He keep you walking in truth and in love, and make you ready as a bride made ready for her husband. Amen.
