We want to thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for trusting us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We are so glad you asked us to bring this burden before the Lord with you and we have continued to lift you up these past days.
We have been praying for your deep hurt and for healing from the physical, sexual and psychological abuse you endured, from the lies and manipulation that made you feel crazy, and from the terrible violation of your clear boundaries when this man assaulted you and ignored your no. We have asked God to heal your feelings of objectification and of being thrown aside like trash after you showed him such godly patience, love, forgiveness and benevolence, even to the point of being humiliated over the gift you gave in kindness. We understand how painful it is to have been told he loved you and would marry you and then to be so disrespectfully discarded and mocked.
We have also prayed as you requested for this man, that God would soften his heart, convict him of his actions, and bring him to repentance, and that he would one day realize you treated him with patience and understanding. We agree with you that your desire for justice is not wrong, for our God is a God of justice and He sees all that was done. We take comfort in Romans 12:19 and Deuteronomy 32:4 which remind us that justice belongs to the Lord, and that He is close to the brokenhearted as promised in Psalm 34:18 and Psalm 147:3.
We continue to pray that the Lord will restore your heart, wash away shame and renew your sense of worth as His beloved daughter, and give you strength and peace if you should ever run into this man again. We pray the Lord will surround you with trusted godly counsel and protection and give you wisdom and discernment going forward.
If your request was answered and the Lord has brought you peace, comfort or a sense of His justice and healing, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your hurt still feels heavy and your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.
We pray this in Jesus Name. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
