Justice for clergy sexual abuse

We come before the throne of God with heavy hearts, lifting up the grave injustice of clergy sexual abuse and the systemic cover-ups that have allowed such evil to persist. The Lord sees all and hates the oppression of the vulnerable. His Word declares, "The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). We stand on this promise, believing that God will expose every hidden deed done in darkness and bring it into the light of His truth.
The Bible is clear that those who enable or conceal sin, especially the abuse of power over the innocent, are not guiltless. Jesus Himself warned, "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea" (Mark 9:42). The Lord will not be mocked; He will judge the secrets of men (Romans 2:16). We pray that every lawyer, leader, or institution that has protected abusers rather than the abused would face the full weight of earthly and divine justice. May their schemes unravel, their reputations crumble, and their hearts be broken in repentance, or broken by the consequences of their choices.
We lift up Shara Vithoulkas and Kris Vallotton by name, asking that the Lord would expose any complicity in covering up abuse. If they have been part of systems that silenced victims or shielded predators, we pray that the fear of the Lord would grip their hearts. "For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light" (Luke 8:17). May they be confronted with the truth, forced to reckon with the harm they’ve enabled, and brought to a place of genuine repentance. If they have acted unjustly, let them face the legal, spiritual, and social consequences without delay.
To the survivors of abuse, those who have been betrayed by the very people who were supposed to protect them, we say: God sees your pain. He collects every tear (Psalm 56:8) and promises to be near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten. The Lord is your defender, and He will ensure that justice is served. We pray for your healing, for the restoration of your voice, and for the strength to walk through the process of seeking accountability without being consumed by bitterness. May you find refuge in Christ, who was Himself a victim of injustice and understands your suffering.
Father, we ask that You would raise up courageous whistleblowers, relentless investigators, and righteous judges to pursue this matter. Let the truth prevail, no matter how powerful the offenders or how deep the corruption. Break the spirit of fear that keeps victims silent and the spirit of pride that keeps abusers protected. We declare that no institution is above Your justice, and no individual is beyond Your reach. Expose the darkness, Lord. Let the light of Your holiness flood every corner of the Church and the legal systems that have failed the vulnerable.
We also pray for the Church as a whole. May this crisis drive us to repentance, not just for the sins of others, but for our own silence, our own complicity in systems that prioritize reputation over righteousness. Teach us to be a people who protect the weak, confront evil, and walk in the fear of the Lord. May we never again confuse mercy with enabling or love with cover-ups. Let us be a city on a hill, a beacon of truth and justice, so that the world may see Your glory.

Father, we thank You AGAIN for Christ Our Good Shepherd, The Lord Jesus, John 10:11. We ask PROTECTION for them, thank You for these precious youngsters, that You care for us, even ALL OUR CHILDREN and EXTENDED FAMILY, Ps 23:3 Isa 40:11, Ezek 34:15, Rev 7:17. JESUS, Take care of tour little ones, comfort and feed them and us, for You have given us a Shepherd after Our Father's Heart, even Jesus, so kindly FEED THEM on wisdom and knowledge, Jer 3:15.Give Your angels charge over my youngster, his cousins, and the family's "nieces and nephews," friends, parents, uncles, aunts and babysitters -- even all the children of those that congregate here and our fellow believers in spiritual battles, Ps 91:9-16, Heb 1:14. Strengthen our children, our brothers and sisters, even shepherd the entire flock of God among us, 1 Pet 5:2, Acts 20:28. Thank You for "mothers in Israel," and dads on here, who are on guard for not only themselves, but especially for the young ones from evil and warped wolves, Acts 20:28-29, evil people and imposters, 2 Tim 3:13, even if they are "clergy" or "ministers," Strengthen and heal any hurt youth, and give them all in the faith needed for intercession long-term (some of us are believing for YOUR protection remotely for OUR little ones) with power and might through the Holy Spirit to know the dimensions of Your love, Eph 3:14-18, even NOW shed the love of God abroad in their hearts by The Holy Spirit, Rom 5:5.
Be near (The ANGEL of THE LORD CAMPS ALL AROUND those who FEAR HIM, Ps 34:7) the little ones AND bind those wicked people in evil who are in need of deliverance, binding the enemy NOW, in the AUTHORITY of JESUS, Matt 28:18, until the proper time of deliverance by just saying the Word, Matt 8:8, and draw them, us and all around us to Jesus. Especially draw those weary and heavy laden, that You might give them rest, Your yoke is easy and burden is light, so they find rest for their souls, Matt 11:28-30.
Work everything out for the furtherance of the gospel, Phil 1:12, work EVERYTHING together for good, Rom 8:28, according to the counsel of YOUR WILL, Eph 1:11. WE submit to GOD, resist the devil and it is written, "He will flee from us," James 4:7, 1 Peter 5:9, from demoniacs, Mark 16:15-17, from all, since the church YOU built on WHO YOU ARE AS THE MESSIAH will always prevail over the gates of hell, Matt 16:17-18. We pray the armor of God on this one, even now, keep their eyes from seeing, hearing or speaking evil, and their minds AND bodies to be KEPT FROM THE EVIL ONE AND EVIL PEOPLE, 2 Tim 3:13, 2 Thes 3:2, "See to it you do not cause one of these little ones to stumble for it would be better to be drowned with a millstone," Matt 10:42, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2, "SEE TO IT YOU DO NOT DESPISE even ONE of these LITTLE ONES, for I (Jesus The Risen King) say to you their angels ALWAYS see the Face of Our Father," Matt 18:10.
